Yep, Malenko had a long title reign. Actually, he had 2, the first one lasted from March 2000 to April 2000 (when he lost it to Scotty Too Hotty) and the second one lasted from April 2000 (when he regained it from Scotty) to March 2001.

It's not surprising that he had such a long reign, though, since at the time WWE was using all of its Light Heavyweights in other title divisions, especially the Tag Title division (Christian, The Hardys, Kaientai, X-Pac, Crash...)
