What a difference 10 months make! Turns out the polls were right, Ron Paul didn't win a single state, his best showing was 2nd place in states with his strongest support. His supporters were wildly enthusiastic, but greatly outnumbered by mainstream Republicans.

hello, most americans do not understand this process ourselves. we wish it was simple but it is really corrupt and comples. we cannot vote for Ron Paul because most of us are independents or not registered republicans because we are sick of the republican party. in most states (all are different) you need to be registered as a republican to vote for ROn in the primary. it's very unjust. we should be able to vote for whoever we wish. it needs to be changed. Hey there kokeshififi; since no one else seemed to really want to answer your question I though I would. Basically before a presidential election the two major politcal parties hold elections called "primaries" among their registered voters to determine who they will nominate to run as president in the general election (where everyone votes between the nominees from the two parties). A straw poll is basically an unofficial practice vote purely to gauge public interest before the real primary.
Regardless of the early primaries, we must keep EDUCATING and MULTIPLYING, for by May, we can reach all delegates to understand and support Ron Paul for President. Non-stop share Ron Paul with everyone, patiently and kindly. It takes time and we have enough to be slow and steady and win this race! Go Team Paul!

hello, most americans do not understand this process ourselves. we wish it was simple but it is really corrupt and comples. we cannot vote for Ron Paul because most of us are independents or not registered republicans because we are sick of the republican party. in most states (all are different) you need to be registered as a republican to vote for ROn in the primary. it's very unjust. we should be able to vote for whoever we wish. it needs to be changed. I'd also like to know.

Hey there kokeshififi; since no one else seemed to really want to answer your question I though I would. Basically before a presidential election the two major politcal parties hold elections called "primaries" among their registered voters to determine who they will nominate to run as president in the general election (where everyone votes between the nominees from the two parties). A straw poll is basically an unofficial practice vote purely to gauge public interest before the real primary.

I will add: Exit polls - which are the only scientifically accurate polls available and which are used regularly to detect election fraud in foreign countries- varied widely from the 2004 electronic results. In any other country in the world the 2004 election would have been determined to be a fraud. But I digress.... Believe what you want. This video brings true emotion to my soul as I DO believe Ron Paul will win and save our liberties in North America. My faith grows everyday.
