I challenge people so in awe of mere men to get out your bible and read the whole bible start in Genesis and don't stop till the end of Revelation and don't leave out one word. NO WHERE in the bible does it say tithe to a preacher. Tithing is to go to the needy. As farmers tithed 10% of there crops and allowed the needy to get the crops themselves for their consumption and not THE PASTORS consumption. The word of God is FREE. I see no reason to pay somebody to tell you. most of that money should go to the needy and not in the form of cash. When Jesus stopped giving the crowds what they wanted they yelled crucify him. They wanted a King to deliver them from cruel Roman rulers but their hearts were never surrendered to him they just wanted what Jesus could give them. The Prosperity Gospel is wrong because it is based on getting things more than getting God. We come to God to be saved from the our sins and to be saved from the wrath to come.

However, Love doesn't tell people they should be shot if they are too poor to pay tithes. 1 Leviticus Law out of 613 before Jesus died & said Paid in Full then he ushered in his New Covenant of Grace. Dollar made an error on his shooting non-tithers and calling them crooks. Gentiles were not in Covenant with God under the Old Covenant we got in under Grace threw Faith in Jesus (Unmerited Favor).

Job was very wealthy and so was Abraham. Both of these people loved God. Lazarus and the rich man. In this case the rich man went to hell, and the poor man went to hell. You can be poor and be the cause of poverty. However, you can be rich and be one of the biggest causes of poverty in the world. Stealing from the poor. @craziewill well the Gospel is being redeemed from sin, by faith in Jesus Christ. the redemption process includes being born again by the Holy Spirit, you actually have a new spirit/nature. a nature that hates sin and loves God and people and righteousness. before i knew Christ i made a lot of bad dicisions that created a miserable life. 35 yrs ago i dicided to try Jesus. in process of time my new desires and dicisions have led be to be prosperous. succesful in every area of my life.

I didn't mean to attack average people who honorably earn their wages and tithe to the local church...those people are godly. I was however attacking Christians who aren't content with what they have and believe that it is God's duty to give us money.

If he loved God more then he wouldn't use the money people give him in Christ to buy a decadent mansion. No one needs a mansion when there are so many without homes. If he loved God more then he wouldn't have accepted a Rolls-Royce as a gift from senior members of his church. He'd say take that money and give it to the poor. True followers preach repentance & mirroring Christ so that more souls can be brought to Him and we can glorify Him. That's fruit. Not riches. Matthew 10:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25. Not once have I said that having money is bad, it's apparent that you are saying the same thing. They don't realize the power money has over people.
