Thanks for your great uploads . Could YOU upload the following if possible: Geography Matsanga, Pamelo(Diatho Lukoki), Balenge(Tp ok); Ndayalunga Nakasika(Tp ok jazz). These were great hits and would love to listen to these online
Mbongo, l'argent, money... Jo Mpoyi Kanyinda, Manseba repose en paix.
"MBONGO, MONEY who created you"Money"? MONEY you are maker and destroyer of everything. What an amazing experience, I went to a witchdoctor to ask for a charm to make money, but alas, the witchdoctor again asked me for MONEY- the very thing I was looking for! Whoever created you MONEY, who is your mother? I heard one day from the elders when they were discussing about you MONEY, they said your mother gave birth to two of you. You MONEY are the elder child and your sibling is called "WOMAN". Oh
What is this song about? any little translation would help. Unlock the mystery of the lyrics for those of us that are captivated by the music and voice but dont know the meaning. Thanks
And the dancing on stage? his footwork was equally skillful and rhythmic......gentle, mature, professional, focused, towering, man what else? Djo....RIP.
This is what we call good music. Djo mpoyi is gone but this song will continue to rejoice us. one thing congolese musicians should know is that there is no succes without successor!
Quite a piece of Poetry. The words were wonderfully put together and sang by one of the greatest voices of all time, the late Djo Mpoyi.I enjoy listening to this in heavy traffic and I am reminded of Home Kenya.
guys Djoy mpoy is asking money where it comes from, who is the mother and why it is making blood brothers turn against each other. very educative lyrics!!!
I have no words to express the feeling,I just wonder if we will ever have an assembly of musicians each with unique character in-put of this magnitude. And looking at what is happening in Zaire right now, my soul is tearful......violence, hunger, homelessness, name it.The troops and rebels alike should listen to these tunes. Use guitars instead of guns!
Amen to your words, Sir. The rest of us from Kenya and other places always looked to Zaire(Congo) for the best music, but now all that is gone, and all we have is...nothing! The amount of suffering Congo has gone through over the last decade is just unspeakable, and unfortunately, when Congo bleeds, we all do - Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, all of Africa!
SO SWEET! A masterpiece of the mighty OK Jazz & Franco Lwambo, always the best.

I've often listened to this song. Never understood the words, but it had a melancholic feel that touched my soul. About money... .
