  • kerambit is classic deadliest weapon that originally from Asia martial art:Malaysia,Indonesia & Filipine ang never forget the root movement basicly from Silat....this weapon can use with multiply technique & attacking....normally it's use for fighting in small places, very close to anemies to cut the anemies stomach & neck......the intestine will came-out & die....

  • "throat slice" nigga im trying to keep myself from getting mugged not commit murder lol good video though i dig all the techniques.

  • @megatron515 eeh? In my country we dont have that kind of problem. First.

Second, even if you have a AK-47 in your pocket if you are cornered, to survive, you have to give all your money. ( by the way, i only use bank card)

Ill tell you kill or be kill waz ok before crhist but in 2011, is obsolete.

  • personally i like silats' use of the karambit a little better because its so fluid and flowing that before you know what hit you, youve been cut and sliced like 20 times :)

  • Dang, as a kenpo student myself finding this vid pushed me over the "edge" ;) and im so going to have to pick up one of these knives.

  • where can i buy this dvd ?

  • Interesting - I am looking for a good karambit lesson DVD but its hard to find. I might try yours and see how it is.

BTW if you cut & paste the url for your website in the description box it will be link making it easier for ppl to get to your site.

    Keep up the good work.

    :)

  • Yes, my training from Steve Tarani, who came from Suwanda Academy.

  • @Kenpohands nice My Sifu hosts her seminars when she comes over to london.

  • PENCAK SILAT

Steve Tarani Plus 36 years of Kenpo Karate

  • @Kenpohands have you heard of Ibu Siwanda?

  • You know its actually hard to find people who seem to know what there doing when it comes to edge impact combat. This guys seems to be one of those pple. Is your karambit stuff kali or silat based?

  • Cool vid thanks!!!

  • If the movie the Hunted had a sequel, it should have this knife.

  • @v10moped hahaha I think it would be too grousom! lol

  • I want more!!!..to defeat fascit!!..please teach me..

  • karambit is from indonesia/malay..the japanese never use karambit as a weapon!

  • where the hell did Kenpo Karambit come from?? I thought that the Karambit came from the Indonesia not japan.

  • Who said anything about Japan????

  • @Kenpohands If you type in kenpo on wikapedia you will find that Kenpo is a Japanese term. How the Karambit became japanese weapon I do not know

  • @1fightforright23 Ed Parker was a student of Kempo. When he devleoped American Kenpo it changed so the "M" to an "N" thus Kenpo, yes a Japanese based system. The Karambit is Indosesian/Malasian in roots. Kenpo Karambit is the Karambit use utilizing the movements and principles of Ed parker Kenpo Karate. Nothing more... Karambit is not Japanese weapon, correct..

  • @Kenpohands I understand

  • @1fightforright23 I do Wing Chun and the Karambit fits well with many arts. Most arts these days have mixed other things into their arts. He probably had other training as many martial artists have. I did some TKD before starting Wing Chun many I train with have Jujitsu or Karate training. We mix things up it's good training. It's not a traditional Japanese weapon they are just throwing in. I will mix anything I think is valid into my training using my own art as a base.

  • @1fightforright23 thats about right, the karambit is a favorite of Krav-Maga which is an Israeli martial art but knives and guns can be applied with any martial art with practise. Even specialised weapons such as the karambit.

  • @Describingthelost Hi If you type in Karambit into wikipedia you will find that the Karambit is a wepon used mainly in the Philippines and Indonesia not in Israel.

  • @1fightforright23 I didnt say it was from Isreal, I said the Karambit is a favorit of Krav-Maga which is an israeli martial art.

  • @Describingthelost how can it be a favorate of krav-Maga. I can understand if your instructor has added it to his curiculum and be a favorate of your Instructor. but how is it a favorit of Krav-Maga.

  • @1fightforright23 how very simple of you. "Seek not to others for knowledge" but since your so desperate to prove others wrong you asshole. I'll tell you, by "favoriting" a weapon it means those who study in said martial art prefer to use the weapon that would most fit their style, in this case the Karambit. Thank you very much have a nice day.

  • @Describingthelost o.k to truly study this weapon you have to go to the origins which is kali and silat. How can it fit there style? I can understand useing the karambit using krav maga principles. But krav maga to my knowledge is not as specialized in knife as it is in kali and silat.

  • @1fightforright23 I never said anything about it being specialized, but Karambit is EXCEPTIONALLY well adapted into Krav-Maga and is very VERY effective in the art. I can even name movies where they've incorporated the two. BUT you sir, being an asshole, are soo desperate to prove me wrong, that you just keep going, refusing to drop the matter or believe that any opinion but your own is right.

  • @Describingthelost o.k you are the asshole here because you keep on rambling on and on! in my past coment I have said"I can understand useing the Karambit using Krav maga principles" Which is what you are saying to me now. It seems to me that a prick like you cannot accept when he does not know what he is on about!

  • @1fightforright23 you agreed then disagreed, "I can understand using [correction because you can't spell] the karmbit using krav maga pinciples---but Krav Maga to my knowledge is not as specialized in knife as it is in kali and silat" why didn't you just say "It is but it isn't" it seems to me your the one who doesn't know your argument. I merely said that the Karambit has been used by MANY Krav Maga instructors by saying "its a favorite" and you threw a shit fit and started correcting. Grow up.

  • @Describingthelost Fuck you! you manipulative piece of shit spelling is not the issue here the issue is that you are not manly enough to understand when you are talking shit. The ones who disrespect first are the arrogant ones who do not know what they are talking about. I have looked through page after page on google to see if karambit is used, I have not seen one clip. Which brings me back to my other comments

  • @1fightforright23 so...its not like karate came from japan. it origionated in india.

  • @RzrsG41 Well another bullshiter that is not what the wikipedia says!!!

  • @1fightforright23 u dont believe that karate came from india then moved to china and then made its way to japan. im a martial arts expert i study train and research martial arts.. not saying i know every martial art but i do kno my karate and y dont u ask wikipedia if they have their black belt? you have to know ur history.

  • @1fightforright23 and i cant believe you base all your facts on wikipedia..."THATS NOT WHAT WIKI SAID UR SA BULLSHITTER" not many people do know that karate came from india. congrats you learned something new. and you can respond with a medeocre comment. if you'd like. jyst dont think ur gunna win this one sonny boy.

  • @RzrsG41 shoulda clarified it does depend on the type of karate because there are many types/

  • Comment removed

  • @RzrsG41 Go on tell me all the different types of karate and where they originated from! while your at it tell me your sensai's name, group and how much he is charging you.

  • @1fightforright23 i dont have to justify myelf there are many different types of karate but shaolin isnt one of them. u wanna talk Kung fu u are messing with the wrong person. u want some southernstyle Bak Mei, Wuzuquan, Choy Li Fut or Wing Chun? i understan that most karate is Kung fu but i also know that india helped. plz dont respond back iv had enough. i have nothing to proove i know what im talking about. just cuz the bible was written doesnt mean it was facts.

  • @RzrsG41 umm you will find that you do have to prove to me that what you are sayinng is true! You came to me so there is no room for baking down!! What I am trying to say here is that you have been terrably misinformed of correct history. You are contradicting yourself now you are saying that most of kung fu is karate! If you cannot prove this then you are simply takling shit.

  • @1fightforright23 so just because i dont wanna waste my time with you doesnt mean im a backing down or talking shit. you can open a book and read what ever you want. doesnt mean you gunna know everything . im done with your shit

i kniow what im talking about not you. nd if u dont wanna believe me then fine! im not gtunna continue this redundant conversation. its clearly goin nfuck owhere. u wanna fuck with kung fu come here. so fuck off and lemme enjoy my saturday. fag

  • @RzrsG41 on the contrary I asked for your Sifus name you did not give it! I asked for your group and you did not give it! I asked how much he is charging You? You did not give it! You have not given me not one peice of evidence to back up what you say. I say when you are done here since you are the one who fucked with me first. Everybody knows that Karate developed in Japan and nowhere else.

  • @1fightforright23 ur so duimb every one knews it went thru china first dumb ass, u didnt win shit my sifu is myGrand father and id rather noy release his personal info. keep yur shrouded prespective on karate,,if u wana keep yuour youtube account i sujjest u stop now,.

  • @RzrsG41 o.k if he is yourgrandfather then you can get him to tell the history in detail and tell me what type of Karate it is!!! No need for names you told me before that there are many styles of Karate which is also Kung fu LOL!!!!!! I will be waiting!! I am interested! If you get my account suspended it will only prove that you are wrong and I am right! and I WILL BE BACK STRONGER THAN EVER!!!

  • @1fightforright23 he told me that not a lot of people understand that it came from india but most people know that it came from china befor japan kung fu was never involved onl y the stepping stine of the martial art. karate is soo stiff and all bout formality . where as kung fu is like water. soft with the current. but is able to crush rocks. im done. please dont commen t back. i really dont wanna continue this.

  • @RzrsG41 Are you yourself indian?

  • @1fightforright23 no im actualy japanese. and so is my grandfather.

  • @RzrsG41 wow I am truly amazed I. Now I truly beleive you! Tell your grandfather that he has to tell wikipedia so the facts are correct. Why do they not know this?

  • @1fightforright23 hahaha. how you insult my home country is onething. insulting my family is another. if u dont agree. then assume ur right and do us a favour a stfu. because ur not changing anything. y dont you come to japan. i will personally pick u up myself. and trake u to my village. one mans meats is a nother mans Kun fu.

  • @RzrsG41 I am not insulting you yes I truly beleive that u are right. I did not insult your home country or your family. If you are Japannes and you are tellying me that it comes from india, then I will beleive you.

  • @RzrsG41 Are you trying to tell me that a world wide encyclopedia is talking crap. I just do not believe it.

  • @1fightforright23 im saying not everything you read is true. fuck all my was that was that karate origionally came from india. so if u disagree then fuck you stop callin me a bullshitter cuz i believe my sensai over you anyfuckin day.

  • @RzrsG41 I would like to know the name of your Sensai, the name of your group and where he got his facts from. From my resurch a indian budda came to china and showed the shaolin monks 5 exercises to keep them awik during meditation. Then from these exercises they developed there fighting style, they added animal elements to these exercises.

  • @1fightforright23 ur thinking kung fu.....wow,

  • Comment removed

  • @1fightforright23 indonesia and the philipines ^^

  • were can i get a pair of practice karambits like the ones on the videos.

  • The key word is TRAINER or TRAINING BLADES or Karambit trainer.type those words in

  • Thanks fucker....... know were can i get one..... later bro.. keep on kicking ass

  • your comment is confusing?????

Basically just type those words in.THis is the internet.we live in an age where you only need to know the name of the object

but I will help you one last time.I think Cops suppliers may have them

I saw some where on the net when I was looking for a hand gun trainer,on this cop supplier sight that had all kinds of plastic bade trainers from a plastic box cutter to a plastic Karambit trainer

actually he SHOULD included a Karambit trainer with his DVD

  • Pretty watered down by the looks of it. Will look out for the other videos though :-)

  • karambit is so evil!

  • why :( ?

  • Stupidity is, that the bad guys always know where to get THEIR weapons, so they`re always armed!! System punishes "normal" citizens for defending themselves but isn`t albe to fully protect them!!

  • Okay - let`s say I find somebody who teaches this to me here in Germany!! I buy a knife after the training and carry it with me where ever I go!! Then there will be this stupid grunt who starts a fight with me into a bar!! I pull my knife and slaughter him - which brings me 15 years into jail at least (german law)!! I don`t want to know what the punishment would be in the states!! So again - why EXACTLY should anybody learn this????

  • who said you had to kill him? Just because the drills have killing blows, it's still up to you to apply them. You could just cut inner muscles of the forearm or main muscles in the thigh to disarm/immobilize the guy. You almost have an immediate disarm within 2 beats of engaging anybody.

  • If someone is putting your life in danger,at least here in the United States your legal allowed to defend yourself using up to and including deadly force in the justice system its called a justifiable homicide.

  • That makes sense!! But here it doesn`t exist..if I carry a weapon without a permission and use it - I lost automatically!! :(

  • Because in America we have a right to defend ourselves. If someone intends to do me [serious] harm I have the right to kill them. And by serious I mean permanent.

  • That's where you get me. I understand the right to defend yourself, but the response you give should be ramped up or down depending on the threat.

If someone comes up me slightly drunk and swings a punch, I'm not just going to kill the guy for that. If he comes up to me ready to kill me?. Yes I will cause damage, but only enough to destroy the threat.

  • @Southern661 you certain about what you are saying? yes, you (we) have the right to defend ourselves, but you (we) dont hava the right to kill. even police arent allowed to (seriously) harm or kill an evil doer, even the guilty ones. probably if you are part of the army or marines, you can do serious harm, i guarantee it. but, as a civilian? i dont think so. which part of america are you from anyway? which state?

  • If you or someone else is in danger of serious harm, my CCW training says I have the right to use deadly force to remove that danger. End of story, and most likely the assailant.

  • @selfdefense05 actually police are trained to shot to kill never to harm or subdue. if a police officer fires their weapon that officers direct intent is to kill the suspect. the reson for this is that a living suspect can change his story in court and make the cop the badguy even when the cops actions might have saved innocent lives. also a dead man cant shoot back

  • @cockeatter Your a bit off. Im former officer. Police do not 'Shoot to Kill" they are trained to "Stop" the threat. There is a diference. For example:

A bad guy is comming at me with a knife, this is a deadly force encounter. Officers are trained to shoot center mass. If I hit the bad guy in the chest/gut area he may drop dead or he may fall down still alive. Either way the threat was "Stopped" Officer dont necessarily shoot to kill. They shoot to "Stop" the threat. Bad guy may live may die.

  • say this 'grunt' has a knife and is trying to kill you....still feel the same way?

  • Yes, I carry a gun.

  • y isit so spinny

  • hahaha "fillet"... ouuch

  • .. but.. but dear officer, I had no money for food ..

  • hahahah man this thing is fucking sick

  • Ah, sorry for posting the same thing so many times, haha, but the karambit is a traditional Indonesian knife used in the many forms of Silat - collected as a whole they are known as Pencak Silat.

  • Indonesia.

  • Where is this weapon originated from?

  • Indonesia.

  • Friggn' sweet

  • great for when i wanna cut up a skinny teen dojo punk

  • tool.

  • Yeah...and that skinny teen dojo punk could kick your fat ass.

  • lol sure thing

  • He explained what "flipping" is. You don't flip the karambit, thats just spinning it a bunch of times. You use the momentum to reach and extend for fast cuts with a further reach.

  • Philippine martial arts

  • Deffinitely turned me onto the uses of a Karambit. Wish you guys had a place somewhere in IL, i'd love to take some personal classes with you guys. I ordered that DVD btw and i'm just waiting for it to come in. Great job and can't wait to start learning

  • on western a block south of lawrence, someone teaches silat in the wushu and gymnastics place, good luck

  • nice promo vid...

  • Good primer on a few basics. I'm sure the whole video is a lot more in-depth, but this sample was pretty good.
