Masters degree in Museum Studies and unemployed - just about sums up what these qualifications are worth. Please don't think the next step is to try for a PhD. If you want money then research what is paying: healthcare and technology would be high up there.
Ulimately businesses want good, relevant skills and experience; not a ton of diplomas.
Maybe you have to accept you made the wrong career choice.
