I got tired of playing WoW, its all so repetitive and I grew sick of doing everything over and over again on my various toons. I quit a month ago to pursue GW2 when it comes out. Although it isn't out yet and won't be for a few more months probably it will still be much better and more fun. :D

I've played WoW since Vanilla and I always will like it no matter what, but maybe I'll give GW2 a try, the graphics are good but I don't care about little things like graphics, I care more about gameplay and WoW has always had a solid gameplay, do I think this will kill WoW? No, I just think it might put it into some competition, but if it ends up like swtor or Rift, then whatever. I'm really only interested in WoW lore though, so maybe I'll give it a try, but WoW will always be #1 to me.

@HeroicFlamingo Risk Your Life had a great gameplay... Sad this game is dead. But i never saw a game like that, its not point and click game, u atack with mouse. melee classes used to atack everything in front of it, u had to get closer to the target.. archers had to aim, aswell as mages... i miss that.
@HeroicFlamingo the only way i can think of to make this game better is to make you aim with your ranged shots, that would be more challenging, but the game looks sick...
@chaoseus your kidding. theres no way to manually control movement with wasd or similar? How is he selecting abilities with the mouse while moving then?
@chaoseus except that its not at all, and its really action based because of things like active dodging, moving while casting, abilities not requiring targets to cast, etc. i doubt anyone would be using the mouse to do anything except for rotating camera and targeted aoe. you might as well call skyrim point and click

@Centrophy Aaaargh don't degrade GW2 combat to WoW =/. GW2 at least tries to change it into a more dynamic and exciting experience (you can dodge, use all skills while moving etc). In WoW you just stand still and spam 1 skill (frost bolt) or use rotations. In GW2 you have to use proper timing and make combo's with other professions.
WoW died a long time ago >.>, actually RPG's in general are a dying race, due to natures course of humans being competitive, MoBA's are the fastest growing game style. Not hating, i can't fucking wait for GW2 and D3, just letting all you die-hard arguers know, None of you are winning the argument.

@speedrazor15 theres no skill in wow.... having 40 odd slots for ll ur spells allows all spam and no orrigionality.having limited slots allows for players to interact and share their oppinion on what skills to use for certain circumstances. there is more skill to GW than WoW ask anybody who plays both, even a WoW fan boy will agree that GW is more about skill. that sets noobs from experts and that is on of the things WoW is Missing.... @speedrazor15 Most all MMO's have been a failure due to their crappy combat system, choppy graphics, and just overall poor gameplay experience. This is where WoW excels. Its combat system just 'feels right,' there are no choppy animations and everything just goes well together. WoW lacks any remotely decent questing system, PvE has become retard friendly (thus, too easy) while GW2 is built with a new scaling difficulty system. I've played WoW for 6 years and am eagerly looking forward to GW2.
@speedrazor15 The difference between GW2 and other MMO's is that they are waiting to release it when it is perfect unlike most MMO's. This game also has much more benefits that WoW doesn't have. For example: Teleporting to places, no monthly fee's, etc. They also had GW1, so they know what to add and what not to add.

@HeroicFlamingo Risk Your Life had a great gameplay... Sad this game is dead. But i never saw a game like that, its not point and click game, u atack with mouse. melee classes used to atack everything in front of it, u had to get closer to the target.. archers had to aim, aswell as mages... i miss that.

@chaoseus except that its not at all, and its really action based because of things like active dodging, moving while casting, abilities not requiring targets to cast, etc. i doubt anyone would be using the mouse to do anything except for rotating camera and targeted aoe. you might as well call skyrim point and click

Why must people compare this to WoW, GW2 isn't aimed at WoW fans, it's aimed at GW fans, and Anet is completely open to having people play GW2 along with other MMO's at the same time. Don't compare these two, there really isn't too much they have in common.

They don't have alot common because ArenaNet is revolutionizing the mmoprg just as WoW did when it first came out. They have stripped WoW of all its faults, discluded them in WoW and more.

@xqSoccer No, it shouldn't be compared to WoW because it's a sequel. There are millions of GW fans, do you think Arena Net is aiming to please the newcomers from WoW or are they trying to aim it towards the fans of their original game. GW2 should be compared to GW1 and GW1 alone.

@Ditched66 I agree but, the goal for all these type of MMO's is to bring joy and excitement to the gamers. WoW has set its mark in history as one of the best MMO's and I be happy to say that, I used to play, But, there is a time when Wow must stop, because it's really starting to get just awful and people compare Wow to other MMO's because of the fact that it's a hard obstacle to go above and beyond that type of expectation......to my point of view anyways:)

I can see that GW2 fans, WoW fans, and SWTOR fans, clearly argue with eachother. Well why? it's they because they play one specific game, and when somebody claims to have a better option or a better game, Fans often go ragemode because it is insulting to something that they stand for. Example: A game. In my opinion, People should enjoy what they enjoy and not shit talk about others enjoyments. It's a waste of time. and its useless. Im not hating on WoW, but ive played WoW for 4 years and i strongly believe this game will be much better. If you enjoy WoW go ahead, i dont care. If you enjoy GW(2) go ahead, i dont care. I know what im playing though!

@Centrophy Aaaargh don't degrade GW2 combat to WoW =/. GW2 at least tries to change it into a more dynamic and exciting experience (you can dodge, use all skills while moving etc). In WoW you just stand still and spam 1 skill (frost bolt) or use rotations. In GW2 you have to use proper timing and make combo's with other professions.

@speedrazor15 theres no skill in wow.... having 40 odd slots for ll ur spells allows all spam and no orrigionality.having limited slots allows for players to interact and share their oppinion on what skills to use for certain circumstances. there is more skill to GW than WoW ask anybody who plays both, even a WoW fan boy will agree that GW is more about skill. that sets noobs from experts and that is on of the things WoW is Missing.... @speedrazor15 Most all MMO's have been a failure due to their crappy combat system, choppy graphics, and just overall poor gameplay experience. This is where WoW excels. Its combat system just 'feels right,' there are no choppy animations and everything just goes well together. WoW lacks any remotely decent questing system, PvE has become retard friendly (thus, too easy) while GW2 is built with a new scaling difficulty system. I've played WoW for 6 years and am eagerly looking forward to GW2.

@speedrazor15 The difference between GW2 and other MMO's is that they are waiting to release it when it is perfect unlike most MMO's. This game also has much more benefits that WoW doesn't have. For example: Teleporting to places, no monthly fee's, etc. They also had GW1, so they know what to add and what not to add.
