@nepomusik Might I point out the 3DS remake isn't as good? Sure the game is there, but the graphics are sort of...not right. Plus the voice acting isn't that typical star fox 'cheesy' that some of us like. Get the N64 version, you'd be patting yourself on the back later.

The Super Smash Bros games now have me seriously considering trying the Star Fox series. The characters seem really cool, and from what I've read on the trophies you collect, they sound fun.

@dragonsbreath223 And I heard somewhere that at least some of the games were done by Rare when they were with Nintendo. If that's true, it makes me all the more interested, as I've always loved the Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong games. Anyway, I certainly plan to try the series. In the masterpieces section in BRAWL, I played the demo for STAR FOX 64, and I was really enjoying it until my three minutes ended, then I wasn't happy. lol Definitely need to try it.

Definitely start with 64. It's basically a reboot of the Super Nintendo Star Fox in terms of scenario and story continuity. The bosses and level design do differ so still give it a try. Lower your expectations for the sequels though. They're all outsourced to different studios and similarly to what happened to Sonic, they raped the universe to varying degrees.

Know that Adventures started out completely unrelated to Star Fox, Assault is passable, and Command really sucks.
