  • this sounds like a lounge cover of the song.

  • This is really good Joe! Keep playing. I hope to see you in concert soon!

  • In as much as the harmonic brevity assails, why must the conjecture of so few cost as mighty..For isn't the the motif of all so given that the encriptycal envelopment afforded so freely?

  • what the fuck?

  • hey helmbarn, heres something EVERYONE can understand, GO FUCK YOURSELF

  • @TheRosettaStoned LOL, that is exactly what I was thinking. He must have read that somewhere.

  • mitico Joe Jackson!!!!

  • Je n'ai pas mis 5 étoiles car le son n'est pas top, mais JOE les mérites amplement pour sa carrière artistique.

    TECKMASSE

  • i ve just red the joe jackson book cure for gravity and i recommend it to every fan.

  • Sta versione di Stepping Out spacca di brutto

    Joe sei un Dioooooooo!!!!!!!!

  • God bless San Diego-82&83 Great God damn great mermories for a hick from East Tennessee !

  • He is awesome

  • Great performer!!!

  • Re the bass comments - Graeme Maybey is the bass player and plays a five (5) string bass guitar... watching Maybey if a treat in itself... so he delivers not only a bass beat, but can supplement rhythm... in this instance, for a three piece band, they put out a big sound...

Saw that show recently as part of Joe's 2008 Australian Tour (May)...

I'm always spellbound when I actually see him perform...

Totally entertaining and absorbing... quite truly he's a musician's musician...

  • annoying bass playing

  • You`re right. I love Joe Jackson but that bass has got to slow down and not up-stage the master.

  • nice...but it needs Cowbells!!! can u feel it

  • I'm going to see him in Tel-Aviv next week and I can't WAIT!!

  • i once told/aviv and ...

  • lol....this reminds me of the scene in Spinal Tap, where they are at the amusement park and they decide to to a "free form" jazz number...

  • "you are witnessing the rebirth"......

  • "hope you enjoy our new direction"

  • On piano....Joe Jackson....he wrote this...

  • he should have done this version in D minor...the saddest of all keys

  • everyone would instantly start weeping

  • hah, F# is arguably the happiest

  • H is the wierdest

  • so says eddie van halen...and he should know!!

  • Thanks, bluevein123. Man, I love this song.

  • I saw him play live 4 days ago up in Dublin, he was fantastic, luved the show..he really was brill live!!

  • is he really that old now.dang he looks so old.

  • Had his first hit 30 years ago. What'd you expect?

  • The new album is REALLY great. His best in years. It blows away his past 4 or 5 albums easily. A return to form.

  • It is indeed - a vintage JJ. He played almost all of the songs from it on this tour.

  • @oranjuly That's only because oyu didn't understand the other "4 or 5" albums. Which ones are you referring to? Heaven and Hell? F'n masterpiece. Symphony #1? Night Music. This man is INCAPABLE of writing anything but masterpieces. It's ridiculous that he is playing clubs with a few hundred people in them. He is a true musical genius. I know.

  • @slickvguy "but the critics all confused him with the great elvis costello"

  • DID HE START ON THE 1? iT SEEMED OFF BEAT.

  • I don't think so,the drummer is certainly not helping and the bass player is also jazzing the beat.

  • Drummer is f-ing up the beat - entertaining himslef - like drummers do...

  • With all due respect to Joe Jackson, it sounded to me like the drummer was right on time and Joe was a little behind the beat. But what the hell, it's Joe's song so he can start singing whenever the hell he wants to. And yes, we drummers like to entertain ourselves from time to time :-).

  • Sounds pretty funky....more jazzy less pop.

  • This was the first Joe Jackson song I liked and I still love it. Such a great groove. It always makes me feel good listening to it.

  • Hey, thanks for the video. Picture quality wasn't great - (cellphone)? but that can't stop a great voice!

  • Thanks, yeh it was just a crappy little digicam. The show did get filmed though! I went with only a vague knowledge of JJ's back catalogue and came out a complete convert.

  • From what I've heard live, this new album is going to be fantastic and catchy as hell (although which album hasn't been, in my opinion). I'm REALLY glad to see them doing 'Steppin' Out' with the whole band again - aside from the Night and Day II tour, which medley'd it with 'Stay', it hasn't been done full band style since the mid to late eighties. I love Joe playing by himself, but it's good to see the set list switched up a little.

  • listening to his album at the minute in the car, some great tracks on it.his songs stand the test of time in my opinion.

  • Thanks for the video! Did you all know that Squeeze, from the same genre and era, is going to be touring North America in the Summer of 2007?

  • Fantastic concert. I filmed some songs of his new album, but I can't get it uploaded on youtube. Too big. Can't wait for the new album to come.

  • Whenever I get depressed I listen to this song and I'm happy again hehehe

  • Absofuckinglutely beautiful . . . . . . Thanks for putting this up. I Love the YouTube.

  • was this at manchester acadamy?

  • Please post the original videoclip of this song if you can! I still could found it here a couple of days ago, and it made me upset, that it has disappeared. :(

Unfortunately, in such quality I can't enjoy this music, although this song is great and its original clip is awesome too.

  • dude this is tight, the mist across the window hides the light. damn you are lucky to have been there

  • Thanks! Joe's a legend... Sorry about the sound, I recorded it with my little Casio digital camera - any suggestions, gadget-wise?

  • Thanks for sharing...

Great song, interesting version...the camera's audio is awful, however...,,,was this video shot on a cell phone?

Thanks for posting-Joe is a genius...

  • la wea demacrante pobre viejo que entienda que su epoca a paso....... what idiot, old men you era is past
