  • one of only 5 players to score 2800 points in a season,he led the league in scoring three straight years when kareem was in his prime.his 2831 points in 74-75 has been exceded by only three players.kobe bryant (2832 in 05-06) michael jordan twice (2868 in 87-88 and 3041 in 86-87) and four times by wilt chamberlain (2948 in 63-64,3033 in 60-61,3586 in 62-63 and 4029 in 61-62)

  • It's because Bill Walton made the 50 greatest list instead of McAdoo. All of the credit Walton got was based on his college career at UCLA. He was never the star McAdoo was in the NBA due to his injuries and absence from games to go to Grateful Dead concerts and take hits of acid!

  • @cln78md66

Bill Walton was so formative and important for the league like Bill Cartwright or Horace Grant. I don't understand why this guy is in the Hall of Fame. The statistics say that Bill Walton was a mediocre player, nothing else.

  • @dralger walton did n't have lenght in his career due to injuries..another hof who did n't play much years was reed!that does n't mean were n't both great players in their prime.

walton had about 19p.14reb.5as.3bl. in his prime, that was unfortunately for 3years but manage to lead blazers in their only champ!walton was one of the best all-around centers ever and was great defender to!so it's stupid to compare him with grant or cartwright,it's obvious u are young and did n't watch him in his prime

  • How did he not make the NBA's 50 greatest? 1974-75 he averaged 34pts 14rb & 2blk that same season in the playoffs he damn near avg. 40pts. rookie of the year in 1973 & two years later he won MVP and won 2 championships.

  • Bob even played for the Celtics but it for just 20 games in the 1978-1979 NBA season. Bob could shoot his ass off!

  • Mac can doo was special i always was him when i played ball... He was the best

  • I would have loved to see these guys today try and handle Bob...hahahahahaha

  • Many don't know what a great scorer McAdoo was. He led the league in scoring for consecutive years. He was a scoring machine.

  • Kevin Durant is a very similar to McAdoo

  • dam hopes james mcadoo gona b this gud!

  • Bob Mcadoo, held three nba scoring titles. 2 time champion with the Los Angeles Lakers. Played back in the day when big men had skills and ruled the league. Great great player. One of the best big men ever.

  • Bob McAdoo was 6'9" 210 pounds, and fast for a PF/C. His speed, and shooting ability made him sort of mismatch against traditional big men. He had a small forward's body though, even a large shoot guard's body. He was a better shooter than even a small forward like Lamar Odom. Both similar size. Odom 6'10 213, McAdoo 6'9" 210, but McAdoo was a little faster I think.

  • one of the most under-appreciated players ever. he wasn't picked in the NBA's 50 greatest players despite leading the league in scoring and its MVP in 1975. you are the man!

  • why the hell did mcadoo have to wait 14 years to get into the hall of fame?

  • @MrNiggle123 he last played pro bball in 1993 and got inducted in 2000. that's 7 years not 14

  • Maaaan, I remember Big Mac lighting up the great Celtics team for about 50 pts a game over 2 seasons back in the 70s, and this was BEFORE THE 3 PT SHOT...He had the most unbelievable range for a guy 6-10, he wd have been absolutely devastating w/the 3 pt shot!

That was a great Buffalo team, the Celtics always beat them but they were tough!

  • Watching this makes me peeved because packs of populated places full of peoples push their plentiful pennies and pay protruding paychecks to players to perform in packed playhouses for perennial playoffs, thus the lakers could afford what buffalo couldn't, really gets me ya know. Bob McAdoo is a Buffalo Brave, one of the sweetest NBA teams to ever exist, now they are the Clippers.

  • for those of you that don't know, mcadoo played for the buffalo braves(l.a. clippers) of the 1970's!!!!

  • Bob McAdoo has been an assistant coach for the Heat for several years. He regularly hustles the players out of money in shooting contests lol....

  • McAdoo is probably the most overlooked Tar Heel in UNC's pro history.Mike,Worthy and Vince get most of the credit, but McAdoo was the first real NBA star for the Tar Heels.Scoring titles,MVP,Championships, the resume is incredible.McAdoo was a bad man.

  • Too big for Swingman & too athletic for Big Men. Almost impossible to defend.

  • The ORIGINAL "Black Mamba!" Kobe should have known better than to steal McAdoo's nickname! Aye carumba!

  • I wish I could have seen him play, he looked amazing. I love using him on 2K9 though.

  • My last name is mcadoo. :D

  • doo doo mcadoo!

    doo doo mcadoo!

    forza milano!

  • I remember him playing in Italy, in Milan, at the end of his career.

He would still fight for the ball like he was a rookie.

    Great man.

  • As I truly reflect back this guy was truly one the the greatest offensive weapons ever! I think he won three back to back scoring titles. Not exactly sure, but always in top two or three in scoring during his Buffalo days.

  • he won three strait scoring titles, from 73-74, 74-75 and 75-76...what made him an interesting player was that he was the first real perimeter scoring big man... consider this too, during his best years there was no 3 point line... imagine how many more points he would have scored had their been...

  • Yeah, your truly right. I remember many of those epic 40 point play off battles he had back in the early 70's with Elvin Hayes, the Big E. I personally think he was one of great forgotten superstars in the history of the game.

  • Let's Go Buffalo!

  • Dooooooooo

  • Man I Missed watching Bob McAdoo play ball, he was awesome, when he got hot forget it, he was'nt missing anything!

  • weird but deadly shot, he released it so high, with those loonng arms, it was impossible to block, plus he was a great leaper - really one of the great pure scorers ever, avg 34.5 ppg once! fun to watch, I remember him well..

  • McAdoo, McAdoo, McAdoo!!!

  • I'm from Greensboro, N.C., and lived down the street from McAdoo, and it's because of him that I'm a UNC tarheel fan, but I've always been a bob Mcadoo fan,to me, he was the best, and my all time favorite player

  • Most underrestimated player ever.

    Thx for uploading.

  • @SSJ4Brolyisthebest underated

  • @SSJ4Brolyisthebest he played for some horrible teams, which of course was not his fault. By the time he joined the Lakers, Magic had become the main attraction. Also Bob was not known for playing D. He didn't want to risk getting into foul trouble where he'd stay on the bench and not score. Those two reasons kept him off the 50 Greatest list, i believe.

  • A well well deserved spot in the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame.
