  • happy new year everyone

  • Wow, it's nice to see that this old song is still being sung the way it was meant to be.....thanks for posting!

  • This is what I was looking for, The Old rendition of Auld Lang Syne with pictures of Old Friends gone past. To remember the ones that have come and gone or living. Nice.........

  • this is the way this song should be sung imo, by a group of older men. it gives it that drunken pub feeling that this song should have, without crossing the line into brutish. it's obviously sung by professionals but still.

  • beautiful tune to enjoy with a glass of scotch , thank you for posting.

  • Great rendition..

  • But it wasn't written by Robert Burns.

  • @olishant

its history is a lot more complicated than I thought

  • @ChristmasMusicForAll

True, it does have a rather complicated history. At any rate, this is a quality video for a great song. Cheers.

  • @olishant It wasn't written by Burns BUT would it still be sung if he hadn't heard it, wrote the words, extended and augmented it and, finally, got it published? OK? I reckon it's time Burns' detractors extracted their heads from their A'rseholes!!

  • thanks for having the only worthwhile aund lang syne video on youtube

  • @supremedracula this is actually true

  • @supremedracula I agree with you after viewing 50 some U-Tubes

  • Happy New Years from New Kent Virginia! May the new year treat you well!

  • Very emotional.

  • Beautiful :-)

  • not too many of these left...

    love!!!

  • Beautiful. I love this!

  • This is so gorgeous!

  • Can somebody tell me who performs this song?

  • Must be the Robert Shaw Chorale.

  • robert shaw oversaw this rendition. Indeed it's probably the Robert Shaw Chorale singing it. The CD from which I got this track is pictured in the beginning of the video.

  • Auld Lang Syne 、過ぎ去った日、思い出、蛍の光

  • This song was written by a Freemason. So it would be no surprise to me that Auld Lang Syne was also one.

  • @StratWolf

Auld Lang Syne - Written by Robert Burns

  • I really like this song. But who is Auld lang syne is he a person?

  • It's gaelic for 'Times Gone By'

  • Thnx

  • no its not

  • @BadReligion4Eva

Nop Auld Lang Syne may be translated into English literally as "old long since"

  • where´s the lyrics????

  • For lyrics click on (more info) to the right of the video.
