@dubterr you are right after 15 years he is getting ready to do all the things you imagine. He was just waiting for your comment to post so he could prove how knowledgeable you are about him.
@crystalseattletv this lady may be doing something you can not or do not care to do but she is not a moron. A moron would be one who doesnt demonstrate understanding about events beyond their intelligence level.
@lionphotostudios It has nothing to do with "caring not to do it" - its WRONG to exploit an African Lion. What purpose does this serve to conservation efforts? What does keeping a full grown male lion as a pet or caged have to do with conservation or their best interest? She is a full fledged moron for doing this...for obviously lacking the understanding of the animals best interest, as an LVT and wildlife conservationist supporter, I do believe that this shows NOTHING more than poor judgement
@crystalseattletv no one is exploiting any lions. All these lions blood lines have been raised in the USA since 1920s. As much as we would love to return the off spring to the wild, it is not a safe place. If you are the conservationist you claim to be you know this.
All our lions are used to educate the general population of the wild lions plight.
We donate hundred of thousands to saving the lions in the wild and have done so over the last 15 years.
@lionphotostudios NOT only that but it implies that lions can be kept as such or even "tamed" as this lion appears to be (but obviously is simply choosing not to react). I think before you can make any sound comment YOU need to research the clips you post to YouTube and the comments you reply back with as videos like this won't be tolerated by myself or wildlife conservationists.
@crystalseattletv What it implies to you is what you want it to imply. Other people realize that the lions can not be kept as pets just as we tell everyone of the millions of visitors that have seen our lions. Our goal has always been to change the hearts of the visitors that lions, while predators, do not have to be killed for humans to be safe. There is a link on our site that leads to a 3 rd party donation site to stop the poisioning of lions. Some people will never tolerate other ideas.
@lionphotostudios With all due respect and you're right, but rather being attacked by a dog or horse. Than to take risks with a lion. No hate!, and i wish you a blessed day.
true, that tale flicking is a sign that he is getting annoyed, i hope this is her cat and not some random stranger cause that would be so irresponsible
The lion simply tolerates the (woman). He is no more interested in this gig than the man on the moon. Mark my words, the day this so-called show scores high ratings, is when we all see her feet dangling out of its mouth.
God endowed man with glory, that even a lion would respect her and not kill her, however don't keep on teasing him. I wonder how eden was like, adam and even must have had fun playing with these creatures.
wow thats big lion but i think u have a chance 2 have very good relation with a lion than a tiger i heard more tiger attacks than lions correct me if i am wrong
@lionphotostudios You are correct too. I am a biologist and I have been an etholigist for some years. Maybe i wrong but i must remenmber that the lion is A LION, not a lamb. An animal can became suddenly dangerous often for no apparent reason or maybe just for fun. This has happened many times. So i suggest to the girl to be more prudent .14 years togheter means absolutely nothing (my opinion of course).
@okalani1992 Humans domesticated dogs from wolves, domestic cats from wildcats, cows from aurochs, sheep from mouflons, domestic goats from bezoar goats, pigs from wild boars, and chickens from red junglefowls! And now we depend on them!
@Cheetree1 barbary lions are the largest lions check the encyclopedia. And I am a lion freak. No the true real name is Berber lion(its called by the Enhlish a Barbary lion), Its a called a berber lion becuase the Berber lion is from the region were the Berber poeple live, Like Morocco, Algeria, Tunes and Libya.
These are type of pet relationships I'm very concerned about. Lion is the king of beast not some cuddly animal to bring home. Few months were gonna see this lady and others in some obituary. This has to stop.
@lionphotostudios although u r correct in stating that a bond can be formed between a big cat&a human such as in this case i assume she raised this male from a cub. u appear to be a a zoologist or an activist of some sort. i can see ur passion&can admire u for it.I to love nature all animals&wana see the public educated not misinformed or ignorant when it comes to the worlds dominant predators..but u must undrstnad this beast belongs in the jungle free! lions hav not yet been domesticated!
@musvlehead what we are trying to do, is make a clear statement that yes they are wild animals, but they are also capable on accepting humans into their prides. We want to make sure people view lions as an animal they can love instead of fearing as the norm goes. Much harder to kill something you love than something you fear. I loved them all to be in the wild, but now they are poached, hunted as trophies, posioned, and habitat destroyed. Ours have been in the USA for 100 yrs.
@lionphotostudios..i know he is well fed visa vee is mild mannered demeaner&it might nevr happen but thr is a chance he can turn on her like a switch his natural instincts r still thr..bottom line is they r unpredictable wen confined..gd luk
@musvlehead there is always a chance he can harm her or me just by using his weight of 500 lbs, just as a 500 lb house cat could do. We always watch him every minute, he lives outside my bedroom and is one of 40 lions on ranch that I have been working with for the last 41 years. Lions send very clear signals about their mood, which if we miss would be our fault not his.
@lionphotostudios fantastic specimen. thanks for posting this video.
I am very interested in the big cats. could you please tell me this lion's height from the top of the shoulder to the ground & from the head to the ground? also it's species? south / east african or barbary? also is it the biggest you have? if there's a bigger lion you could post a video of that too. thanks.
@nayanmalig I'm not the person who made the video, (who you were actually asking) so I don't know about this indivual lion, but I hope this still will help: Male lions normally get up to 4 feet at the shoulder. So from the top of its head to the ground, if it held ts head high, would be about 5 feet. This lion here definetly looks like one of those big ones. But it's hard to tell since we can't tell how tall the girl there is.
@suicunesrider thanks. that i basically knew. I wish the video producer told the size of this fellow & whether there are bigger specimens with him. This looks a really classy animal.
This is a huge cat. Should be at least 500 lbs. I can't even imagine how big a 800 lb Siberian tiger would look like. The discovery and NGC documentary states that Siberian tigers kill and eat adult brown bears. I think felines are blessed with the natural instinct to kill and eat. Nothing can beat the big cats when it comes to hunting. Sad that their habitats in the wild is threatened by the most feared predator on earth: Man!!!
What happens if someone torments the lion with stones or sticks and leaves while this lady goes in not having witnessed what had transpired and the lion takes it out on her?
Btw, that little cage doesn't look fit to keep a lion in. Such a large animal should have some big grass areas with trees, not be locked up in a cage and having to endure hearing the other animals complain about their crappy little living areas 24/7. Who could blame them if they flip-out and shred those "caregivers"?
@guyNbluejeans No one can get to that lion or our other lions without encountering 4 gaurd dogs, 40 cameras, 10 ft solid block wall, 16 ft cage wall and then armed patrols with 45 cal machine guns who watch the cameras. By the way at night the thermal cameras are active.
Now the cages, yes I d like grass and trees, but we live in the desert and constant walking on grass kills it faster than we can get it to grow. All these cat have AC and heated den boxes besides 3500 sq ft cages minimum
@lionphotostudios Thanks for your civil and informative comments. Perhaps I was a little unfair about the issue of the animals not appearing to have enough living space, as clearly that big lion in the vid seems to be of a healthy disposition as evident by the fact that he's obviously enjoying the love and attention the lady is giving him. On top of that, it now seems obvious to me that you folks are doing the best you can in helping those critters out and no doubt they'd be in worse shape.....
We have worked at the MGM in Vegas for 14 yrs trying to change the public mindset that it is ok to kill lions, because they have been tought to fear them. We donante and encourage everyone to donate to all non profits that save the wild lions and their Habitat. People only save what they love and we want them to fall in love with our lions. Soon there will be no lions in the wild. Development and poisioning by locals ihas taken heavy toll. Besides trophy hunters that kill best.
lion A while back I saw on one of those shows like Dateline some film of a lioness in Africa that had eaten poisoned meat and I had to change the channel as that sort of death has to be one of the worst ways to go. It makes me sad at how much heart-breaking suffering goes on in this word, but I guess that's just how it is. I mean even the zebras getting it from the lions and so what is one to think, kill the lions to save the zebras? Same with polar bears and seals ... it's one big foodchain.:-(
@guyNbluejeans They werent saving Zebras they were protecting their cattle. But the poison is not selective, you wont kill the exact lion that may have killed the cattle, you will also kill Hyenas, birds etc. The food chain has always been there, but nature kept it in balance, man has now changed the balance. Very sad what we are doing, but we try to do our part in changing peoples attitudes so maybe we can slow the wild lions demise down.
@lionphotostudios Good points. Take care keep up the good work! One day if I can come up with some serious dough, maybe I'll set up a facility and take some of those big cats off your hands.:-)
looking at this very large mature male lion i can see why a 1200-1500lb Kodiak would have no problem killing it. those bears make this thing look tiny.
@poisonblack83 how could you compare posing with a lion for 100 Mil with prostitution? for god sake use your god damn brain and try to come up with a relevant analogy fag.
its a docile lion man and you are still peeing in your pants and even a reward of 100 mil cant get you jacked up to get close to a lion raised in captivity and trained to accept human handling - all that clearly SHOWS / DEMONSTRATES that you are a pussy.
this is in deed facinating empressive, what can i say...you and your lions are my favorites.
can you please tell me what state are you in,and if it is possible to come and visite your exebits,i would love to take pictures with your lions and of course offer you a donations to save the big cats.

@guyNbluejeans

Same with polar bears and seals ... it's one big foodchain.:-(
guyNbluejeans 8 months ago

@umarmaxmas shows that i value my life more than money ! am not as cheap as you ! go become a prostitute if money is what you care about
poisonblack83 8 months ago
@poisonblack83 how could you compare posing with a lion for 100 Mil with prostitution? for god sake use your god damn brain and try to come up with a relevant analogy fag.
its a docile lion man and you are still peeing in your pants and even a reward of 100 mil cant get you jacked up to get close to a lion raised in captivity and trained to accept human handling - all that clearly SHOWS / DEMONSTRATES that you are a pussy.
