If I were to recommend anything, it would be Karin Slaughter's first four books called Blind sighted, Kisscut, A Faint Cold Fear, and Indelible. Great mystery books, kind of graphic but amazing books.

Wow, I wasn't expecting to have read so many. A third were due to school assignments; but the rest were the result of a home-schooled bookworm with too much time on his hands. My favorites were 'Jane Eyre' and 'Pride and Prejudice' or anything by Austen and the Brontes, really.

This gay boy was apparently waiting for a brooding, British gentleman of means to awkwardly come to terms with his love for me.

Have you read any Ian Mcewan books? they aren't classics like most of your list, however I would highly recomend them, especially child in time, cement garden and amsterdam. However if you are easily upset don't read them as the themes can be quite disturbing.
