This, of course, started out as a vocal/guitar demo and was overdubbed after his death. I actually prefer this version as opposed to the "unplugged" version
You should hear the 1962 version of British country singer Karl Denver, re-released 2008 on a Vocalion album Wimoweh / Karl Denver, sorry it even puts the great Williams in the shade cu
This has got to be one of the greatest songs Hank Williams, Sr. ever sang. Man, he was feeling those blues...Through tears I watch young lovers....man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
really you think so?? this one has alot of power behind his words. Its no long gone lonesome blues but i wouldnt say its even close to being the worst..
A modern record player playing modern 78 rpm disc records. I want to play these records in a 1917 Victrola, the sound will be excellent in comparison with acoustically recorded 78s from that era.
aahhh vinyl such a wonderful creation!! the sound...ORIGINAL!!!

This is the first time I've heard a Hank Williams 78 (but not the first time I've heard a robin weep)!
The difference in sound is noticable even on this video!

Hank Williams sound the best on 78, I personally don't think the CDs can really create the atmousphere at all compaired to the 78s.
Its the way Hank is Supposed to sound
