I'm looking forward for someone to tell me their experiences regarding surfing the web and watching movies, is the screen big enought, hows the sound, and hows the experience on surfing the web, does it support IM, 'typing' in the psp is good enought... i'm between a psp and an n800/n810 ;)

well the psp's fine for watching movies. Nice big screen, a bit reflective if the sun's up though, and there's not too many films on UMD disks so you'll have to put them on memory cards.

The web browser is slow, and hardly ever renders pages correctly. It does let you have 3 tabs open, but don't expect to load websites more intensive than google or it will complain about not having enough memory. In terms of IM, it does support it if you go on ebuddy. Typing is very, very slow.

If all you care about is internet I would go with a Nokia N800, N810, or Asus A626 or better than those (but also more expensive) an Archos 605. They are all a little bit more expensive than a psp but as far as internet and practical functionality, definately where you should be looking. HP and Dell have similar PDAs but much more expensive... but if you don't care about games, PDA is definately a better choice than PSP.

And many PDAs and similar devices have equal and greater resolution than the psp... if you were interested in incredible games, awesome internet browsing, and phenomenal media and business applications, than the most acceptable option is an Ultra Mobile PC, like the OQO Model 02... but I don't have $1600 - $2100 to play with right now, and most people don't seem to...
