  • Damn you Japanese people... How come you are always awesome? pqp...

  • Wonderful!

Bravo, Soichi Muraji and Brazilian Music!

  • Very good technique, but for the bossa nova its too aggressive and fast... Listen R. Dyens' A Felicidade, and that's bossa nova.

  • @kingofskateop

Obviously, the tempo is too fast and he knows it.

When we play at live broadcasting performance like here,

we have certain time limit to play. It happens very often especially on live broadcasting.

Also, it is true that the producer of this TV station giving this rising young star a little bit of pressure,

    but he made it somehow.

That going to be very good study for this young rising star guitar player.

I wish I could listen this song a little slower next time.

  • VERY, VERY GOOD!

    I LIKE IT!

    MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL!

  • Really well played.

  • Great upload. Thanks

  • What talent. He sounds like three guitars. He plays this great piece by A.C. Jobim with amazing dexterity. Personally, I would have loved to hear this just a little more adaggio - just because I love the composition and hang on it's beautiful chords. Arguably, he plays a more demanding speed.

    Bravissimo

  • amazing!!! Congratulations from Brazil, its too sad we dont have musicians as vinicius and tom jobin anymore. Thank you for carry it on.

  • what guitar is he using?

  • @crazycool1128

Im almost certain he's playing a De Giorgio from Brazil. A couple of times you can see the face of the head clearly and it has the very distinctive carving of the head face common to De Giorgio guitars..

  • @pianoplayeruk I just realized what guitar he's using..I think its a hauser, the headstock has 3 petals like a hauser instead of 5 like a Digiorgio. The "orange" colored tuning buttons(it's not a dirty old white button) is also typical of a hauser's tuner produced in his Reisbach workshop. The rosette is alternating layers of herringbone design like a hauser.

  • He has copied Baden Powell to the T. Good job!

  • Wow for such a talented guitarist, he sure missed a lot of things.

  • @benjaminaraica1 like...?

  • Amazing... Great talent!!!! Best rendition of that piece song so far...

  • It's just fascinating to see that such a young man is such an accomplished guitarist. Even if he falls into the stereotype of Asians who have a great technique, his musicality is beyond any doubt. Just like that of great Japanese traditional musicians, which requires not so much virtuosity as spirituality and the right "touch". And this is certainly what the music of Brazilian bossa nova composers and that of the genius Tom Jobim in particular requires, too. This young man has it all.

  • Parabéns ao Japonês de alma brasileira. Salve Japão, refúgio da Bossa Nova!

  • the best!!! great!!!

  • @ silphscope

Asian Ppl are great performers but not artists...

They are trained to play very technically but it's hard to find soul in their music.

  • good boy! good performance!

  • This guitar sounds better than that michael o'leary guitar from Ireland

  • Beautiful performance!

  • why all japanese that plays acustic guitar need to play so fast? this is not bossa nova =/

  • @silphscope The composer of this song, Vinicius de Moraes, played it fast himself. Baden Powell plays Bossa Nova tunes even faster than this player. Baden is Brazilian and he's a Bossa Nova musician himself! Who said all Bossa Nova should be slow?

  • i love Japan!!!

  • weno

  • OH my god!!!!i think have found what i was looking for !How old is this guy?i was just concluding that bossa nova was almost going to be extinct in th new generation. Thanks god

  • God, this is also a part of my program, and I wonder will I ever play it like this o.O xD

  • Can this even be considerd Bossanova? Shame

  • Lindo!!!

  • semplicemente incredibile .....

  • Great version of my arrangement of Felicidade, bravissimo Soichi !

Friendly and good luck in your music.

    Roland Dyens

    ;)

  • he's good, but it seems to lack joy.

  • great playing .....a favorite tune of mine

  • i find there is no spirit, sorry :(

  • @JKDallround He's AZN! They don't have souls or soul.

  • anybody know ...where is the music sheet for this song on the internet?

  • @guymootoo I have the music sheet, if you still want it send me a pm on the youtube channel with your email address.

  • muiii buena

    exelente muuiii bella

    piezaa

    felicidades

  • muito bommmm !!!!!! parabens!!!

  • This is a close as it gets as far as perfection is concerned.

  • beautiful!

  • @acorntechnique.... man there is no carving on this guitar's headstock, is only a headstock design simple without any decoration only a plate of rosewood or mahogany. the headstock design of the guitar was and is of Hauser guitars, Hermann Hauser the elder designed this headstock inspired by Torres. the Torres design is almost identical but have smaller dimensions ..... and the rosette is identical to Hauser guitar also the shape of the guitar so he is not playing a di giorgio factory guitar.

  • @acorntechnique the "distinctive carving of the head" is not di giorgio's, maybe they have it too, but is was distinctive of the luthier who "invented" it, Herman Hauser who was inspired by Antonio de Torres design. and I don't think he is using a di georgio (the rosette and the shape along with the headstock is Hauser's or the guitar may in fact be a Torres) he is an accomplished guitarist, he is not using a factory made guitar... anyway this is my opinion and I may be wrong.

  • I agree completely with you ! I owned a DiGiorgio (Author 3) too and you can not compare Di Giorgio with a real concert instrument like this guy is playing. The sound of this guitar is beautiful and loud and typical classical. Regards, Harry

  • this is the best, cleanest, and most captivating performance of this song I've seen yet... is there any video of dyens himself playing his own arrangement? =)

  • i give up on guitar...

  • impresionante!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is awesome!

  • Brilhante!!

    Grande interpretação,

De uma música ainda maior =]

  • oh my god.wow

  • The best peformed Felicidde I ever seen. 5 star

  • This man has his interpretation and it is pure genius. A master of his craft. Japanese have done Salsa, Vodka, Irish Whisky and the most reliable cars in the world. My respects.

  • that Bossa Nova, you twat. Get a life before posting such lame and ignorant statements.

  • My comment about Salsa was about this comment by edelgado1: "Japanese have done Salsa, Vodka, ... "

Iam Brasilian, i know its Bossa nova, and i love Tom Jobim, Vinicius de morais, Nara Leão, and all the good artists.

  • man this is great. i love this video. : )

  • Pretty skilled, the guy !

His song is VERY cool... It mixes the japanese way (fast and power) with the brazilian way (slow and soft)!! It go against the Bossa Nova way, but it is still very cool!

  • This is amazing !!

    Congratulations !!

  • Wonderful,meraviglioso!!!!

  • Domo arigato! Your version is really touching. Congratulations on grasping the joy and sadness this song has. And thank you once more!

Flawless technique BUT it lacks the brazilian soul and the bossa style...

Still, amazing version, refreshing at least.

    Regards from Argentina

  • Isso q eu quis dizer desde o começo!

    Thanks =)

  • simplesmente perfect!!!

  • que hijo de puta. (de onda)

  • fantastico

  • Soichi muraji!

  • Bravo. Bravissimo

  • ACJ Would be proud of that...

  • I met him some time ago and I believe he plays a Fleta

  • Top! Great! Phantastic! ...

Il y avait Baden Powel puis Rolland Dyens et now you, Merci beaucoup

    Lucien from Toulouse France

  • ragazzo prodigioso dotatissimo, attendiamo versione meno turbinosa, più cadenzata,

  • Fantastica interpretacion. Victor

  • Very beautiful!!!!!!!!!

  • Gilberto's voice was like a soft whisper, like a gently blowing breeze. Great technique, but much to loud and strong. Should be more like telling a secret.

  • pleasure to watch again, bravo !!!!!!!

  • Felicidades por una interpretación tan fabulosa.

  • Respect! Ten, I have said all I can! Well... brilliant too!! Sigh...

  • I think the guitar is a Hauser, the headstock is like a torres/hauser but the guitar is biger than a torres and rosette is hauser .....

  • man, I'm sorry you awful detractors, but I play and play fairly well and this is beautiful! Well done, bravo!!!!

  • Its good. but this peice is not loud that loud. the bass notes are way to loud. the peice says (sempre plp) which means to play with the flesh of the thumb. This makes it seem like the bass notes are from an upright bass. Its too mechanical

  • I guess with such a big audiece playing louder is just an instinct.

  • put some feel into into it relax and breath

  • I am brazilian, very good!, you play very well!

    VERY GOOD!

if you dont know what im saying take a moment to translate, ..... is spanish, you know.....

  • sounds good but vtaht is not bossa!

  • were can i find the sheet music anybody no

  • don't be negative only for be "japanese"

  • WOW!!! Extremely well played... A little too dry and robotish (well japanese) for my taste, but I'd like to have such impeccable technique. Excellent

  • i thought the barreios arrangements was fantastic but this changes it in sucha way... it is so beautiful yet mysterious - great job

  • Technically very good but the melody gets a bit buried in the excessive bass string plucking and the pace is a bit quick. This is a song with a strong melody which should take preference. Still, brilliant technique.

  • great!!!!

  • were do think i can get the sheet music and great job ilove this song i have to have it in my collection

  • I have powertab. Whats your email?

  • I have the score if u want

  • can u send me a copy or something

  • can you send me a copy in the mail

  • if you want the score I have it, send a private mesage with your e mail....

  • who composed the song on classical guitar

  • jochris27,

The song was composed by Jobim for piano, I am sure he transcribed this version.

  • It was arranged by Roland Dyens, it says in the information on the side.

  • this is a good musician with big talent. bravo!

  • great performance, but this is more classical than bossa. It doesn't capture the delicate bossa rhythm, very classical at the same time a lot of harmony similar to gershwin.

  • is because the arrement is by ronald dyens i recomend him you have to listen "fouco" :)

  • you are the japanese more brazilian that i already saw!!!!!!

    This music was very good!!!

    Congratulations from a brazilian musicien.

  • This piece really comes alive when it's played fast IMO.

  • wow tihis guy fuking rules i don't have words to this rally bracvooo
