I thought this film was pretty poor to be honest - not in a technical way however. Every element is stunning. I just didn't find the story or characters interesting at all. Why did David Fincher make this film?

It is 100% aesthetically pleasing but with no real substance or motivation at all. What's with hurricane Katrina too - why just throw that in there? Wasn't the film long enough?

Also, if you dance into a road - you're gonna get hit! Don't blame others!

and with that one I couldn't agree less. Very disappointing movie for me. Seemed pretentious, and clueless at times (plot-wise). Some very nice shots and great cinematography there, but it is not enough for such a long and expensive 'feature'.

Agree with you 100%. This is film making at it's best. So glad to know I'm not the only one that liked Synecdoche New York.

Not sure if you are interested but Che is playing at the Nuart theater now. (I guess that would be considered an 09 film)
