Yeah this one and one other event is near impossible yet, most are doable in a few tries... Bad balancing overall when it comes to dificulty. I rented it, enjoyed it, time to move on. Dirt 2 was more fun though, funner AI, and close races.

@xSUPERxGTx i give it a try, the last decent rally game i played was colin mcrae 2.0, the reviews on this one were very good, but honestly for me it was dissapointing, well is going drawer until get my attention again, and this drift "thing" is ridicolus, the others ones are so EASY! why this one should be so hard? well, even on dirt 2 I played one stage and the you control much better the drift of the car, on this one if you do the donut & spin tutorial u notice that is something else there :s

Thanks for the awesome video. This helped a ton. I was already playing with a manual gearbox and keeping it in 2nd gear but my lines and approach were way off. Took about an hour to go from barely getting bronze to nailing it with 145,500

Thanks for the video and your suggestions. What made it click for me was holding down the throttle the whole time and steering the drift to control it. I was trying to steer with the throttle and was getting no where. After 5 mins I got the hang of it and went from bronze to nearly golding it. Few more hours practice and I'll plat it as I just need to keep the rythm going, so far I can do about 3-4 circuits without stuffing up. Many thanks again, this was doing my head in lol

@Decerto78 Good to hear. Yes, the car doesnt really have enough speed to allow you to let go of the throttle. Keep practising and you will get a platinum eventually!

@xSUPERxGTx It's helped with the drift showcases as well, I can keep the drift through multiple corners now where before I used to lose the drift on the change of direction. I can also do donuts now without trickster so I feel real baddass now lol

@HYDR4Killerr Try braking and using gas. when your back end is kicking out to much tap the brake again and power it up with gas. Just practice practice practice. I dont use the handbrake so often just brake and revving engine with gas keep taping

first off your spelling practice wrong <- correct spelling, second off locking your car in 60 mph in second gear is way easier and i have seen 75% saying its easier to do with manual not automatic, you must have a lead foot, or just an moronic mind.

You probably played most of your races in 100% assists on. I use a steering wheel, you use a keyboard and a mouse. wow? That don't even have a rumble feature, epic fail.

@bluecat68 Hmmm, I think manual is a lot easier. In auto it changes gear exactly when you dont want it to not to mention you dont really need to change gear. But hey 159k on auto is good!

The only way you can do this is in manual i played the game from the start in manual and its 100% easier specially me useing the force feedback wheel i kind of have to lol.... You can't do this in automatic cause when your car gears up a ratio it will cause you to spin more frequently and loose your drift maintaining speed to get 4000+ per goal line........ And

@kirill765 Its quite simple actually in terms of what you need to press. USE MANUAL. Shift into second gear and leave it in there for the entire run. Now just accelerate up to about 55-60mph before each corner, tap handbrake (whatever button you have it as, I set it to A) to start the drift and hold down throttle all the way down. Basically, whenever you're drifting throttle should always be pressed down completely and dont let go.) Now its a job of using the left stick to steer the car

what do you have magic thumbs or what? you held 41-44mph throughout the entire drift which means an extremely consistent angle on the car. 1 question... how in the holy hell did you manage that? i only ask because well... it's obviously the key to a controlled drift.. i've done all I can to maintain a constant speed so the drift is smooth all the way around the bend. I'm ready to punch a baby...

@XxRebelRaiderxX I think manual gears is the key if youre not already using it. Ive described in the description why it helps but basically by using manual, you can hold the car in second gear and hold the thottle all the way down. All you have to do then is change the car angle with the left stick. If youre drifting too far out, steer in and if youre drifting too close to inside, steer out. hope this helps.

Thank You. Switching to manual was what I needed. I played for about an hour and the best I could do was around 120,000 to 130,000. Only took about four tries with manual. The first three were getting used to shifting.

@doomknight1 Ditto. Cant seem to hold the drift, either go to far and spin or end up driving in a straight line. I sometimes manage to get one end but when I try to switch in the middle I just end up driving straight through them in a non-drifting manner.
