Ahem... actually "Rock, and roll", was invented by a Norwegian immigrant by the name of Pete 'Hamfly' Thompson. He was best known for his song, "My one leg'll kick yer two legged ass" in which he described how just because he lost a leg to Scandanavian swine herpes in his teens, don't mean he cant beat the hell outta ya with the wooden leg he's got. He died in prison in 1921 where he was jailed for killing a man with said leg.

It's almost impossible to say who "invented" rock 'n' roll because it didn't just magically appear out of nowhere all of a sudden in some finished, perfected form. It's something that gradually came to be that was created by a number of different musicians working independently.
