  • 天皇陛下万歳!!!

  • Japnese still believes the WWII was a holy war and they had done nothing wrong in China, Korea and other parts of Asia. The idea is systemically induced through various Government policies and extreme right wing groups. At least Germans repent. Shameless race, those Japanese.

  • @blackbecks

Back that shit up with evidence, racist. NOW. A comment like that is not going to sit there unopposed.

  • @SocialistCatgirl you are a fine example, a product of japanese extreme right wing. education, cheers. At least Germans have a decency trying not to repeat their past. Japanese, otherwise, think WW2 as their height of national power, glory days. and you should know the definition of racist, ignorant fool.

  • @blackbecks

"At least Germans repent. Shameless race, those Japanese."

Hmm? What was that about not knowing the definition of racist? Didn't quite HEAR you over all the STUPID in the room...

    "education, cheers."

Evidence, cheers. Stop with the fucking cop-outs and defend your position, coward. As you've made the affirmative claim, the burden of proof is on YOU, not me. YOU defend your position, don't expect ME to do it for you.

  • @blackbecks and just how many japanise people do you know? 40 milion or somthing? Japan is a great country because it unlike any other country in Asia did not become a dominion of the west or surender to its influence and became a power it its own right, all the actions the japanise empire did during its empire years where actions the west did too many times to count, how dare you critise japan when all it has done was copy the western example

  • @alonmerlin

Disregard that imbecile. He can't and won't defend the position he has taken (as well he shouldn't, seeing as it is an indefensible position). Did you see MY interaction with him?

That's the measure of the man, a worthless coward who hits and runs in a debate rather than standing and fighting with honor. He'll provide no evidence for his claims, no sources. If you ask for evidence, he'll simply tell you to "look it up". The final bastion of a fool who knows not of what he speaks.

  • @alonmerlin

That said, I do take issue with your interpretation of Japanese history. I would argue that Japan DID in fact yield to the influence of the West, though rather than through direct means (Colonialism) they did so through voluntary Westernization.

Think about it: the Japanese Empire built its political foundations upon Fascism, a Western development. Their emphasis on technological advancement is a textbook case of Westernization, down to the copy/pasted battleship designs.

  • @SocialistCatgirl i agree with that and i am afraid the youtube word limit didn't allow me to explain my point in detail

what i ment is that Japan retaind its Culture and no western influence was actualy forced on it (untill the american Ocupation) Japan did not allow the Christian Religon to distroy its culture like it has done to so many cultures allover the wolrd.

nor did it become a province of the british, russian or french empires as they probebly intended

  • @alonmerlin

I'm not fully convinced that a country can begin to take in the political structures and technology of those with radically different cultures and not be altered. For example, the concept of keeping accurate time wasn't really practical until train lines began to run. You just needed a general idea of when to do something (sunrise, midday, sunset, midnight).

I've a point to make about the political structure as well, but that will require an additional comment box.

  • @alonmerlin

The political structure a country adopts is really, if you look closely, a reflection of its culture. Prior to the Japanese Empire there was a sense of Japanese nationalism, but only in its most basic form: "we're Japanese, they're not". A clearly defined state didn't emerge until after the Meiji Restoration, a period with massive Westernization.

And as the state continued to grow toward Fascism, individuals began to matter only inasmuch as they contributed to the imperial advance.

  • @alonmerlin

In fact, once the Empire was in full swing people ceased to be people at all. They were just pawns to be exploited for the good of the nation. Japan had always been pretty collectivist, but individuals used to hold at least a LITTLE value.

Notice also the shift to emphasis on Shinto, not as a religious movement but as a means to punctuate the Emperor's authority and to lend that authority to the state. Militant Shintoism hadn't been seen since Buddhism first hit Japan's shores!

  • There is an anthem march? waw i never knew that

  • 小学校の運動会では行進の際定番でしたあ

  • ばんざーい!素晴らしい行進。ばんざーい日本!

  • I love this. Classic march. Up to the best German standard.
