I think Beryl is okay with a few minor tweaks. I honestly think the cube desktop thing is a bit over rated also... It's annoying when you try to do something serious.

I just felt like showing it off on Windows. =]

Yeah the program in the video description doesn't work with that crack anymore because a lot of people download and used it. lol.

I am getting my new PC though and I will renew my key for the program- I'm not putting DL links though because it will deactivate mine if they find out that it's being used on so many computers.

Not that great. I honestly think that DeskSpace is better,mostly becuase alot of pepole dont need 6 Desktops and their both the same basicly.The only diffrence is the window thing but thats not very usefull if you see what im saying.

DeskSpace has a shitty GUI, terrible physics, almost no options, and is very basic.

I've used it before and it sucked, all it has is some stupid cube with no extra options. Also, the 6 desktops can come in handy when you have a 24/7 up-time laptop used as a work space and server for multiple things. If nothing else, you can show off a very aesthetically pleasing desktop to your friends, but aside from that, it helps anyways.

Hey I downloaded the program and enjoyed it.

But I had to shut my computer down. When I turned it back on it was gone. I had to re-install it any ideas on how to keep it form disappearing?

I have no idea why... that never happened to me before. Is it possible that you have your computer set so it resets the registry files on restart??

If that's not the problem, then I don't know why, because I've never had that happen.

This ran pretty smooth smooth. I have to admit, it did take up a bit more CPU than compiz.

But seriously, I don't like the feel of compiz's cube. I DO like a lot of it's other effects though, like the fire window minimizing, or the wabble windows.

I also like how you can turn the cube to a sphere or cylinder. lol

but I don't like the feel of the regular cube rotation itself.

I usually use Slackware anyways, TBH, I like it more than Ubuntu.

I had that untill i got this.

Yod'm was a 4 sided cube, it like no options and there wasn't anything special about it.

Cube Desktop looks sick and I like that you can show all your tabs with F9

yeah, they all have certain hotkeys... I think the cube was on F11 or F10, and carousel effect was F9. I can't remember, but yeah, they all have specific hotkeys, I would check, but I'm not on MY computer at the moment. =p

I try this cube desktop, is a good alternative than yod'm 3d and other, but, beryl, compiz and compiz-fusion are much better, i mean the best, 'cause has live previews in the cube, and the windows show it between desktops, is much more fluid, more effects. anyway i said is a good program fo WINDOWS

they probly have a patch on their site for it, but then they'll probly figure out it's cracked and they'll de-activate it or something.

you fail to point out that on cube desktop you cant have independent icons on each desktop, it's a bug they're working on.

It has a setting on there that allowes you to have different wallpapers and/or icons on each desktop. I dunno, I didn't mess with those options because I wanted them all the same...

well when they fix some of the major bugs i'll probably get it. using deskspace 3d now, it only has 4 desktops and 1 browsing mode, but allows independent icons, but you have to go and disable them one by one on each desktop, no easy convenient way to disable them all with one click.

which part is it that you say linux can't do? because so far i've seen all that in compiz fusion :)

even when new software comes out with same effects for windows, you should try linux and find out that system resources management for this kind of programs is way better in linux, windows will always get "heavy" with this things no matter how powerful your computer is
