I was just reading his book about this exact show. Steven said that he was backstage when Joe came off and he said "Come on Joe, I want to sing 'Walk This Way' with you." And Joe says, while pointing to his German lead singer "Ok, you and [[What's His Name]] will do verse on verse off." And Steven wanted it to be just him so he walks out here, and Joe automatically has to follow and they are back and talking. Lol, sweet story.

All of these guys make music a life transcending experience. Thank you everything.

@GalaxyRover1020 Every Aerosmith concert I've been to in recent years has sold out. Don't think ticket sales is a problem ... even at premium prices. While I love the guys individually and don't begrudge them solo projects, there's just nothing like the group of them together that is Aerosmith!
I feel the sum is greater than it's parts - especially with Aerosmith. That spark takes all of its members, Brad, Tom, Joey, Joe and Steven. Without all together it's just not enough. Don't forget all are equal contributors to this incredible essence that we have enjoyed for 40 years. We have been spoiled by such remarkable sound that now nothing can ever surpass. Have you read Walk This Way. I've been a fan since I was 15, I've seen them in concert 9 times (everytime they came to a city close enough). Steven's behavior onstage/offstage lately is erratic. Not the Steven I've known and loved since 1990. If he has relapsed, please someone reach out and help him. Aerosmtih is my favorite band ever! We've gone this long without a plane crash, don't want him to wind up the train wreck. I can't do a thing, but if you know him & can, please help.
They haven't really released anything halfway decent in about 16 years, but I'm glad he's not quitting. I still have some hope that my favorite band as a kid can dish out something good again. Get a Grip was the first cd I ever bought. I was late on switching from cassette due to my crappy boom-box.
There's way too many people using camera's & cell phones during concerts, it ruins the atmosphere.

I was at this concert with my mom, about 10 feet away from the stage, and when Steven Tyler came out and said "New York! I want you to know I'm not leaving Aerosmith!", I, in fact, DID start to cry. The crowd, only a few hundred people, went CRAZY!!! I was about 10 feet away from the stage and even I couldn't understand everything they said, because of the crowd!! BEST SHOW EVER...so glad I was there...long live AEROSMITH!!!!!

Sounds like it to me. I wish I could too.Saw the JJP in St.Pete last saturday they rocked. If Aerosmith does get back together they need to quit playing late 80's and 90's crap and become a ROCK BAND again .

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! The sound may not be the best, but those words coming out of Steven's mouth made my day--maybe even my year. I couldn't agree more with gowire2000--the sum IS greater than its parts. I love ^A^ but they just aren't ^A^ without out all 5. Maybe the reason they aren't selling tickets is because nobody knows what good music is anymore. Yes, I'm old school (and only in my 30's.) If ^A^ comes back to my area, you can find me in the front row (again)!

Did it occur to anyone that in recent yrs. Aerosmith hasn't been able to sell tickets to large venues on their own or on pkg. tours as evidenced by the sparsely attended Aero / ZZ Top tour which was cancelled becuase of Tyler's "injury". lol
This is Aero promo, nothing more.
Them trying (and suceeding) to "create" a buzz.
They shot their load yrs. ago IMO.

@GalaxyRover1020 Every Aerosmith concert I've been to in recent years has sold out. Don't think ticket sales is a problem ... even at premium prices. While I love the guys individually and don't begrudge them solo projects, there's just nothing like the group of them together that is Aerosmith!

Which says something as it's one of NJ's largest venues.

I feel the sum is greater than it's parts - especially with Aerosmith. That spark takes all of its members, Brad, Tom, Joey, Joe and Steven. Without all together it's just not enough. Don't forget all are equal contributors to this incredible essence that we have enjoyed for 40 years. We have been spoiled by such remarkable sound that now nothing can ever surpass. Its a synchronicity. Egos are impermanent. Music is ever lasting. Please don't take it away with temporary anger.

Steven company is not the band anymore. Obviously. Steven has been isolated and used. He had good company and was kicking ass for a long time. Now he is just off the hook with himself. All of these people have people around them. Some ask for and get it straight, others get the "emporer has a rainbow..."

No I think the problem is that Joe told the press that Steven was quitting the band and it pissed Steven off enough to embarrass Joe publicly.Joe has done 4 other solo projects and it was never a problem.Joe got just what he deserved.

You really don't know what you're talking about. Steven has been a thorn in the bands side for quite sometime. Why don't you try reading the recent interviews out there by Joe Perry and Brad Whitford backing it up? Steven now wants to do his projects because Joe decided to do his. As I said, Steven can't handle Joe doing something else without him. Latest headline by Perry states Aerosmith will not wait for Steven Tyler. They're persuing other singers. Deal with it, sweets....

Have you read Walk This Way. I've been a fan since I was 15, I've seen them in concert 9 times (everytime they came to a city close enough). Steven's behavior onstage/offstage lately is erratic. Not the Steven I've known and loved since 1990. If he has relapsed, please someone reach out and help him. Aerosmtih is my favorite band ever! We've gone this long without a plane crash, don't want him to wind up the train wreck. I can't do a thing, but if you know him & can, please help.

They haven't really released anything halfway decent in about 16 years, but I'm glad he's not quitting. I still have some hope that my favorite band as a kid can dish out something good again. Get a Grip was the first cd I ever bought. I was late on switching from cassette due to my crappy boom-box.

(ps. I realise the irony in complaining about this on a youtube video that is the result of somebody bringing a camera into a concert, but I stand by my comment ;-)

I was at this concert with my mom, about 10 feet away from the stage, and when Steven Tyler came out and said "New York! I want you to know I'm not leaving Aerosmith!", I, in fact, DID start to cry. No joke! best moment of my LIFE.

I dunno man, Steve looked a little intoxicated to me. It seemed fairly out of character for a guy who has been in the game 40 years to dis a fellow band mate on stage like that. Joe kept it together well, but don't get too excited yet folks. This could still very well be the beginning of the end.

I hate it when people bring their cameras to live events. It's like trying to photograph your own wedding. It's supposed to be the most special day of your life and not some trivial event to be taken lightly. I also don't like this music, I'm more into post-Jazz. I remember having a coffee this morning. Joe has been saying now that he was surprised by Steven's appearence and said
"Being an acquaintance of 40 years, I said, 'Why not?'" Perry said. " So he came up and sang and that was the last I saw of him."
Joe's telling Rolling Stone that they'll still be looking for a new singer. Joe says Steve wants to rest for two years. This is confusing! I think we'll have to wait for a while because the way I see it, the toxic twins got to work things out.

Funny thing is I was at the show thinking...yeah I wish it were the 70's...60's when shows mattered..bands mattered....the place was relatively empty, maybe 250 people.....I was about to leave when Dude looks Like a Lady hits the stage...made the show mean something again Lol....

I WAS THERE LAST NIGHT!!! It was the best night of my life. Everyone talking about how Steven Tyler has left the band, and then he comes out to surprise us. The crowd, only a few hundred people, went CRAZY!!! I was about 10 feet away from the stage and even I couldn't understand everything they said, because of the crowd!! BEST SHOW EVER...so glad I was there...long live AEROSMITH!!!!!

In the United States, a person may record a concert and keep it for their personal use and they may distribute it, but they may not sell it or otherwise profit from it (for example, by playing back such a recording for a group of paying guests).
