Kirin is only easy if you don't use a weapon that guards. and even if you can dodge him that doesn't change the fact that kirin is not a easy kill he gives few openings and if you have a weapon out you might not even get it I am HR 6 in full Narga gear and have a hell of a time killing the High rank ones with a LS the thing is a pain. the guide is fine it's just that a guide, if it helps one person it was worth making it.

You kno thie thing u did with the bomb? Well i did sumthing waaaay funnier. I accidently placed a bomb down and he turned to charge. Then he was coming at the bomb and me so i whacked the bomb with ma hammer. Kirin and me went flying and he died. I was laughing so hard

kirin is super easy just dodge the attacks and a way to know what lightning its about to do is listen to its sounds, if its like a majestic one like u see on budweiser comercials its the circle one then ect.

The quest itself is actually random. Just keep doing other menial quests and if you have the right star requirement you should get it.

nah...khezu for example, is a very easy boss but still manages to piss me off when i start losing my patience or just screwing up once. He hits for alot so even one mistake costs you a mega potion or if your lucky a normal one (._0)

u should make a guide with a gs for the kirin cause those do alot of damage and the only spot they can hit is the horn every other spot itll bounce off it takes a while to kill it but its fun cause u knock it down like every 2/3 hit dependinng on the blade and if u do i recommend eternal erradicator

Yep, it might take some time though, I'd recommend getting Sanctioned Gunhammer if you can.

kirin is a pain in the ass cause of its speed and lightening is all around it when it stops, to be honest i dont sugest a hammer idk what to suggest on this though maybe a bow would work.

Thanks! Uh yeah you can definately bow him from the rock in area 6, but you have to be careful because his forward lightning can hit you. Don't use Hermituar S because the armor is weak to lightning. Tigrex is a better choice, but it is also weak to lightning. Try the Kut Ku bows, Kirin is weak to fire.

I dont think he is weak to any element actually but i suggest using a hunting horn as it has high raw with reasonable speed and its superpound is almost instantaneous...

I also suggest using high raw longswords but you should know "where" to hit so it would not bounce... the head and tail parts usually does not bounce....

scince this is a guide, i want to say that.. [For KIRIN first timers] the technique shown is effective (onslought XD).

(OTHER ALTERNATIVES)...

L.T. Bowgun or HVY bowgun, high atk with array lvls of SPREAD SHOT, Kirin horn seems to be attracted to the spread shot and youll notice blood will only come out in the HEAD.

I just don't know why, but everytime I hit it by it's side/back my weapon will bounce off, which forced me to use Death Stench armor, which has the ESP Skill. I used Twin Blades, Ceanataur DS, actually. I finally killed it after 30 minutes, and tried it with a bow, the Tigrex bow. It was so easy! When I bowed it it always seems to stand still, which is a good opportunity to use the bombs. ^.^

Lol thanks! Um yeah if you're bouncing its ok, Kirin needs at least Blue to be cut. Yeah its usually a bow or sleep bomb for most people, but I just wanted to show that hammers rock =P

I tried it with the Tigrex hammer- wow. Didn't take long. And I was using the Tigrex set as well- no decorations. (I take more damage against Kirin's lightning, but didn't matter)

Yeah, Blue guild guard is one of the few sets with carving celebrity. You can try using jewels but you'll need a ton of slots. you can try the black armor you get from using black stones and scales or something like that

ummm just so u no ive killed about 20 kirins and ive noticed that typically the lighting comes out only right in front of it and when it quickly brings down lightning its only 2 or 3 bolts in front of it. hope this helps!!!

I have as well and that that's happened to you makes your fortunate I've been hit from every angle left right front back by that move. As well as having seen a traveling bolt in front and having it shoot through the mountain in area 8 to hit me. The traveling bolt happened when kirin got stuck in the secret path in area 8 and I was pounding him in head with hammer

Kirin's weak to Raw Damage, like every monster is. Go for something like supremacy blade or devil slicer. Kirin is weak to Fire and Ice IIRC
