This brought back memories of working on MLB, 44407, 44356 & yes a wood haul MLB 36535. Thanks for all the hours of love you guys have given her, she looks GREAT.
It's really nice to see a 44 in local service. IMO the USCG should've given all of them all (minus 44301) to the Aux instead of basically dumping them. I'm sure you love that boat as much as those that came before you. BTW, did you do the cutlass bearings? =)
You Aux guys are great people. Thanks for everything.
// former MK and my dad designed and installed the first splash guards at Group Woods Hole.
Good for you for changing them. I don't think the ones on 44301 have been done in a while. And they are a real pain to change. My dad has changed out dozens over the years and always complained. =) Yeah, I forgot about the rub rails.
As you know you have a special and beloved boat. Thanks for keeping her alive. She'll repay the favor some day.
BTW, have you taken her out for some "surf testing" yet. =)
Also Coxswained 359 in the early 80's. Nice to see her. FYI 41468 also has a video.

I use to drive this boat back in the 1980's at Station Muskegon. She is a beautiful boat and I am more than glad to see she is still in use.

Absolutely amazing.
I wish my flotilla had an old MLB... Unfortunately our AOR is an inland lake.
Take some more footage of the lady on patrol.

We did do the cutlass bearings - not an easy job, but tough to say which was worse, that or the rub rails.

Is that a new boat design from the Deep Water program?

Not quite, she was built in 1966. See 44mlb dot com for more details on the 44 MBLs.
