Uhm, I have grown and still grow nearly all my organic food via permaculture and methods used in "One Straw Revolution." I was merely trying to be helpful, you are the one that slammed me with a hateful letter. Have a nice day, Happy Holidays, and a jouyous, healthy and prosperous new year.
well, lots of communication is about resolving misunderstandings, so the clearing out is all welcome.. like you say, about the work, this also is shown to some extent in -garbage warrior-. do you have expeirience with earthships? what attracts you to this kind of creating of homes
it costs space (sustainable housing for 6billion?), transportation of materials.. lots of costs, but once it's placed, the support of such an earth ship gives for basic human needs, is great: no need for electricity and water infrastructure, controll over the own environment and life and so less dependence on selfish concurrence/profit driven companies for support, the ability to become more aware of the processes of growing food, of working together with the forces of nature and so on ...
I reread what you wrote, it still doesn't come across the way you say above, but I am glad we cleared this up. Have a joyous, prosperous and healthy new year. Cheers!
I have been planning to build a house of my own lately and I only want to build with recyled material. But I do not know very much about how to do so. I have learned about tyre ramming and can walls, but I do not know about the electrical, plumbing, water recycling, and other things like this. Is there somewhere I can find out about these things?
This is really cool to see that all of you see this as a good idea. There is a documentary made that explains even further why we need to start implementing these type of houses into our lifestyles, it is called Zeitgeist: Addendum, you can just google it.
I did my part, the next person who watches it, please further the message on to others, so we can all move onto a more sustainable future as a whole.
A lovely home! thanks for showing us 'ggjohn303' Dow Corning have made radical improvements to the float glass manufacturing process. you can now buy it in sub-milimetre thickness. so thin it is flexible. They can advise on optical grade lamination adhesives.(car windscreens use it) Lets see lovely large curved glass windows. Acoustic-Refrigeration (See Ben & Jerry Ice Cream) could perhaps capture dew-point water? turning this gravel pit into a lush green oasis. That'd make a few folk notice!;?D
1000 sq ft home with half acre lot that uses no electricity. Morons pay electric bills. Smart people dont have electric bills but still have electricity.
Think how much most people pay in electric bills over their lifetime. Electricity also goes up ever so many years so you pay more for using the same amount of electricity.
The house also comes fully furnished.
For the price over all across most of America thats a good deal for what you are getting.
He doesnt give you the price because he is afraid it will scare off potential customers. He thinks if he gets you out there he is more likely to make the sale.
The price is on the website that I link to in the information. I encourage you to visit it for the price and other information and still pictures that are not on the video. I have no desire to keep it secret.
well if he says a price then it puts a limit on his profit potential, hes prolly hoping to sucker in a wealthy client who makes an incredibly high offer

Who needs money if you can grow all the best organic food for yourself, and if you're enough of a genius to fix up any junk you get a hold of to make anything you want? In the desert, energy is also free.
well, the concept of earthship is truly amazing, but why would anyone want to live in a desert? it's such a depressing landscape to look at....

Well, you should read, "One Straw Revolution" and stop gardening the hard way. Learn about Permaculture and open your mind up. :)

if you want a house like the ones shown, go to earthsip website. They say it's only 10,000 dollars down and they finance the rest...

You should gather up the methane from the poo and the urine. That way you could skip the propanegas and save some extra bucks!!

This is exactly the model for responsible sustainable living in terms of ones living space. Good job who ever thought of this concept and built it.

wow the ratio of morons to intellects on youtube is going down the drain.

but the drain leads to the planter in the living room where the plants filter out impurities... then on to the toilet and so on.

Maybe he is just not that concerned with money. You know, you could always just ask him how much it is nicely.
like this:
Nice house! I want to build a similar house. How much did it cost you all up?
Thanks, Jeremy.
