My tinter gave me pen head sized bubbles, a hair stuck behind the film, and he didn't wipe the tint down at all after completion. There was dried solution everywhere.

Yes, you can open ur window. I opened mine 1 hour after i got tint. You dont want to do it if its 40F outside, but if it 75F up then its all good if it been done profesionaly

at the very top of the back window there are those little black dots, i just had my window done but the tint isn't sticking well and it looks bad at the top of the window. Will this go away over a few days?
@olds7980 chances are its not gonna go away.. the dot matrix always messes with the tint.. it never sticks. very well.. if u have like a fusion or a cobalt they have like a 6 inch wide dot matrix line.. in which case the tint should have been glued .. if its like peeling off u can put some clear elmers glue on the matrix and stick the tint to it and squeegee it out and itll look a lil better .. they should have done that to begin with..but if u look around.. they all look bad

I got all my windows tinted on my 2010 vehicle it cost $195. I was told not to open my windows for 5 days and when I open the windows the first time to open them all they way.
i use computercut and have next to nothing in waste. with computercut you can add flames and all kinds of graphic, logos, or what ever to your cars glass...
why isn't he using computer cut !? sometimes it's faster hand cutting the film. there's a downside with computer cut. if you don't know what you're doing, you can crumble up the tint. the cutter requires you to adjust the pressure of the cut because window films can be thick or thin. you can tell by feeling it. it has to be precise so you can peel off the extra liner when tinting. i don't know. if you have a computer cut plotter then you know what I'm talking about.
I have roll down windows, and my tint (on inside of the window, gets caught when rolling down, and ideas on how to fix? Its been 4 days (weather between 40 - 70) and my window tint still gets caught!

Nice video. The service I received was almost perfect. The only thing I didn't like was that they did not clean my rear window, I now have a dirty spot with drops. I was also told to use Ammonia FREE Windex, I did, I clean the window with a old t-shirt and it scratched the damn film. Total GAYNESS.

Goto a tintshop and have them sell you some film, most shops have 40", 60" wide rolls. Plus you get better film in most cases than you would at Walmart/Pepboys. You can also shop on ebay for a pre-cut kit. Most of the time when people try this, they give up and goto a shop lol....
i went to umm pepboys, walmart and advanced auto parts..evryone have tints..but my 2010 camry's rear window is 32" in length..but alllllllllllll the tints i saw come in 24"..i was sad =(
No cutting on the car you say? You were cutting when you did the back window.
Computer cutting is nothing but a sales pitch just like the lifetime warranty. The truth is nothing lasts forever, not even window film. And when it comes to fitting the film each car is slightly different so its you get a more custome fit when you manually cut the film. You can also use marking pens instead of cutting on the car.

You don't have to use a blue max on final install. Its all about the hardness of the squeegee not the name. Not to say blue max isn't awesome. Use soft or smoothee squeegees for prep and use hard squeegees for install. Simple and logical.
i live in Michigan, and the law for the front side windows is that only the top 4inches of the window can be tinted.....does law enforcement really car about the front windows being done like that?.....or mainly on the percent of tint?, the rest of the windows can be as dark as you want it, but just the front windows are restricted to the 4inch mark on the window on top..

Computer cutting allows for about 90% proper fitment. Computer cutting is strictly for volume to make the install quicker..
Precision auto glass tinting has to be hand cut. There are always slight variances in production fit and finish - How the door tracks, window gasket fitment, etc.
the only point this installer is making is he uses the Computer Cut system for the Benzos and does the bombs by hand.The fact is hand cut works better on high end shaved edge installs...and the computer cut for the sh*t boxs to save time and tint film.

The brighter the sun the darker the windows.
At night it clears up leaving just a slight tint.

There's alot of computer cuts that do come
out good, but ther's alot of them that come
out too long on the sides and bottom of roll-
up windows, these are better to hand cut and
use the computer cuts for the back windows
and quater windows even though sometimes
You have to color in the light gaps with black

Goto a tintshop and have them sell you some film, most shops have 40", 60" wide rolls. Plus you get better film in most cases than you would at Walmart/Pepboys. You can also shop on ebay for a pre-cut kit. Most of the time when people try this, they give up and goto a shop lol....

i went to umm pepboys, walmart and advanced auto parts..evryone have tints..but my 2010 camry's rear window is 32" in length..but alllllllllllll the tints i saw come in 24"..i was sad =(

Google pre-cut tints. It might be more expensive but you can order tints to match any windows perfectly.

No cutting on the car you say? You were cutting when you did the back window.
Computer cutting is nothing but a sales pitch just like the lifetime warranty. The truth is nothing lasts forever, not even window film. And when it comes to fitting the film each car is slightly different so its you get a more custome fit when you manually cut the film. You can also use marking pens instead of cutting on the car.

I saw some window tint at a store...is it a good idea to do it myself? or would it be better for me to take it to a shop to do it? Also, after u put the tint on...is it possible to get it off? I have a 1996 pontiac firebird.

You don't have to use a blue max on final install. Its all about the hardness of the squeegee not the name. Not to say blue max isn't awesome. Use soft or smoothee squeegees for prep and use hard squeegees for install. Simple and logical.

i live in Michigan, and the law for the front side windows is that only the top 4inches of the window can be tinted.....does law enforcement really car about the front windows being done like that?.....or mainly on the percent of tint?, the rest of the windows can be as dark as you want it, but just the front windows are restricted to the 4inch mark on the window on top..

He was a cheap dime bag marijuana dealer in 1981 & somehow he thinks all women are whores & he sends us, his brothers, hate-filled text messages & emails calling our Wives & kids whores & "soft pussies". I wish he was the brother that died in 2006 instead of the one who always was there for him, paying his way & supplies for tinting in 1991 (which is when he REALLY started tinting)

okay, first he was bein all B.A. about the pre cut tint, i didnt see it pre cut anything. he cut all the tint that went on the mercedes..but it looked like a ford fusion to me. stupid. this guy needs to quit actin like it just the hardest job in the world, hes all worried about scratcin the car, but hes bangin that squeegie everywhere.

Computer cutting allows for about 90% proper fitment. Computer cutting is strictly for volume to make the install quicker..
Precision auto glass tinting has to be hand cut. There are always slight variances in production fit and finish - How the door tracks, window gasket fitment, etc.

the only point this installer is making is he uses the Computer Cut system for the Benzos and does the bombs by hand.The fact is hand cut works better on high end shaved edge installs...and the computer cut for the sh*t boxs to save time and tint film.

They all worked for him at Lightning Mikes and he sold the company. Mike started sunstoppers 2 years ago and now has 7 locations. He is the man.
