I remember being caught in a freak heavy rain fall just two weeks after chernoble and recently after the japonise disaster there was a sparser rain that fell in huge soft drops , they wouldn't tell you if it was radio active because they couldn't afford the insurance bill

I'm sorry if you misunderstood my comment.. the people in Cheronobyl didn't know and weren't told any different. I was referring to the situation in Japan. It is so many years after the devastation that happened in Cheronobyl. I thought maybe we as a nation of humanity would respect the "technology" that we've so ingeniously "figured out". Nobody in good faith, really considered the risks beimg taken in Japan was wrong?????.. I'm sorry for my lack of clarity..

Chernobyl was ridiculous. Building a nuclear power plant on a fault line. That is just plain stupid. The people that refused to evacuate, probably about as dumb. My tax dollars going to clean up their idiocy, criminal. Don't support lack of concern, respect, or intelligence. If you want to help out, look on the block you live on, I'll bet there's at least one person that could use a helping hand.

@THEPaintballKidd In the simplest terms, the radiation messes with your Cells and your DNA in your chromosomes and the DNA itself. It mutates it, and makes it strange.

@setustraight They were most likely in the womb, or not even developed yet. She didnt even have to be pregnant. It messed with the womans chromosomes and when the baby was born it had mutated chromosomes, which made them sometimes very little deformed, or as you see in this, morbidly deformed.
