  • I always loved playing the B sides. Lots of real undiscovered gems there. Thanks for this one!

  • @panamasrose

You're welcome, It's one of my favourites.

  • this was the "B" side of the original 45 of "This Time"......I had it back in the day. This is not the original cut but IS the same song.

  • @toddwindyhill

I didn't know there was another version by Troy, I'd like to hear it, my knowledge of the song is hearing it on the original 45 on the Jukebox. It sure sounds like the one I remember.

  • @barrygioportmorien1: I had......amd MAY still have......the Liberty label 45.....There are a couple of other duplicates, but they were of less quality and were not the 3M seller; thus the difference. See Phunkyjunction"s Liberty version.

"In April 1961, he recorded "This Time". The record was released during the last week in June on the tiny Gaye label. It was picked up by the small Los Angeles Goldcrest label, and sold ten thousand copies during the first week."

I checked out the Phunkyjunction version, now i remember it, that's the one I heard first, I got my copy off a vinyl Album of various hits, of many years ago. I'll have both copies now. Thanks for the info.
