I just felt like I should let you know your version and feeling to this song REALLY touched me. My grandmother (who means the WORLD to me) is getting older and talks more and more about her funeral and how she wants me to sing at it for her; I used this version of my favorite song as a base to learn and grow off of and I played the piano and sang for her as an 81st birthday surprise in front of a crowd of people. I cried while I played and my grandma told me she had never been so proud.

This song reminds me so much of my great-grandparents who passed away two years ago. They were married for 68 years. My great-grandfather passed away on October 25 at the age of 92. My great-grandmother (who had severe Alzheimers) passed away exactly 5 days later at the age of 93. I had taken a picture just a months before and I snapped it as soon as she said (while looking up at him) "I'd follow you anywhere" and she did exactly that.
Dear GavinMikhail, you really made me cry listening to this. Your voice, the way you sing it as if you really mean it. I have recently lost my aunt because of cancer. I was very close to her since I was small. Listening to this makes me very emotional and memories of me and her keep replaying in my mind. I loved her so much. I still do. This song was chosen for a theater play my best friend plays in. it's romeo and juliet and it's played in the last scene, where both of them are already dead. it is beautiful for that.

Hey Gavin, one of my friends, at school, killed himself yesterday. He was 17 and was one of the happiest kids i know. I have decided that as a tribute to his family and to all of us that were close to him or even knew him I would make a video of your song. I chose it because it captures the feeling of the mood the school was in today. There were no classes because people couldn't control their crying, including myself. My color guard is doing this for our show this year. Our director played it for us today, and we turned all the lights off when he played it. i lost my best friend at 13 in a war, i heard this song, and im balling and smiling remembering his voice all the time, and fumy how i was in a catholic school with him and the nuns use to hit us, and 1 day she told georgy and i the same sentence fear is the heart of love. i didnt care at that time, this is just perfect the way you sing it is perfect. thank you for bringing back the amazing memories.

I love this song. Its probably my favorite ever since my boyfriend told me to listen to it. Its reminded me of my dear pets, who I miss so much. They are still alive, but so far away from me. I get emotional whenever the lyrics "there's nothing to cry about, cause we'll hold each other soon" play, I always start crying.

I fell in love with this version when my husband (fiance' at the time. We married last Sunday.) deployed. He often leaves for random periods of time because he is a pilot, and this time is no different. I sit alone again, remembering through your incredible voice that I'm with him, if not physically, than my spirit and heart follows him wherever he may be. This song reminds me so much of my great-grandparents who passed away two years ago. They were married for 68 years. My great-grandfather passed away on October 25 at the age of 92. My great-grandmother (who had severe Alzheimers) passed away exactly 5 days later at the age of 93. I had taken a picture just a months before and I snapped it as soon as she said (while looking up at him) "I'd follow you anywhere" and she did exactly that.

Dear GavinMikhail, you really made me cry listening to this. Your voice, the way you sing it as if you really mean it. I have recently lost my aunt because of cancer. I was very close to her since I was small. Listening to this makes me very emotional and memories of me and her keep replaying in my mind. I loved her so much. I still do. Hope she's somewhere better now :,)

Although I can't say it changed my everyday life drastically (as it has for yours), it was the first time I'd dealt with that. And, yeah... it's a strange experience, isn't it? Ever since then, it's become more and more clear to me that... we aren't here all that long, and we'd all better make the most of it.
