Hey! I have a question about your graphics because I have a dual-core laptop and my processor is a AMD A4-3300M APU with Radeon (tm) HD Graphics and I would like to know yours so I can see if it is compatible with my motherboard. This really helped but raise your voice next time.
@jorritje123 It's from FDC Live Copilot, but you can get the same result as well as Airbus callouts, with a utility called PMSOUND from Project Magenta. Google it.
Hey dude. Great video! I've just got my FSx and I'd like to ask you if the FSx autopilot really says the altitudes as the aircraft approachs the runway: one thousand, 500 hundred..etc. If it does so, it will be exciting, If doesn't how did you get the autopilot voice. Thank you.
Question: Do u know anything about Flight Pro Sim? I'm contenplating buying it...they're boasting great graphics and unbeatable realism. In a recent email from their Support Team, they said MS has stopped with improvements with FSX - know anything about it? How realistic can FSX get? When I simmed from CYYZ to KLAX i didnt find the scenery very realistic. Some airports that I've been to in real life, like Rome Int, for example, doesnt look anything like FSX. Any suggestions? Thx fellow Simmers!
Well you want to stay on VOR lock until the localizer as you no. But you dont put the APP button on until the pink dots. And if you are below the glide slope your autopilot altamiter will not go off which is what its supposed to do. but when that pink dot reaches your level your altamiter should automaticly turn off. If it doesnt then right before the dot gets to you turn it off manually
hey i love ils landings their so useful and really convenient and easy!
but sometimes it doesn't work...can anyone explain possible reason why it doesn't work?
obviously i make sure the runway has an ILS glide slope and all, get the frequancy, heading, put it in, etc but sometimes it doesn't catch the glide slope... why is this?
and which is more accurate for lining up the runway: ILS or GPS?
OK got ya. You showed how to set ILS in GPS, but how about setting it in the control panel in navigator... =] ? i tried a few times i got how it works but my plane keeps going right and left, and so on so i end up on grass or another plane...
you have to wait to intercept the glide slope. When in a 737 wait for the below glide slope light to go on or on the pfd wait for a little diamond near the altitude.
watch it first 30 seconds and try to understand yourself xD its like playing 2 different songs... come on, you should have mute the plane by pressing q or something..
Oh! you're right, as I mentioned I didn't intend to narrate this, I was going to use youtube's annotation feature, but that didn't work out, so added the narration soundtrack in it's place.
I thought you weren't supposed to use autobrake in a normal landing, it's for emergencies. Use reverse throttle + aerodynamic brakes (spoilers) to slow down the plane upon landing. Also, I didn't hear full flaps down, only heard them go to 20. Nice video by the way.
Your videos are good quality, but you have the same problem as Cessna154. You are not a realistic flyer. You are not interested in using realistic procedures, flying realistic aircraft, anything. You are the typical mainstream FSXer.
In what way. I fly with ATC and AI traffic, I would like to use VATSIM, but my setup (Family Room with Projector) doesn't permit that. Radar Contact handles the user aircraft more realistically than Default, but it has minimal interaction with FSX (RC in FS2004 didn't have this issue). So I find default ATC, modified with EditVoicepack along with AISmooth to be the best compromise. I fly real world flightplans taken from flightaware. and...
...except for this video and a couple of other video with GA aircraft, I don't fly default aircraft, although for the Airbus's a a few Boeings I use the Overland models, which are not complex models, but have better FDE's than default. I do use the more complex models (As seen in many other of my videos) like the LDS-767, the Cap't Sim 757 (w/panel merge of the LDS767) and the PMDG 744X, and I also just added the MD-11X as well. Maybe you can produce a video to show me what you mean???
When I auto land, especially on my 777, it brings me to fast makes my plane slam the nosewheel first. and Should i keep A/T on or manually control it?
When you autoland, you should follow the glide slope until 50ft, disengage AP and flare manually, also remeber to turn your A/T off and control your speed manually aswell, this is so you dont have to start messing about trying to turn it off after you hit the TDZ =]
Yeah I know, I didn't intend to narrate it, (I'm not really that good at that) I was going to use Youtube's annotation feature, but that didn't work out too well, so I went back into Moviemaker and added the narration script. I trned the video sound down to the minimum setting, but it still ended up louder than I wanted it to be.
Tf51d how do you get the engine sounds on the default 737 so realsitc? It sounds alot different than what i have.

@fevsy If you are landing at an airport at 0 MSL you should be at 2000 when u try to catch the glide scope
GazzerHST 1 year ago
@fevsy you must be below the glide slope to start out with then click the aproach hold button
