Not at all. It's a Mesa/Boogie Quad going directly into a Line 6 Toneport UX2. The settings are as follows:
Volume: 10*
Treble: 10*
Bass: 0*
Middle: 0*
Master: 7
Lead Drive: 2
Lead Master: 10*
This is all on the Lead 2 channel, and the * means that the knob is pulled out. I've got the output on 10, adjusting the volume on my computer. On the Toneport, I'm using the 2x12 2001 Line 6 cab model, no amp model, and I recorded the whole shebang using good old Adobe Audition 1.5.
Haha, thanks, but I thought yours was fine. I just wish you'd have recorded it direct, as it usually sounds a bit dull when it's recorded through a webcam mic or similar.
I do my video and audio separately, and then synchronize the two in Windows Movie Maker. The program's a bit crap, but it's the only one I know of.
I run the guitar into my Mesa Quad preamp, which goes to the Line 6 Toneport UX2, and then into the computer. Means that I don't have to worry about disturbing the neighbors. :)
Great tone AND playing, dude. Mind sharing the settings you used to get that kinda tone?

that is fantastic, but I'm a bit disappointed to find your fretboard to be unscalloped ;)

Ah, I don't think I'd dare to do something that extreme to my darling Ruokangas, so I must disappoint those who expect it due to my moniker. :o
Thanks for checking out the vid.
