Cool knife but for $400 and up, you might as well buy a pistol for EDC. I rather have a pistol on me than an knife, just my preference because when shit hits the fan bullets are better than blades.
@Temperdgrump Thanks for the comment, but I didn't realize this was a 'one-or-the-other' situation - why not have both? I carry a wallet every day too and it doesn't prevent me from carrying keys.
Besides, chances are you would use a knife every day, but if you have to use your pistol every day and you're a regular guy, you're probably likely to want a knife anyway.
@customtacticals True. It's just my opinion. Don't get me wrong its a super cool knife and built well but price range is a bit steep I mean not everyone has that much to shell out for a knife. When you compare this with other knives of similar material build such at zt or spyderco military you have to consider that perhaps what you pay for is for aesthetics and perhaps brand name instead of quality.
@Temperdgrump I couldn't agree with your more... striders are priced very steeply, especially given their somewhat mediocre fit and finish. I wouldn't put a Military in the same category, but a ZT is very similarly overbuilt, and has arguably better fit and finish. However, a lot of people buy Striders for their warranty.
Different strokes for different folks. The thing is, once you buy a Military and a ZT, then what do you spend your money on?
@Temperdgrump I can swear that if you are close to me, say 3-5 feet, I´ll take you down so fast with my Strider that you don´t know what happend, and your gun would still be in your holster or belt!
@19mab68 wth....did I say anything to you? clearly me and customtac just had a conversation over what we each think of the knife, you weren't even involved in our conversation yet here you are threatening me. so do you feel like a bad ass making threats online? gtfo bro!
If i could only have one, and I was going to carry it.. I would choose the AR. It is all a matter of personal preference and whether you like a tanto or not.
you said the ass word lolz

Striderknives are very good, but they could use some better steels than s30v for their price.

What is a 0400 and 0300 desertwarfare?
customtacticals 3 years ago
i think he's talking about the TAD version of ZT 300 and 400, with camo G10 handle instead of ranger green or coyote brown
