  • Apparently you aren't familiar with Eotechs? It is definitely not on backwards.

  • why's your eotech on backwards?

  • @clearwater420

    Its not backwards.

  • I'm thinking about doing some more videos...maybe one on Adams Arms gas piston kits, PWS FSC556, Remmington 887 12 ga, Primary Arms 3x magnifier, and I'm not sure what else. If anyone is interested, or has requests, please let me know.

  • @texas, nah, I wasn't aware at all until you just told me, lol. Wish they could have at least linked the video instead of just ripping it.

  • I'm not sure if you're aware, but the Grip Pods.com website has added this video to it's Gallery page...it's the second video at the bottom...Great review, and thanks for the info! Looks like a "Pod" will be going on my M16A4 clone soon! Thanks!

  • Thanks for this vid

  • Im planning on buying one of these for paintball, they seem pretty awesome, not to mention extremely convenient. My local pro-shop sells em, and their made by a company named "Petrol" which makes some good stuff, please feel free to give your opinion on whether Its safe to invest in one, in terms of quality. Thanks!

  • good review bud keep them comeing

  • I just purchased a grip pod on ebay for 40 bucks. Thanks for the video it helped a lot. Does your grip pod have any slight wobbling when deployed? it isn't that bad I was just wondering.

  • i'm getting one for my rifle, it's one of those cheap ones, but i know it's one of the cheap ones lol. but for just ten dollars, it should be enough. i just gotta watch how tight i turn it right? i'll be using it on my m&p 15-22 so no need to worry about recoil.

  • Great vid! Thank you for the info!

  • Dude I can't thank you enough for posting this video. I was just at a gun show and I saw a grip pod for less then half of what the usually retail for. I thought it had to be a fake Chinese POS for that price but using the information I got from this video I checked all the features you mentioned here. Low and behold the damn thing was a real grip pod. If I hadn't seen this video I would've passed it up as a fake and missed a god damn screamin deal.

  • I can't believe people are defending the crappy imitator grippod. I would be pissed off if someone sold me that 5 dollar piece of crap for the 120 dollars. Thanks for the video ghetto, this'll help me with my purchase.

  • find the guy who sold it to you and shove it up his ass then open the bipod

  • Gadamn, Chicoms!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the warning......

  • Chinese Piece Of Crap LoL!

  • Thanks for the heads up, heading out to a gun show this weekend, and I will look before buying.

  • You and another video helped me decide on purchasing the GPS bipod. Your video helped me ask for pictures of the markings. Thanks

  • Grip pod makes a single and duel rail system that attaches to the grip-pod and you can mount a flashlight on one side and a laser on the other.... Really Great !!!!!!

  • good news four me i just got back from the gunshow and im glad a got the real one.

  • can i have it? thanks bud.

  • Its prob good for skirmishing in airsoft though....can I have? JK lol :D

  • do you think that the chinese grip pod is for airsoft

  • do you think that the chinese grip pod is for airsoft

  • i'm not criticizing you or anything but do you think that the chinese grip pod is for airsoft

  • @swatlover16 they are for airsoft, but the problem is that you have people selling them as the real thing for real firearms. THAT is the problem.

  • @ghettoguydan very true. i'm an airsofter so i guess it is not much of a problem which one i get.

  • @ghettoguydan very true. i'm an airsofter so i guess it is not much of a problem which one i get.

  • @ghettoguydan You are 100% correct. The Airsoft rifles are such close clones of the real thing, that companies are producing parts for Airsoft that IMITATE the real thing, but yet will fit on both. I have seen grips, rail systems, flip sights, ect. that the only way you would know the difference is to actually feel the quality with your hands.

In fact, Customs has banned a lot of the Airsoft AR lowers because they can actually fit and work on a real upper.

  • i just got mine love it on my ar great price for it too

  • Thank you for posting this, I've been looking at them on Ebay and some look suspicious! Now I know what to look for because of this video.

  • The price difference between the two is significant. If your life doesn't depend on the grip pod, you may want to buy a knock off just for plinking.

I bought a cheapo, and I stripped the thread the first time too. I put a washer on the head of the bolt, which gave me a little more thread to work with. I was more gentle the second time. I paid $15, so wasn't too bummed.

The bolt is 3mm 1 1/2 inch by the way if you're looking for a replacement bolt.

  • What web site did you get yours from? I want to make sure i get a good one.

  • WERE CAN I GET IT THEN

  • Yes people, PLEASE BEWARE of cheap chinese imitations...Great video to distinguish the 2!! Glad I have the real thing!

  • ...continued.......(manufacturer states to extend legs before you unscrew "counter clockwise" the end cap off). I guess if I ever need to take the thing apart for cleaning, I'll try a strap wrench. It looks like the end cap and grip is all one piece, that's why i thought that it wasn't legit.

  • Thank You for making this vid. I just bought one off E-whore. I have been trying to take my end cap off and it isn't budging. Per your video, I have concluded that this item is legit, has the larger size bolt head, nut has a screw stop, and has the manufacturers name and url raised in the molding on the one side.

The item is a GPS-02, but if there's threads on the bottom of the grip i sure can't seem to unscrew it. That's why at first I thought that it wasn't real........

  • DAYUM I wish I had seen this before i went to the gun show!! :-( I'm gonna try and find the woman than sold this to me at the next one I go to. Maybe that's why she had the huge rottweiler sitting next to her...for disgruntled customers LOL Fuk it.

  • Thanks for the info. I'll be going to a gun show New Years weekend and will be shopping for a GripPod. Now I know what to look for.

  • Great info. Thanks. I will be going to a gun show New Years weekend and planning on shopping for a GripPod. Now I know what to look for.

  • on the foregrip with a bipod with is the piece that u tighten it onto the gun with? I messed up the threads so it wont tighten and where can i get that little piece?

  • I'm in the process of looking for on of these and now I know what to watch out for. Thanks.

  • I bought a rip off Grip Pod at a show for $15.00. Bolt stripped first time and my gun smith tried to find one... no luck. I put a washer on the bolt end and it will tighten now. POS

  • It's a nice acceroiry. Our army is going to put standard on al weapons!!!

That will be The Dutch Royal Army.

    good review do

  • your right the real ones sell at shops for 100 its real strong and well made.... f its real it says grip pod.... period

  • cant you just replace the stripped bolt?...i mean it seems simple to me..

  • no, they use a completely different size, both the bolt head, and the bolt diameter are completely different

  • Take out the old screw and on a drill press drill out the hole to accept a long enough 8-32 allen machine screw at Lowes. Get a 8-32 rubber well nut as well at Lowes. Grind the internal area of the screw shank flat to fit between the pod and the picatinny. A drop of epoxy on the screw shank around the internal area and you have a full functional cheap alternative to a over priced original as is most of these polymer grips. Sorry if that rubs the company the wrong way.

  • @martywhitevan you can replace it but he's saying it's garbage because it's smaller and soft metal. the "chinese shit" isn't ass sturdy as us standards.

  • Love the grip pod. These things cost a grip. ;) I'm glad I got a good deal on mine.

  • where did u get yours?
