  • You gave it too much pitch, too quick. I'm 12, and what I've noticed is that that is something young people like me have a hard time with. I learned the concept of, when you blades are spinning at 100% rpm, you can move your left stick much slower. Just keep doing what you are doing, and slow down your pitch control:)

  • That's really good in two months wow keep flying how much did it cost to fix? Looks like only the blades was damage?

  • Wow, for the speed at which that thing hit the ground, it looks like it made out really well!

  • if you look you lost your canopy i struck your blade

  • it sound like your tail was hunting after hard manuvers great flying just giving you a littel advice keep up the good work

  • Flights reversed with 2 months of practice? Just started flying in loops and inverted hovers at 9 months, and lots of practice simulator ...... oh.

  • Ah, it's just a dent

  • That's the joy of helis the reson that you crashed is cos you did stop worrying and just get flying

  • I would say u went positive instead of negative when you were upside down seen it done many of times

  • Never Mind! ;)

  • ok if you didnt screw up,itwas servo failure.that really screws ya=/.otherwise nice flyin.

  • practice 3d with a good flight simulator. :)

  • Just so you know... real helicopters pull UP on the collective for power. Not down like you said.

  • I had an "almost" same experience three weeks ago, my tail rudder wasn't sounding right, but still I pushed going inverted and as I was exiting the maneuver, I lost control of the heli. It turned out that the screws which was holding the tail assembly got loose which made the belt tension slack so the belt was jumping off the gear. I had to repair the heli by replacing the main blades, feathering shaft, mainshaft, tail shaft, esc (point of impact was on the side where I placed the esc) & canopy.

  • did you control your servos after crash? i think elevator servo is locked.

  • @trequal

    You have sharp eyes!

That was the first time I broke a tail servo... turned out to be one costy repair...

  • It looks like something is flying to the right just before it starts decending into the crash.

  • I have crashed something like that once; so i think that you just lost orientation (pilot error) its OK its part of learning but do not do it once more :)

just reduce the gyro gain to avoid the tail from over correcting.

    thanks for sharing.

  • @Nader703

Thank you for your encouragement :)

I am getting a bit better... but will need much more continuous practice to become a better pilot~

  • Upside down flying is to difficult for you

  • Hi,

would give me please your settings and hardware?

  • More head speed (idle up95%) less Giro Gain.

Loved the sound of the dry crispy leaves!!!!!!!!!

  • been flying for 2 months and you're doing flips already??? wow... any sim time as well?

  • That looked like a really hard crash but when looked at it on the ground did not look so bad. Yeah you lost your blades I know your the shafts were bent but all else looked ok. Your tail boom looked OK Canopy looked fine Frame looked fine. It was good fly untill that point. Have great days

  • Hello.. I'm brazilian, and I'd like know what happened with your helicopter? thank's.

  • @ricardoaborges

    Hello~

Thanks for dropping me this message. I wasn't sure why my 450 stalled like that, but it's most likely my pilot error... >.<'

  • basically the tail didnt hold as you came into the tail slide. why? the gain settings could be wrong on the gyro, backwards flying at high speed can cause the tail to screw out if the gain is not high enough. that is what it looks like happened here.

  • ha i know --get your basics smoother and more confident before 3-d nose in stuff.fly like yer really in the copter and you will die if you crash -works evry time ! and the cp sucks and aint the same.

  • At 2:29 into the video it looked like something went flying off the heli ( to the right of the screen ) , is what probably caused your crash ? , any parts missing you didn't find right next to the crash site / or parts missing you did't find at all ? , i'de say whatever you lost came off in flight, nice flying though for 2 months , cheers.

  • @Krashulka agreed, from 2:27-2:30 you can see something dropping on the right side of the screen. May have lost a tail blade?

  • it go zewm then kaput

  • i can see something flying off and fluttering down as it is pirouetting like mad

  • I meant leaf was falling

  • Nothing came off all the blades are the after the crash even the paddles are there I think that thing falling is a large or something. Looks like when you went sideways the heli lost all lift as it should you just didn't correct for it in time

  • wow really 2 months? nice work!

  • so if the stick is like real heli ,,why not do forward flight and scalefly ,,makes sense invert the stick like pull collective on real heli

  • Seems to me lack of head speed and stalled. To me it doesn't look like anything came apart. More head speed better reaction time. Just a guess

  • Ouu, I'm going to buy this tomorrow or later. I have fear.

  • Maybe it dropped because you are flying with reverse throttle and forgot ... pushing forward on the throttle thinking it was gain power to pull out of the stall but in reality the helicopter wend down. You can hear the motor rpm drop

  • Its simple, when you went nose up, it stalled, resulting in the crash.

  • Dendog - I would check for damaged insulation in the servo wires as I had something similar once that I eventually realized was due to a bare wire picking up EMF from the motor casing. If that happens to a CCPM servo then you'll get sudden plunges into oblivion.

  • hmm didnt look like it was damaged that bad

  • how much did it cost to repair the heli?

  • yea something came off before it hit the ground.

  • Never fly if something doesnt sound right.

  • It looks like at least one of the two main blades separated while or just before you went inverted. The slo-mo helped me realize this... that is if you haven't already noticed it. So sorry to see 3 helis grounded... I only own 3 helis currently and one is grounded for an indefinite time... that sucks! We want fly-time not bench-time!

  • Even chrashes can be cool, and yours is fantastic! :-)

At least you flied in 3D mode dude! ;-)

    great work anyway! ^_^

    5 stars

  • hi Flap..

Thanks a lot for your words of comfort...

The bird is now almost flyable again. I am hoping for better weather so I can go out and practice more.. :)

  • don't forget rc simulator! =P
