  • ThanX

  • gracias por este video judith

  • McFly on keyboard rocks!

  • The Cars in The R&R Hall OF Fame in 2012 or Else!!!!

  • Hands down my favorite video with Ben....those lips make me forget my middle name and social security number......miss you ben!

  • The Cars were the perfect and brilliant juxtaposition of Rock and New Wave and achieved what few bands who trail blaze achieve.....commercial and artistic success. Just leave Heartbeat City out of the mix.

  • And as usual, Elliot: with that perfectly concise, yet raw guitar solo. They were a great band but they certainly would have lacked that rocker edge without him. First two records were perfect, they wouldn't have needed to do another thing in my books.

  • In 1978 i was in the 6th grade and i was so happy when i bought this album candy-o great album, great band !!they were the band that started New Wave!!

i was so in love with Ben too!!

  • Ben's beautiful voice was just the icing on the yummy, delicious cake!

  • How can they NOT be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Their early albums especially were perfectly little gems. They were very original and influential, and their music is still fresh today.

  • OMG DAMN @ 0:33 . 1:41 but 2:09 is seriously HOT! the famous SEXY BEN Pout....He always works it....that and the sexy glares and eyes HELP!! ha ha and @ 1:59 double trouble: pout and those eyes !!

Ben and Elliott 2gether are double trouble:))))

thank you yuffenough...i have been their fan 4eva

  • Ric Ocasek, the biggest adam's apple in rock.....

  • A buddy played this song at work and some of the..ahem.. YOUNGER ones there freaked out wanting to know who this new band was... I love it.. Sometimes I think my generation may have had the best music ever.. The Cars were my personal favorite - their debut record (it's a vinyl disc with grooves on it) rates as one of the best recordings ever - IMHO..

  • @terracer

was just reading that they recorded on some special mixing board, in england no less. not many bands record their debut at some hot sh*t studio. )

  • @terracer I know i wore grooves into the grooves on that lp:)

  • 2 people for the bus!!!!

  • Forget Ric and the rest of the song--I'm hung up on 0:34!! SOOOO FREAKIN' HOT!

  • @FarmChica Ha Ha Me tooo...sooooo HOTTTT!

  • The Cars Rule!

and the organist plays with a flow that makes everybody groove, no matter what country you're from.

  • Love Ric's glasses!

  • Ben was the perfection !!!!!!!

  • Ben looks like a male Debra Harry...so beautiful!

  • Towards the end...those last 3 synth bars are always chilling.

  • @Hot80s ha, so true. even after all these years.

  • man i miss the 80s best cars song ever still gives me goose bumps

  • @wolfdog1959 that song dangerous type is actually from June 1979, its off Candyo album 1979

  • i never knew greg hawkes was also a maraca maestro! so multi-talented. less cowbell, more maraca's! see at 0:36

  • I kept watching these Cars videos because (1) they are fkn awesome. (2) Ben Orr was so fkn hot...Elliot is cute too...super talented band...

  • Such a cool video. They had to nail this live in one take and they sure did. Ballsy.

  • We miss you Ben!

  • I love The CARs, but I'm glad I don't look like Rick...

  • hawkes looks like the kid from little giants..lmao

  • I remember driving from NYC up to Hartford Ct to see them in '85 and feeling disappointed with them. 26 years later I realize I really miss'em.

  • tonight--shes a Polish Jew

  • @dicarlo57 ...she's alot like Jew lol

  • I dont think the drums and the song are going together

  • @Rick31797 Drums usually look a little out of sync.

  • Had Rik not sung this a little differently, I would have thought it was a studio recording/lip-synced. Perfect performance. Or is it a different version?

  • Such an incredibly cool band...

  • Benjamin was such a hottie!!

  • Great song. Love Ben's pout. He has such kissable delicious lips.

  • You can clearly see that Ben wanted to be the lead singer here !! He looks bored out of his mind just to sing back up vocals !!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is freakin' awesome! Thanks for sharing=-)

  • Candy-O is one of the all-time great rock and roll records.

  • Greg's such a cute little nerd! lol! Love Ben's pout :)

  • @AllMixedUp312 Greg always reminded me of young Wormzer on the original " Revenge of the Nerds" film.

  • This was such a GREAT band! Still sounds every bit as good as it ever did, if not better=)

  • La musique de ce groupe aurait pu être composée aujourd'hui. Elle est toujours pertinente et toujours actuelle. Bravo Rick & Co.

  • yeah, 0:34...mmm Ben was the best!

  • @ladybluluv he's mine beesh! just keepin it real

  • Ever see Ocasek's wife? He did okay with that goofy look and a lot of damn talent.

  • Got that right! He worked his look damn well and he seems like a cool guy. OMG Ben's pouty mouth at 0:34 is vintage awesomeness. Timeless band (to me anyway :)

  • paused it....have seen it before but you are right....awesome !

  • @julieswahn Ben makes the best pouty faces evah...

  • @julieswahn OMG I have been wondering when I'd see someone else who LOVES BEN's sexy pout; ohhh he is dangerous typeO___o gotta adore him...I would have done anything to see him XD

  • these guys were one of the best bands in the 80`s.....goofy or melted faces they made great music you dont hear today, i like the cars and will allways listen to them...........they were very unique

  • the dude on the keyboard looks like the guy whose face melted off in Poltergeist

  • He also looks like Martin Short from SCTV

  • @TheLate70s as well as a grown-up Wormzer, from the original Revenge Of The Nerds film.

  • Man Rick Ocasek is a goofy lookin dude

  • WOW !! Thanks yuffenough. I just love this song. I haven't seen this video for atleast 25 years. Very cool. These were the days indeed, musically speaking. The bands of the day were so experimentive and original.
