@lasoogneypubes your obviously a dumbass. if your going to make a statement, make it right, and Raptors arn't obsessed with drafting foreign players, they draft good players.
@lasoogneypubes obviously u dont know much about basketball... so you're sayin camby, t-mac, c.bosh, vince carter, derozan, ed davis, bargagni and valanciunas are shitty players then? damn ive never laughed that hard. youll see toronto is able to reach the playoffs in 1-2 years like they nearly did with bosh.
@Shwayze024 NBA ball is more athletic, but not more physical. Get a clue. You CAN hand check, there's a lot of contact, especially around the basket whereas in the NBA you touch superstar ape and get a whistle. And let's not forget the absurd defensive 3 seconds to fuck over any kind of defense from penetration, loosen up the game so you senseless idiots like you think the game is hard, because they run and dunk half the time. smh
@Shwayze024 Yeah because LeBron dunking over defenseless pussies who can't touch him is GOIN HARD. NBA ball is hard, but only one way. GTFO ignorant little shit. Euro ball is SLOW, but not soft. Amateur, smh.
@Shwayze024 ,you miss. ask everyone american player who play in europe. europe basketball is real game then players play ith heart . nba basketball is parody then audience eat hamburgers and watch only show
@qyxzz I was just watching some Euro games and yeah NBA is more competitive. take for example Sonny Wheems: On the Raptors he was not even the 3rd option. Over in Europe he is the leading scorer on his team. I also notice that they shoot alot more, and are often more open. What I do like however, is the fundamental game they play. NBA players are FAR more atheletic...as such they perhaps would out jump you for a rebound instead of boxing out. NBA is by far more competitive.
@poeticmind74 They play to give a good show in the NBA, there's 'winning' in the equation just because nobody's gonna watch a losing team without any stars. They play to WIN the Euroleague, the local 'ship, anywhere they play. There's passion.
If the Euroleague would be flexed to be an open fast game (handchecks, def 3 secs), the game would evolve to be a similiar one to the NBA. The best players are there simply because the whole infrastructure is different, and better.
@poeticmind74 Well, there's passion in both leagues, but money is LESS of a factor in Europe. That's why American players are often times a gamble, they are cheaper than a local player of the same caliber, because of motivational reasons. As I said, because of the money circulating in the NBA it is almost getting close to 'wrestling' - real athletes, fake competition. The well-developed marketing and all that is a double edged sword. Today's NBA is a joke compared to the past.
@poeticmind74 That said, the NBA is superior to the Euroleague in pretty much everything ranging from training and living conditions to the players themselves. Whatever dumb Euro lifts our league above the NBA is just a troll. It's commercial, but everything else is on another level as well.
@IggyBernotas Hmmm, well he will be in the east. So he will get KG,DH,CB,JS, and a bunch of other proven NBA players. To say nobody will be able to stop him...dude come on...don't be stupid. The last time I checked he's no Hakeem.
@poeticmind74 yeah cause he is going to be way better than hakeem theres really nobody who can stop him once he matures and keeps getting better his attitude and mindset are really good too something that not many people have he will get even better and before you know it he will be dominating the nba and taking names
@IggyBernotas From me to you...we know only time will tell. I am a Raptor fan and a Torontonian...so hell yeah, I hope he dominates. We sure hell need a good center.
@IggyBernotas Hey, I am a Raptor fan...I think he will be a good fit for this team. But he's going have some trouble against NBA big boys. By the way, he will do well, but he won't dominate...so yeah he will be guarded by a bigger nigga.
@poeticmind74 hes young and hes got all the tools to dominate he will beat down on anybody who tries to beat him but its gonna take a little time to adjust of course but he is already on his way
@WarPig971 Jop. Kol kas pagal savo amžių jis man top 1 ir to užtenka.
kyrie who? fuck all the haters, this kids gonna take the NBA by storm when he gets started, for once i can actually say the raptors management did a good job!
@stevechen1991 marc gasol; zaza pachulia; marco bellineli; memo okur; benno udrih; omri casspi; hedo turkoglu; danilo gallinari; ben gordon; andrea bargniani; goran dragic; tony parker; marcin gortat; luol deng; ersan ilyasova these are either starters or role players with impact on their team... so kid check some stats before talking bs.... all from europe
@nixdaduda11 yee but andrea barghani was 1st pick,he suppose to be All star by now.im saying this man will be bust not cuz hes shit its cuz hes drafted 5th i dont think he live up to the hype,probably same goes to Rubio.im not hating on euro players,i can say Yi JianLian is a bust too at 6th pick
@stevechen1991 yes but you can say that for a lot of players in this years draft i mean 4th tristan t.... i dont know about that guy..... or that guy from the kongo forgot his name i think he was 7or8th pick.... so its not about guys from overseas its just a bad draftclass... at least it looks like that .
There is only one MJ in 10000 North Americans. And BTW u know better than NBA scouts. :) Can't wait to see u in a GM chair one day. Now go and eat some rice Chen, i bet when u will grow up u will be like Yao.
@LTfan4ever we will see,drafting this man is a huge fail.raptors GM is stupid,they already have so many big man why draft this guy who hasent play any american ball.they had Kemba walker and brandon knight on the board.Raptors has a history of drafting international players,none of them turn out good!!aurojo was huge bust,barghani is fuckin shit for 1st pick and this man aint much better!
dont be overexcited, he played in EUROLEAGUE and his team did not so well, so stop everyone push this kid with NBA. He still have long way to go. But at this championship he was the credit.
I'M saying everybody so exited to see him in NBA as soon as possible, but in lithuanian league and in euroleague he did not so well.Do you comparing U-19 over NBA ? So I just saying he needs some time, do not push him like stupid raptors fans do and everything will be ok.
@yoyomatto i respect lithuania im a proud serb the best may win but you serb catholic are the last one who should show up anywhere caus being a catholic serb is a disgrace and a faillure you always loose and even today 80-79 so please you dont speak anymore
Think again. Lots of examples you are wrong, especially for the word "always". F.e. remember last year - WC -Lithuania won the game for the 3rd place... By the way Lithuania...
jonas remind me of a young kevin garnett good motor and intensity on defense and goes strong on offense not afraid of contact. will help raptors in rebound and defense department and will draw fouls and get to free throw line..bargnani should bennefit cause now he can play pf more on perimiter where hes more comfortable and jonas can attack the boards and play physical
he dominated a 7'3 guy from serbia, a 7'1 280 pound guy from poland and a 7'4 340 pound guy from canada...granted their games ain't that good/at a very high level... but he certainly faced size in the tournament
wrong question talking about a 19yo's potencial. I ask this - would he do same against...Kentucky...He PLAY IN EUROLEAGE (and thats second best league in the world) against big grown up man while senior in high school last year. He done well in 15min p/g. He should play about same amount on LT national this summer. And then Euroleague again this time as a starter. Then he will go to NBA around 20-30pounds muscle more heavy with more experience at age of 20...I expect 12 and 9 his rookie season
So what do you call not soft??? Player with 22+ points, 10+rebounds or 9+ assists. Tony parker was 2007 finals MVP, if not Pau Gasol Kobe wouldn''t been reached 5rings, if not Turkoglu big shots in 2009 playoffs and regular season Magic maybe wouldn't been played in finals. In NBA are less European players than Americans(afro) and europeans are often giving big impact for NBA teams. AND I THINK THAT VALANCIUNAS WILL BE ONE OF THOSE EUROPEAN STARS WHO WILL GIVE IMPACT.
this guy has bust written all over him. an unathletic weak big man from lieuteva posting up weaker unathletic big men. unless your a shooting big man like dirk or bargnani i dont think you have much chance for success in the nba. the defense is horrible and this guy barely gets off the ground with his turn around floaters. imagine dwight, joakim, or even stoudemire going up against him. every shot = swat to the 10th row
@lethalzaza noah came out of collage as Senior still took him about 2 year to get his ass in gear now he is one of the best centers in the leauge give your head a shke you know notheing about baseket ball and stat wouldnt swat shit
@lethalzaza ok but joakim was known as a good defender and that carried on. this guy has question marks all over the damn place. he cant even speak any english how will that help with communicating on defense?? and if this guy is a low post player he better gain about 40-50 lbs to even try and compete with the big men in the nba.
@lethalzaza u will see, he will destroy other nba players,there is a reason why he was picked 5th and he would of been picked higher if not his contract, clearly u know nothing about basketball

ya he's really good against 170 pound serbian low post defenders... They don't even offer any resistance at all when he backs them down
cfowler3939 7 months ago
@cfowler3939
he dominated a 7'3 guy from serbia, a 7'1 280 pound guy from poland and a 7'4 340 pound guy from canada...granted their games ain't that good/at a very high level... but he certainly faced size in the tournament

@cfowler3939
fyi, #12 for serbia is the 7'3 guy

He looks good against Serbians....can he do the same on Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett ect ect??

wrong question talking about a 19yo's potencial.

@utube793 garnet is 35 you idiot. He is a prospect. Give him a few years to bulk up. Remember it took maleno a while to become one of the best.

@1PunchKO100 malone. sorry fat fingers.
1PunchKO100 7 months ago
@1PunchKO100 European players are soft and weak...nuff said.
utube793 7 months ago
@utube793 you are going to eat a cheese of my dick sir when he becomes top 5 C in the NBA
1PunchKO100 7 months ago
@utube793
Say that for Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Tony Parker, Linas Kleiza, Turkoglu and others
Tevas3000 7 months ago
@Tevas3000 your joking right...everyone you mentioned (except for dirk) is labeeled soft. Know your basketball son.
utube793 7 months ago
@utube793
Tevas3000 7 months ago
@Tevas3000 lol did you just boost Hedo??? LOLOL
utube793 7 months ago
@utube793 American players tough and strong but stupid, European not so strong but smart!

this guy has bust written all over him. an unathletic weak big man from lieuteva posting up weaker unathletic big men. unless your a shooting big man like dirk or bargnani i dont think you have much chance for success in the nba. the defense is horrible and this guy barely gets off the ground with his turn around floaters. imagine dwight, joakim, or even stoudemire going up against him. every shot = swat to the 10th row
lethalzaza 7 months ago
@lethalzaza noah came out of collage as Senior still took him about 2 year to get his ass in gear now he is one of the best centers in the leauge give your head a shke you know notheing about baseket ball and stat wouldnt swat shit
treyday07 7 months ago
@lethalzaza ok but joakim was known as a good defender and that carried on. this guy has question marks all over the damn place. he cant even speak any english how will that help with communicating on defense?? and if this guy is a low post player he better gain about 40-50 lbs to even try and compete with the big men in the nba.
lethalzaza 7 months ago
@lethalzaza u will see, he will destroy other nba players,there is a reason why he was picked 5th and he would of been picked higher if not his contract, clearly u know nothing about basketball
gggman15 6 months ago
if he bulks up i think he can be pretty effective in the nba
