  • congratulations! you now have an S2000!!

  • @Struggle2015 more like mr2

  • slow as shit

  • why would you rearwheel this car? why?

  • @CautionHotTVnews why not? the car has a short wheel base and making it a mid engine car will pretty much make it "pivot" around corners and fight all understeer that it would make.

  • @ajkulish makes since. Thanks!

  • @CautionHotTV yes sir..

  • 16 people like torque steer

  • Id like to see the motor in place. To each his own but I do like seeing car guy projects

  • i like how u have shit hagging off the bottom of ur car

  • @jassrokes dude get a life

  • @SupersonicDjJam would u ride with ur shit hanging underneath like that?

  • @jassrokes I like how you have shit hanging off your mandible.

  • what ever dude like I ve stated Ive had FWD, AWD and RWD, Imports and Domestics. most of my cars Ive ran them through the canyons and straights. So from personal experience I like AWD more for corners, FWD for straights and RWD for fun factor. I DRIFT so i love oversteer . Soon i'll have a project Drift Civic with a EH and if posted on hear I'd get the same complaints. I know the meening of Vice Versa, the other way round, the position being reversed, flipped around or Originally = inside out.

  • @DeMoeAurelius lol GTFO now I know you're full of crap. FWD for straights? Ever heard of TORQUE steer? Drift civic? DRIFT CIVIC? GTFO. You clearly don't know jack shit....go back to playing need for speed.

  • @jaeminseo I have actually seen a few RWD Civics used for drifting. Not saying the other dude isn't an idiot (seriously...FWD is for commuting), but a drift Civic isn't unheard of.

  • @Amras0407 Honda Tuning Mag featured a 97 EX RWD converted a couple of weeks ago. Also a 650 bhp AWD converted EJ

  • @Amras0407 I'm only familiar with the civette.I'm guessing the drift civics you're talking about are heavily modified, 1 off cars?

  • @DeMoeAurelius ur logic is wrong, fwd is counter productive for straight line speed... there is much more wrong with ur statement but ill just stop there

  • THE PREFARED driving machine of a Gaylord ,cock and ball strangler who likes to be anally punch fisted by his big fruity boyfriend sebastian :)

  • An s1000! lol.

  • your car's poop bro.

  • @GavinTimleck lmfao oh shit thats funny! :D

  • one shit driver

  • ummm idk if it was me or the film but did i see a long tube header under the front end???

  • I don't get why people are making Hondas RWD kind of defeating the purpose there

  • @RauL8604 I had Hondas 2 Integras, 2 Civics, 1 Prelude Si and a CRX Once I got My RX7, There is NO WAY I will ever get another front wheel drive car and be happy with it. To me thats goin backwards. FWD's under steering has no cheap cure, RWD cure for under steer is E-Brake or clutch kick depending on your RPM and countersteer. I've has a Subaru and that is just a whole nother aspect.

  • @DeMoeAurelius Understeer is a simple matter of car setup and driver skill. I used to drive a Probe GT with 66/34 weight distribution. The car was stock, and you countered understeer by braking late and using trail braking effectively to keep the car's weight on the wheels that needed the grip. You knew you were doing your job if the tail twitched under braking.

Handbraking (also available on a FWD) and clutch kicks are a good way to lose the tail altogether for drifting, not fight understeer.

  • @BlackOpSource Like I said not a cheap fix when you have to mod it...

  • @DeMoeAurelius I didn't say you had to modify the car. I said you had to learn to drive, buddy.

I drive a lowered 1.8 Miata with the SCCA racing package. I still have plenty of fun flogging my mother's Mazda 3 5MT 2.3 hatch around. So I'll repeat myself: The problem isn't the cars as much as it is YOU.

  • @BlackOpSource Like I first said when people was complaining about the Del Sol be converted to RWD being a waist. 80% of cars was FWD, Then going AWD then to my FC3S Vert which is now JDM S5 swapped. The difference in handling makes the difference. Once you go RWD from FWD things like understeer becomes a something you rather not deal with. Being a Miata driver you know compared to a Civic Suspension mods dont come cheap to make your cars handling as neutral as possible even with RWD.

  • @DeMoeAurelius FWD is no more an impediment to handling than the floppy chassis on a 'vert RX-7. And it's cheaper to throw nice sways on an Integra than it is to buy all kinds of chassis bracing for an RX-7. Not that you are likely to understand this, but stock for stock your Integras (if a GSR) were probably faster than your FC. And of course they can be made very fast for cheaper, as well.

As for understeer, sure, I don't care for it. But powersliding everywhere isn't good handling either.

  • @BlackOpSource Exactly I know of fast Hondas I've been in some. What I have been sayin and I'll say it again for you to get it. FWD is Great , RWD is Great and AWD is Great for what they do. IF you want to deal with the hang up of the cars down fall no matter what the drivetrain set up is go for it. What ever it is you what or drive go for it but DONT KNOCK IT, IF SOME ONE WANTS TO MAKE A FWD RWD OR AWD OR VISA VERA LET THEM. Piston swaps or Rotary do what you so and let people have there fun.

  • @DeMoeAurelius But you haven't said that at all. All you've talked about is front-driven cars being understeering boats that have to be modified to handle well at all. You've displayed complete ignorance of chassis design and vehicle dynamics with your boasting about an RX-7's handling when it's got no top and claims that kicking clutches and pulling handbrakes are a good way to cure understeer. You've also displayed ignorance of the Latin phrase "vise versa", both misspelling and misusing it.

  • @DeMoeAurelius Good suspension, stiff tires and a rear sway bar will do wonders. We had oversteer problems with our civic dx while auto-xing. I guess 900lb springs will do that haha

  • @96ej Like I said not a cheap fix when you have to mod it...

  • I can't figure out why they didn't just make the Del Sol mid engine to start with. How many god forsaken FWD Civics do they need? The hatch, two door, four door, then you have the Accords etc., etc. They finally decided to make a RWD honda only after making the NSX and then stuck an unrealistic price tag on it?!! Oh, that's right, you pay for the name (Acura). I'm so happy to be an MR2 guy, Honda seems to have it's head up it's ass.

  • @TheOmegaeyes well, they're all front wheel drive because they're all CIVICS. They're all the same car, built on the same platform. Ford Escorts came in 2-door, 4-door, wagons and they're all FWD because they're all the same car.

Oh, and about the NSX, it isn't intended to compete with MR2s. It's intended to compete with Porsches and Ferrari, which it was actually faster than when it was released. That's why it cost $62,000. The NSX's handling was the benchmark for the design of the Mclaren F1

  • @CPUOverclocker64 I agree with most of what you've said although "good handling" shouldn't always reflect a rigid price tag concerning the NSX, many will and have agreed they were over priced. As far as the mr2, it's a perfect example of a car with fantastic handling without a super car price tag. The 2nd and 3rd gen sw20 is compatable with many Porsches and cars in the higher echelon of performance vehicles. Hell the Lotus Elise/Exige is in the same category and sports a Toyota drivetrain.

  • its a slow type r duh...

  • what song is that???

  • how did he made that ?

4x4 from Honda Shuttle swaaped ???

  • IS THIS REALLY A BACK WHEEL DRIVE..I THOUGHT I SAW IT FISH TAIL..BUT NOT SURE

  • The shop built the car. Sold it to a guy. I then traded the guy my h22 accord for it. I then sold it to some kid in Southern IL. Had ITBs I sold them & put on a skunk2 IM. Uhh just look on honda-tech I'm 94sisol & you will see where I traded for it more than likely. Haven't been on there in years except to sell cars.

  • I owned this car. H22 was in the rear. Built by a place in Michigan, can't remember the name. Sold it to a guy in Southern IL. Who gives a fuck about the wing. It's a rwd converted del sol.

  • @killrdude7 you had all this work done and dont remember the shops name? hard to believe this was your car, unless you bought somebody else's project.

  • its a stock wing wing for a ek coupe. still gay wing

  • thats an oem integra type r wing. if you dont know your shit quit talking mother fuckers. god i hate people who think they know about cars. SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • @turbosol1995 yea but it dont look good on the sol, it's an INTEGRA type-r wing...

  • that's not rwd hes just holding the e brake because look at the front tire's sliding back and forth

  • can someone tell me whats that hanging down at the bottom?? :)

  • can someone tell me whats that hanging down at the bottom?? :)

  • @Em12k looks to me like a broken plastic engine skid plate

  • is it faster with Rear wheel drive or is it the same?

  • @Yourcoolkid1 it gets you laid faster...

  • @Yourcoolkid1 RWD always looses more hp and tq to the drive train.. the only down fall..

Why does everyone think all spoilers or wings as some people call them are gay??? They are for downforce. Yea the big ones on cars that are ugly and serve no purpose are gay as fuck but... come on..

  • @dirtbikemike69

Not exactly, Cars with FR layout losing more power than cars with MR layout.

Some cars have FMR layout like Lexus LF-A.

  • @Yourcoolkid1 its actually slower its easier for a motor to pull a car than push it....

  • @keepinmyhustle thats what i always thought

  • @cotequadsport its prooven, you can just do many different forms of racing with rear wheel drive cars drag, drift, rally, and track with front all you can really do is drag and track ideal for raly is all wheel but rear is better than front wheel and you obviously cant drift with front wheel drive.

  • wow, very fast

  • it looks pretty nyc wif the itr spoiler wing

  • @bigdaddylovestori if it was a lady, it would be beautiful, and i would.

  • they should have made the del sols rear wheel drive from the factory. That would have saved it but the s2k started what the del sols left off wit

  • or you could just buy an mr2...

  • @triggeritasca fuck a mr2

  • FAGGOTS!

  • H22A? Would that even fit in the engine bay? I've heard of swapping out to a B16, but that's about the same size as the D16. I like my D16 though.

  • nice....but just a thought...did you had to put the engine in the back (trunk), since the engine is pretty big, or did you had to get rear axles for it???

  • Google either "Del Sol Gemini Project" or "Top Fuel Del Sol" if you want to see an MR Del Sol. I think this guy has an FR setup but I would love to know what drivetrain he used.

  • Comment removed

  • fukin idiot an h22 is the engine...... 2.2L Vtec

  • Comment removed

  • damn kid, you really must be fucking retarted to have a little typing rage like that... im sure its nice to get out your frustration of getting no pussy ever at all you faggot. get the fuck off youtube honda vids if you dont know what a h22 is lol.... you're a fucking joke

  • Comment removed

  • thats not a curb stomp, you stomp someones head on a curb you dumb little faggot. Even though it says that in the word "curb stomp" you STILL fuck it up saying you'll stomp my head on the sidewalk. fuckin eskimo saucer

  • Comment removed

  • I JUST WANT TO KILL PPL LKE YOU

  • really dude google has most of the answers. Freak kids

  • Comment removed

  • come get me bitch

  • Comment removed

  • @Lukeschedel Normally it is Front wheel drive.

  • Comment removed

  • nice car! lovin the doom beats too lol

  • how they do it? hmmmm

  • @joenlaw s2k tranny

  • @benanddavidproduct lol its a rear engine tho, s2k tranny would mean the engine is infront.

  • weak shit

  • thats pretty cool but seems like a waste if you werent planning on drifting it

  • @disanthropunk and why is that? Its faster in the 1/4 now, because its rwd.

  • @DSMDriver69 lol converting from FWD to RWD doesn't make it any faster in the 1/4 mile. the heavier part of the car is the front so technically it would put more weight on the front driving tires to give it a bigger contact patch i.e. more grip.

  • @heterosapien69 yes it does. When a car is launched on the 1/4 mile most of the weight is thrown to the rear of car, thus giving it more traction.

  • @DSMDriver69 oh didn't think about that.

  • wow has the same detail as Inline X racing do. buts its not a del sol its a Honda Prelude instead. The inline x racing honda prelude was at HIM night last year in 3 states.(unknown which one)

  • c pourri ton affaire criss sa lavance pas un sir passe en avant de dsa bin trop easy!!!! pouhahahah

  • been driving my Sol for a year now, funnest little gokart i've ever owned XD

  • would be a nice sol with out that big ass POS on the trunk

  • @702LTR450 It's useful now since the car is RWD haha.

  • @702LTR450 your so dumb it hurts...

  • @luke26126 *you're...speaking of iron knee

  • It's not a front wheel drive care any more, so it is a must that it have a spoiler.

  • it's not rear engine it's mid engine. a rear engine is like a porsche that has the rear seats and the engine sits behind that

  • sorry, I said that incorrectly. It's a mid engine car because the engine is in front of the transaxle, in relation to the front of a car. if it was behind the transaxle like a porsche then it would be a rear engine. sorry, just wanted to clarify before I got rained on with shit

  • @candle2k lol.

  • @driftboy33 haha, you know if I hadn't corrected it there would've been flaming shit all on this vid

  • @candle2k yea lol. thats stupid but its truee. good save.

  • @driftboy33 yeah, it's a pretty cool del sol tho, huh?

  • @candle2k yea looks koo. excepd 4 that spoiler. its not 2 big but i think del sols look cleaner with out them. u got a honda?

  • @driftboy33 nah, I have a 97 neon sport, 5 speed, 2 door, DOHC engine, it's alright, I've also got 2 truck, 65 chevy c20 and a 69 chevy c10

  • You guys know anyone whose selling a del sol? My boyfriend blew the motor lol

  • i hav 1 4 sale

  • i sense this car having problems... lots of problems... often

  • Love the car, doesn't look half assed. btw love the paint, you can't go wrong with flat black

  • @frankisss it all about the k series, the best fwd motor honda has ever made. k20z3 FTW!!!!!!

  • yes i agree with you k series are also great i didn't say the k series aren't great. the k series are the future for honda tuners after the b series, and compared to the h series the k is far better than the h. the h is alright but still not a fav for B and K enthusiast. K is the future and B is the legend and h22a ???????????

  • agreed lol

  • The H22 was a great motor. That doesn't mean I'm switching out my LS/VTEC for one any time soon though. I love my B series.

  • Now go put another one under the bonnet and run twin engine / 4wd :D

  • Great idea for a custom build! I love the H22A1 in my 95 Lude. I also really love the Del Sols. Considering the cost and the effort, however, if I wanted a tiny little high power rear wheel drive car I would probably build a Cobra kit myself. Sunbeams are another very small rear wheel drive car into which you can stuff a very powerful V8. Hey I love my H22A1 but I am ready to have a big rumbling v8 again, this time a small, well-handling little racer would be a good platform for it.

  • How much did that cost to change into rear wheel drive?

  • Too much for it to be worth it. Might as well just buy a s2000 and turbo it instead.

  • You're an idiot.

Spend at LEAST $15k on a used s2000, another $5k for the turbo and tune. That's already $20k

If you have the del sol-free. If you don't, you can buy one in prime condition for $3k. Spend $3-4k on the motor, tune, and build, since it's NA, and then maybe $1k for fabbing parts.

I think I'll go with the Slo.

  • its a H22, which runs about 4-6k depending who you snag it from. build is not cheap. the fact that you don't even mention parts shows how dumb you are. and I don't mean cheap ass ebay wanna be parts, I mean real deal parts that last forever with warranty.

2000 s2k for 9k nothing wrong with it, a friend bought it. 5k for a turbo? who do you shop from? I can snag a used turbo for under 1k and rebuild it for less then 500 and then get all the other parts for another 2k. That's only 12500.

  • Jesus christ are you serious? 4-6k?! We have kids THROWING their H-series away down here. And yes I was talking about the build, new internals, the works. On our local forums you can get a built H22 for under 2k or so...

As for the turbo setup, I'm not talking ebay cheap shit. You've got at least 2000 on a GOOD turbo kit, along with the tune, which adds a few extra hundred.

  • The s2k prices I picked up on our local CL and KBB. The fact that "your friend bought it" doesn't mean shit.

Not a retard, just from different parts of the country. Regardless, my friend. I'll go with the Slo.

  • @bastec666 your an idiot fuck off till you know what your talking about

  • yeah, i know nothing......

  • $7 total

  • WOW, this car can accelerate and brake...

I've just seen a master of the STRAIGHT

  • what kind of spoiler is that

  • stock

  • your a dumb ass its not a stock wing

  • @iceman77781 stock civic si wing

  • @iceman77781

Looks like a ITR wing to me. And last time I check those are made by Honda.

  • its an SI wing off a 99-2000 civic

  • it looks like a type r integra wing to me

  • its a stock wing u fuckin moron...

  • 0:37

Is that his cold air intake that's like an inch off the ground? O.o

  • I hope not, but I think so...

  • u can tell its RWD...because it spins from the back.

  • i imagine it feels similar to an MR2?

  • i really dont think so

  • i really cant tell if it is RWD but if it is MR, y wouldnt it??

  • an mr2 is a mid engine rwd car. the del sol is a front engine fwd car. even if they did convert it to rwd it still wouldnt handle like an mr2 since the weight is dispersed differently and the fact that the del sol wasnt designed for rwd.

  • o ya forgot its MR,, that was a huge DUH

  • i don't see why the guy couldn't show us a long burnout or at least some donuts to prove that it's rwd. I'm sure it's fwd

  • 1. watch the launch. Its definetly rwd. 2. With 220hp, even in a 2,000+lb car with rwd, it wont spin much... so argue with yourself. Who cares what your sure about... your a moron

  • stfu bitch

  • go to 0:58 seconds. it goes sideways a little on the launch

  • at 1:09 you can tell its rear wheel. I was wrong. my bad

  • shif508 u a god damn idiot its clearly rear wheel

  • i already said i was wrong u dumb bitch. go suck a cock.

  • go get tea bagged bitch

  • pt exactly..

  • I think that is an old LoveFab project car. I hope it is, my boss built it 5 or 6 years ago. Good to see it on the road again. You get the brakes worked out?

  • heh this thing might actually be fwd... i thought it was rear too.. until i noticed when he does the burnout at 1:08 his front wheels kick side ways and all ove the place rather the his rear wheels... if u look closly his rear wheels go pretty much straight... i think he may have his e brake jammed.. ive seen locals do stupid shit with there e brake like that too

  • that del sol is sick! fabricating that must have been a bitch. relocated powertrain to the rear? Im assuming that was the most logical path if you stuck with honda engine/transaxle. unless you fabricated the engine bay to fit an s2000 powertrain, which still makes it sick

  • Probably a Mid engine setup.... with that you can use the stock engine & transaxle! screw all this FWD ricer crap... make your honda RWD & your good to go!

  • "just because the tailpipe is in the front" UM,,,,, thats piping for the intercooler... not the exhaust

heres the link to the build i followed this project since day 1.. ok maybe day 2 XD

  • Comment removed

  • is it a Mid-engine RWD.thats the only possible way unless he did lots of fabricating to have it RWD

  • i saw this del sol a few years ago on honda tech with a turbo h22 motor in the back. he showed a step by step look on the project. its a RWD. go check it out

  • I mean come on the first launch is proof enough!! the ass comes out before the car even starts moving.

  • You can tell its rwd from all the launch's he did who ever says its fwd need to get their eyes check dumb ass's

  • lol it is not fwd, u can see at 1:08 that the spot in the road, the front wheels are in front of that spot, the skid mark doesnt exceed it, rwd end of story, anyone that thinks its fwd is a dumbass

  • NO ITS NOT FWD DICK HEAD!!!!!

  • yes it is u fukin wanker. shut ur fukn mouf u dnt no shit go bak 2 putn ur thumb up ur asshole n keep it there koz ur full of shit!!!!!!!!!!!
