This is EXACTLY what i was looking for! :) I'm lithuanian but i live in UK,my dad is russian and my mom is lithuanian. my mom told me to learn russian so that i could show my dad how much i respect his language but i don't really like russian (no offence) but I <3 Bulgarian! Thank you! This is AMAZING!
Im a bulgarian and i dont know why you learning this people not on Cyrillic alphabet and why you talking so sloooowwww...its like you explain it to morons.
@SpitFireSF This is the first video of a series, our other videos contain the cyrillic version of the words. It is slow because people who speak english are not used to the slavic sounds and like it when they can listen slowly, you shouldn't call them morons. It is just a normal process. Thanks for your comment.
@girwillexplodeonyou Yeah, at the beginning it is difficult to spell the words correclty. Listen carefully to the video and you will understand the sounds more and more and become able to spell them correctly.
I want to work in Bulgaria and Run a Hotel - Yes, I am Eastern European (Polish) but live in Britain and run a Hotel in Either Sunny Beach (Slanchev Briag) or Nessebar. Really hope I do really well
I'm from Denmark and I speak English very well. But I find Bulgarian mush easier.. Also easier than German which is pretty close to the Danish language. But the bulgarian letters I think is gonna be a challenge!(:
Actually, slavic languages still hold aproximately 70-80% of their lexical fund intact, but many changes occur in semantics of these words.
But if you find a simple table of the most typical phonetic changes, which happened in each slavic language, you cannot learn all of the slavic languages at once, but it really could be helpful to understand - when reading - if niot listening to - the most of that group of languages,
BULGARIAN LANGUAGE is the only slavic language WITHOUT INFLECTED SYSTEM

Please if anyone is fluent in both Bulgarian & English... I would love some help. I've got the alphabet, and writing the alphabet, and pronunciation all down... all I need to know now is the grammar and etc. If anyone can help me plz msg. It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks that was one of the best tutorial sights. You went slowly and broke the words down. Many times native speaks go so fast that the non natives end up getting lost.
hey i was wondering i'm going to bulgaria soon for the first time so will i need to learn a fair amount of bulgarian? or does everyone speak english there? thanks
@dpattiris If you know russian you should be able to reckognize words in Serbian, Macedonian, Bulgarian, Slovenian, Polish, Chech, Slovakian, Ukranian and Bellarussian since they are all slavic languages and are very simmilar.
@goncasmiguel Hey im bulgarian.. And by the way its the best country.. Go in the summer to Sunny Beach.. The beach is sick and Hits up to 40 degrees there. Its like boiling hot.
This is really great! I was trying to teach myself some bulgarian online but was having problems due to a huge lack of resources. But it is a beautiful language. I am from the US but have a good friend in bulgaria who I am visiting. Thanks for the lessons : ]]]
@dpattiris Along with learnbulgarian's reply, the words are similar because they are all Slavic languages. Just like Romanian, French, Spanish, and Italian are similar because they are all Romance languages. I recognize many words from what I have studied of Croatian as well. Still, they are very different.
The languages are not that familiar. A lot of Bulgarians speak russian because of the past times... But of course its possible that some words are similar, since both languages are slavic.
