I've heard some game controllers and devices can cause crashes. If you're using any on your computer, try disabling them through device manager. Or it could just be that your specs aren't high enough and you need to lower the graphics settings, and if you have it on, disable vertical sync.

@RieblTyler The marker was the one and only thing actually preventing the outbreak, but once they removed it then the creature in the planets core was no longer contained or limited by the marker's strange power.

You get to see alot of about this in the first Dead Space towards the end.

@RieblTyler a scientist found the alien spore, and got dead skin cells in it, which caused it to grow into an infection and start the outbreak by transforming people, the marker has the ability to break the telekenetic power of the necromorph hive mind (meaning when it's in the pedistal, all necromorphs will just be motionless shells) but it was removed, and the hive mind wants it destroyed cuz its a threat to it, aswell as humans are threats so it kills them

On a side note to everyone who plats the demo, did anyone feel right at home when they started playing? It felt like I just put down the controller for Dead Space 1. I'm glad that the producers stuck to their roots, it still feels familiar an that's what I love. If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT.

I'll continue to play it and knowing that I am scared/startled at some parts makes me know I'm getting my moneys worth. Wish more survival-horror games were out this generation.
