I'm not able to freeze tracks because of routing to other instruments (sidechain compression for the most part) Is there a way around this, or do I need to just take off all the effects and put them back on the audio after?
wow thanks!!! I really need to start using Racks more often...i never realized just how many different instances you really need to make a sound like that
I do a similar thing in Pro Tools. Since Pro tools is much less forgiving for maxing your CPU, I had to very quickly adopt this method. There isn't a "freeze track" option, but you just record the section via bus to an audio track. Repeat this process for all your midi tracks and bam, more CPU. I also enjoy being able to arrange in audio wave forms, it's much easier I feel.
Sick vid man, never knew about this. You just got yourself another subscriber. You are a good teacher you should make some vids on some wobbles in massive.
not to mention just duplicating until you get the levels feeling right, even if it cuts out, i had always just done the hard left and hard right and center...
haha ive had my cpu go up to 600% before i finally got a new computer to handle my projects
great vids!
