I'm a forgotten father who is sitting here crying while I watch your video. My kid's mother and I divorced over 25 years ago. Aout fifteen years ago they went on to college and new lives and now I would give anything to even get an e-mail from them. I know I have hurt them and not been the best of dad's, but they will never know how much I miss them and love them.

I pray that maybe one day I will get a video like this one or even a $0.99 card.

Wow. My dad was a workaholic who was on my ass whenever he was at home and totally crushed any artistic dreams I had as a kid with his "realist" attitudes. "A million starving artists out there and you think YOU are going to make a living at it?!" was his favorite phrase. I got past it and he woke up to how wrong he was in so many ways, and now, at 38, I get along with him pretty well and actually respect him. Amazing how much I've grown up to realize that he was right about though. Good vid.

Amazing video again! After so many years of not hearing from my dear old dad, Ive given up. He will have to be the one to make the effort. I got close, though. I found a telephone number for him and dialed in December. After I let it ring several times, the line connected and for a fleeting moment I thought we would finally speak, number not in service. I am moving on with my life. I cant find the solace you have in reconciliation. I am happy that you could find it with you dad, though.

Wow... this almost made me cry. I haven't been the best Dad to my kids but in the last few years, we've been growing closer and re-kindling our relationships. I've noticed that even though I haven't been around much for them they too have a lot of my personality traits. My Myspace quote says, "Who says you have to stop enjoying your kids just because they're grown up." I love the people my kids have grown up to be and I am incredibly proud of them, as I'm sure your father is of you.

yeah the only one. They like him... they like what they get out of him at least, but they never invest anything back into the relationship. Sucks to be them cause he is cool. Today I learnt that he played guitar in the streets for Trudeau on the year he got elected as prime minister. He said Trudeau did the twist to his music =) he LOVED my gifts! HE started putting stuff in the box right away and was all excited =) my aunt said I made his day =) It made mine too!

I'm glad things are working out with your Dad. Parents are not perfect and sometimes we make mistakes. Mine certainly did! And I'm sure I , as a parent, have as well. Sometimes its hard to forgive, but I've learned that forgiveness is not condoning behavior, or letting anyone off the hook. Forgiveness is taking the wrongs that were done to us, learning from them, becoming stronger and building a good life. Looks like you are on your way! Bravo! Much love as always:)
