  • I agree with everything you said. Brilliantly said. Love Rose and Ten :)

  • I have to say, I cried as much watching this as I did watching the actual episode. The storyline and everything was epic and important of course, but seeing final scene between Rose and the Doctor seemed so much more important than flashy battle scenes. I can't decide whether that was perfect closure or no closure at all.

I'm not sure how I feel about the whole 10v2/Rose thing, but I think it would have been perfect if Rose had kissed the original Doctor instead, finally saying goodbye to him.

  • I don't understand why people dont like this episode, they say it does not make since, but then the same people say the series 5 fanalie was so great, but the series 5 fanalie was stupid, perdictible, and made no since at all!!!!!

  • I love WICKED!!!!!!!

  • It's like I'm..."DOWN WITH HUMAN TEN! ROSE STEALER!" But at the same time, it's like "Oh! So cute! 10.5/Rose all the way!"

  • OMG! I'm such a Doctor Rose shipper. I cried every time in Journey's End and Doomsday. ;_;

I made a quiz on Facebook about How well do you know DoctorXRose. Not even my friends who watch Doctor Who got all the questions.

oh! I need someone to ship my heart out.

  • Love to watch your reactions to DW, and you do see a lot of details & nuance. A friend of mine just got hooked on the show and she "geeks out" just as much as you do, but without quite as much insight.

  • you made my cry thinking about it :( I'm a massive Rose and the Doctor shipper and when The orginal doctor said "He needs you. Thats very me.". Man, it broke my heart and then his expression when Rose and clone doctor kissed ... ugh! ripped my heart out.

  • has anyone seen the deleted scene from the final episode where the orginial ten throws the clone doctor a piece of the tadris and tells them they can grow another one an ddonna tells them how to speed up the grow.....its really quite cool

  • I love how when the Doctor is watching the Tardis burn in the heart of the Crucible, Rose comes over and takes his hand as sort of a show of comfort and empathy...and then how at the end, when Rose is standing on the beach and watching the Tardis disappear forever, and she's feeling abandoned, the part-human Doctor comes over and takes *her* hand in a similar kinda gesture...it was rather like a reversal of roles, and you get the impression that they will be okay in the end.

  • omg

    i totally agree

  • Question! regarding the whole sending the regeneration energy into the hand, I'm thinking that technically means David Tennant is the 10th and 11th Doctor's because he used up a life, am I right or not? :)

  • I'd always been a Rose/Doctor fan. Until Series 4. And sudden Rose was...clingy. Whiny. Self-obsessive. She spent so much of her time annoyed and teary that the Doctor was 'leaving her out' while the world was ending. And that's when I lost all love for her. I'm glad she got a portion of her happy ending w/ the Doctor clone...but I'm content to never see her again. I shall hold a grudge. :D lol. Nice video, though. It's fun to see other's reactions.

  • How would you have felt if the person you loved more than anything and had crossed universes to find was RIGHT THERE and you were trying to find them and help them, and they were talking to/seeing everyone but you?

  • I'd like to think I'd be able to push those emotions aside in order to focus on the bigger picture that was saving the universe. ;)

I really don't have a problem with Rose as a character. I just don't care to 'ship her with The Doctor, especially after recent events. He's very aloof and alien, and has been since the series aired in the '60s. He should stay that way.

I'm glad Rose got her human!Ten clone, honest.

  • I think Rose was being pretty saving universe-y. She was working hard and being pretty serious, she just wanted to find the Doctor and also knew she could do the best good if she was with him.

I'm mixed about DoctorXRose, I am a total shipper, but I wouldn't really like it if they really 'got together'. It wouldn't be right for the Doctor. I like the loose way they were 'together' in seasons 1 and 2.

I'm happy, but sad with 10.5 It's kind of bittersweet.

  • Hi, great comments on the episode! I love Dr Who and im completely a Dr+Rose shipper. You seem to feel as passionately about them as i do lol. Of course Donna's ending was sad and i cried at that too but it's the Doc and Rose that make me really blub. I was so apprehensive(sp?) about how their reuion was going to pan out and like you i was really happy and gutted at the same time.

Just want to mention another moment i liked was when she says 'so i could come back'+ he giggles.

  • Really great video, I loved the Doctor and Rose thing very much. But I hated how the two people (Donna and Rose) who wanted to stay with him were the ones that couldn't, and will probably never see him again, while the others who left him still have all their memories in tact! And I cried so much after that episode too. I cry everytime I watch it!

  • good vid, but i felt the complete opposite of you :p

  • oh you've made me cry! the episode was amazing...it's one of those things I'm not going to be able to get out of my head.

  • imagine watching a pius bastard disappearing of in your tardis

    by ALT 10thDOCTOR

  • so i basically just found this channel from kayley's fiveawesome girl video sidebar links..and i kept watching because your accent sounds so cool.

  • one last thing some one once told me that insted of being with the person you love the most I whould just want them to be happy and thats what the doctor did for rose he made it so that hes leaving a part of him with her and she is happy and thats all he needs.

  • I loved the ep. but it was so sad! I mean imagine watchin some one you love so much being with you but its not even really you its just some one who looks like you and had to say good bye to her to times and I love the sence because rose finally has something close to the doctor kinda but I also hate it because the real doctor has to say good bye forever . sorry if this makes no sense.

  • I love seeing more young people like myself getting into the show - I'm only 22 but I grew up watching the classic series and barely anyone at school had seen the show... nowadays everyone's a fan! :)

  • very good vid, understand dr who very well, (Y)

  • I know exactly what you mean about how Donna's loss of her memories was even sadder than it would of been had she died! I was just talking to my friend about it and I said almost exactly the same thing to her.

    Great vid!!

  • well done.

you've made more sense of the situation of doctor and rose. :D

  • Omg your the Same as me :) I love the scene.

We should chat sometime ? Message me i have msn and omg you have the same glasses as metoo.

But yeh i love the doctor and rose chemistry its just beautifully portrayed in a love story. and yes i admit i cryed like a baby when they kissed it was soo emotionally brilliant.

  • omg tat was actuli quite deep, i was xpectin a load of crap but no it was gd ! I LUV RND

  • I loved all the subtle Ten&Rose moments in the episode too. Like when Davros calls the Doctor on his true nature, a fury that caused the death of millions, and asks him why he feels so shy about showing it and you get the feeling its because he hates Rose seeing him like that, and that he is both frightened and ashamed of what she might see in him. I mean he won't even look at her in that moment.

I also loved the "Leave her alone." moment.

    He is so possesive. XD

  • I love a flashback, I shouted at the screen when all the characters come up when Davros was reminding the Doctor of all the deaths he's caused. I remembered Lynda with a Y and the scottish bloke. A good scene

  • Oh my dear god, you speak so fast! That's cute. Not very easy to understand sometimes, considering the fact that I'm not English -- but, well, that's my problem. Still, I think I understood your point of view and I believe you're right about the meaning of that kiss and whatever what happens next. But the first time I saw it, I didn't feel the emotion at all. Of course, it was well acted but the edit in itself was pretty bad. Time limitation, perhaps? A four part finale would have been better.

  • You go into some depth on this! But yeah, agree that it's a bittersweet thing, she gets a happy ending but he doesn't... but maybe it's the happiest he could have hoped for?!

  • That's what makes the Doctor. He is incredibly self-sacrificing. I think that's one of the reasons he's the last remaining Time Lord. Being one of the true few who could let the universe's needs come before his.

And yes, Donna's fate was the saddest ever. Even when the Doctor got that glimpse of all the people who had died "because of him", their deaths pale in comparison to what became of Donna. Like you said, the other companions have their memories at least. She's left with nothing.

  • you made me cry...

and reminded me how depressed i was about this.

"he needs you, thats very me"

OMG when anyone says that i cry :(

    well done.

  • Hello (:

This is ace, i love knowing what other people think. i was sooo happy when they kissed, dream come true (:

    x

But I cryed throught like all of it.. especially the doctor x

  • It was such a bittersweet ending, i agree with you, I just wished that Rose had one kiss with the orginal doctor. But I think that if he had kissed her, I dont think he would have left her there. I was a little annoyed that he really didnt give Rose the option to stay with him or stay with Doctor #2, which made me a little..WHAT!!! she fought so hard to find him. I just cried when you saw the look on 10 when Rose kissed Doc 2, it was like " That should be me" We will see her again.

  • Nah, we won't. Sorry, but I just can't see that happening. Brilliant episode.

  • I think Doctor(10) changed to match Rose more.

I love that, "He needs you, that's very me" line too.

  • the doctor and rose ending made me feel a bit short-changed...as much as i am a Rose/Doctor fan, Rose didn't seem happy at the end.She seemed to love the travelling in the Tardis and the adventure as well as the real doctor, and she wouldn't get that with the human doctor...in my opinion anyway :D

  • In Parting of the Ways, go back and look at what rose said in the Fish and Chip shop. That the aliens and spaceships and things don't matter, but that the Doctor showed her a better way of living her life. She just wants to be with him. And she can be, so it's happy for her. Awkward yes, but happy.

  • I'm kind of surprised that you were so happy with the way things worked out with Rose and the half-doctor. I kind of felt like she had been cheated. I know, I know--he has all the same memories and everything, but he's not THE doctor.

I do agree, however, that Donna's fate was worse than death, in a way.

OMG I wanted to cry when the Doctor said the thing about all his other friends having someone else. And seeing his reaction to Rose with the other doctor was just heart-wrenching!

  • Whoa does this mean that the new doctor has to get a job? I mean he doesn't have a Tardis or anything . . .

  • Head of parralel torchwood, probably.

  • do you think hell sty lone for a while now?

i think he should have a male companion as a mate next like some of his past male companions, what about rivyer song? will it be fair to love her knowing she'll die?

  • I want Sally Sparrow as the next companion. or Jenny. Or both.

  • i'm so so sad right now i never liked donna but now after this ep i <333333333333 her so much right now i will miss her

  • I cried so much when Donna turned back to her shallow self, she changed so much for the Doctor :(

  • i totaly agree, i mean, it was sad for original doctor... but great for rose as, like you said, the new doctor is the doctor too you know? so she does get her happy ending, and the doctor made the ultimate sacrifice of letting her go. it was so weet, yet heartbreaking and amazing all at once.

  • I don't think that Rose fell in love with the 9th Doctor, I think she fell in love with the great man that he was underneath all the pain of the time war, and that great more carried on and grew in the 10th Doctor, so it just increased their love and relathionship.

What I loved more than anything was the Fact that the Doctor was giving Rose, what he could give no other assitant, which was himself as a human. And I think him watching this dopleganger was painful for him, because he could see...

  • all the pain that comes with being a timelord, is the fact that he can never love, never have a family and never do anything normal. Which was also reflected I thought in Series 3 ''Family of blood'' two parter!

    (If that makes sense)!

Donna's ending was the most tragic thing, because like Wilf said, ''she was better with you''. And I loved how The Doctor told Donna's mum to call her special once in a while because he knew, that she would go back to believing she was nothing!

    Great video! x

  • uh. you made me cry. i mean, well, the episode made me cry several times. every time i think about the episode i burst into tears. haha. its so tragic T_T i love the doctor and rose. i was crying my eyes out at that part when they were running towards each other down the street. my heart was pounding. its amazing how much of an affect this series has on people T_T <3

  • Spot on :)

  • Nice to see someone else that is as big a fan as I am of the Rose and the Doctor. ^_^

  • I cried my eyes out watching this episode. Especially the very ending with Donna. I can't think anything worse than taking all of her memories of the Doctor away. :'( And when the Doctor says bye to her, and she just... well, doesn't know. Heart-breaking.

I agree with all what you said about Rose/Ten.

  • donna :'(

  • Someone may have already mentioned these, but these were my other fav D/R parts:

-When Rose walks up to the Doctor and grabs his hand on the Crucible after the Tardis has just been "destroyed"-- or so they think.

-And when the new Doctor has just came and the whole scene b/w him and Donna, especially when he says "look at that hand. I love that hand." :) ...

-LOVED the Doctor's smile when Rose is telling him about the machine they were building so she could come back. Adorable.

  • I pretty much agree with you on everything. It was so heartbreaking, and I have really mixed feelings about Rose and the other Doctor. I was pretty much in tears when Original Ten said to the effect, "he needs you and that's so very me."

And yes, Donna's ending was so tragic.

  • Oh dear... I cried watching this video xD I'm still a bit of a mess... I can't believe we hafta wait another 2 years!

  • I cried too.

Wait. Two years? Isn't it only 5 months? I refuse to wait 2 years lol.

  • It's such a weird situation. The second Doctor felt everything that the Original Doctor felt. So by going with Rose, there one heartbroken lonely Doctor was saved. But the Original Doctor was put into even more pain and loneliness.

  • This episodeb was everything. It was funny, amazing and sad.

I've always had mixed feelings about The Doctor and Rose relationship because of the fact that I knew that it couldn't last so I'm glad Hand Doctor was born for Rose to be what Rose needs in The Doctor.

  • "Horrendously painful"

Thus is the life of a Timelord.

  • so agree with everything you said. Such a bittersweet ending between the two of them

  • I love this video. I feel exactly the same way about the doctor and rose.

  • This episode was brilliant, but very sad.

Even when Rose kissed the half doctor it didn't feel right to me.

And that ending with Donna...it was horrible.

  • I try to twist my perception of the scene, and trick myself into believing she's kissing the original Doctor. Tennant's acting makes it so hard though! I don't know what he did, but something made the two Doctors so different. You can just tell.

  • I know what you mean! They were the same but not. :/

  • And it was more that a change in hairstyle. Tennant changed his way of..being for each of the two! Amazing.

  • I know! How does he do that? *is amazed*

  • I suppose there's only one explanation. He really is a Time Lord. Yay!

  • Lol there you are then! We have it sussed.

  • I looked pretty similar after that episode, i loved it so much :)
