@Solanf Well Spike is the only male character we get the most out of in FiM. And Spike is more like Twilight's little brother/assistant, rather than a pet. Big Mac only says "eyup" and all the other males are background ponies so you can't really compare FiM to this. Both are great in their own ways.

They're few in numbers and appearancers, but for what is given, FIM does well... now if only they would stop limiting the males' colors to mundane colors and bring up a dude pony in sparkly purple and turquoise hair with white stripes, that would be appreciated.

The first pony settlers to the islands arived at big pony rock, a rock feature jutting over the ocean, the settleres stayed in the caves there, while they searched for a place to "settle" Thoughout the series, thers only 1 case where magical ponies show up, and no one belives in them, unicorns pegasus, winged unicorns are considered a myth. So the ponies needed to grow with teck rather then magic in the other series.

ace is a jerkwad and instead of making a story about a girl trying to attract a jerkwad, they should have made one about girls trying to avoid jerkwads and the jerkwad changing into a nice guy.
They weren't trying to say muffins are bad for you, you just shouldn't eat gummy baked goods before exercising. It plugs you up and makes it hard to breath. Plus you might vomit.
This isn't teaching little girls to do that; it's pointing out a situation they find themselves in when they really like someone. They want 2 impress that person because they think they have to do something outrageous 2 get attention + affection. If n-ething, this episode points out that though Starlight wasn't attracting Ace @ first, she still stuck 2 her guns as the hardworking, persistent spirit that she is towards soccer. I think that passion is what attracted Ace in the end. LoL @ ur zsnap!

I dont think this is a bad message to girls actually, I mean it shows you that just because you change looks that wont do anything and also encourages girls to go off and actually find out what the guy the like likes and to try and do something new and bond with them. i really disliked the muffin comment in the beginning. let girls eat what they want, dont make little girls feel bad for eating muffins.
ace is a jerkwad and instead of making a story about a girl trying to attract a jerkwad, they should have made one about girls trying to avoid jerkwads and the jerkwad changing into a nice guy.

They weren't trying to say muffins are bad for you, you just shouldn't eat gummy baked goods before exercising. It plugs you up and makes it hard to breath. Plus you might vomit.

This isn't teaching little girls to do that; it's pointing out a situation they find themselves in when they really like someone. They want 2 impress that person because they think they have to do something outrageous 2 get attention + affection. If n-ething, this episode points out that though Starlight wasn't attracting Ace @ first, she still stuck 2 her guns as the hardworking, persistent spirit that she is towards soccer. I think that passion is what attracted Ace in the end. LoL @ ur zsnap!

I dont think this is a bad message to girls actually, I mean it shows you that just because you change looks that wont do anything and also encourages girls to go off and actually find out what the guy the like likes and to try and do something new and bond with them. The part about the muffin I think is just funny, and teaching a new word, a big one too, is pretty cool.

I used to love this show so much, but geez - this is a HORRIBLE message to send little girls! Don't be yourself, change for the guy you like! Don't eat muffins, they'll make you fat and out of shape! Jesus, I never realized it as a kid!
