This is pretty bad. I heard rumors that Ron Paul was affiliated with white supremacists and white supremacy groups but I tried to ignore it, until I decided to look at some of these allegations that had been going around on YouTube.
I was considering voting for Ron Paul but after doing some research on the web (not just YouTube), and finding out that he's received donations from Don Black and the John Birch Society, I'm going to have to think long and hard before making that decision.

This is pretty bad. I heard rumors that Ron Paul was affiliated with white supremacists and white supremacy groups but I tried to ignore it, until I decided to look at some of these allegations that had been going around on YouTube.
I was considering voting for Ron Paul but after doing some research on the web (not just YouTube), and finding out that he's received donations from Don Black and the John Birch Society, I'm going to have to think long and hard before making that decision.

Do you have any material that is about Ron Paul himself or is it all about what some supporters have done in the past? Someone wrote a newsletter. Someone was/is a racist. And I doubt Ron Paul can control every single person in his campaign and life. I doubt you could do the same.

Whoever wrote the newsletters was paid by Ron Paul, who now claims that he has no idea who wrote them or what was being written in his name. That makes him one incompetent publisher.
So according to Ron Paul himself, he can't even publish a monthly newsletter without fucking it up. That's not the sort of candidate that voters are looking for.

Ron is running a grass roots campaign, you cannot expect him to background check every volunteer. I doubt even the FBI has enough available resources to tackle that task!

Of course it isn't. He wants to repeal the Civil Rights Act and give racist business owners the freedom and individual liberty to oppress and segregate customers, just like pre-1964.

You really have to twist the facts or be terrible with comprehension to conclude that Ron Paul is a racist. Just because racists support Ron Paul, it doesn't mean that he himself is a racist. Only if it were the other way around, which it is not. You have to go back to your logic courses for this.
If racists support Ron Paul, does not mean Ron Paul supports racists. It's completely illogical.
And it's the racists that have misconstrued Paul's stances that have caused them to support him.

Google for who wrote ron paul letters and find the link to Reason's articles. There are facts which shows that Paul has no aversion to racism as long as it does not come against his political agenda.

Bigotry is not the same as freedom and equality. I would vote against affirmative action if I had the chance, even if I were black. I'm Hispanic, and I don't think we deserve separate rights either. Americans are Americans, nothing more.

Affirmative action got a lot of Latinos into colleges & universities they had been locked out of. You need to thank Afirm Act & all the Blacks that fought for all of our rights in the 60's. You benefited from it too. We fought for all. Instead of signing away our heritage "White" - non hispanic or "white" - hispanic (WTF) to get into white schools. Google "Lemon Grove California school integration Mexican americans". Ceasar Chavez had the guts to stand up & fight instead of claiming white.

No, actually I don't need to thank affirmative action. I know exactly what the causes and effects of affirmative action are, and they do not stand for the true American ideal. Harping on how Blacks fought for civil rights is simply astonishing, commemoration should not be praised if it impairs others from their happiness. The entire base of your claim that I should "thank" someone is completely beyond me, and beyond the people of America.

Everyone should be valued equally, people should have been treated the same yesterday, should be treated the same today. I have no problems with holidays that celebrate race and heritage; it's the national holidays that force us to recognize that equality doesn't really exist in this nation that bother me. Our modern American society supports segregation only because we've dubbed it "equal opportunity."

In what sense do you believe that people are forgetting history? It's jammed into our heads every day. History is beyond the past, sir, you've yet to understand that. True equality was supposed to be the goal, but racism is too heavy in some hearts--that's why people feel affected. Maybe the KKK supports Paul because of inequalities of our modern government, affirmative action gives Black people a greater advantage.
Don't even get me started on "hate" crimes.

For me personally, it's easy to critisize his followers because it's difficult to take anyone who can rationalize his newsletters and his accepting money from white supremists seriously. Who wants a president that doesn't think it's important to read what is being written in his name? I would not support a candidate who called New York City "Hymie Town" either. I'm not Jewish.
