Circle around the mountains with the invinsible

you should see a mountain, who's smaller than the rest, jump over it

Earth Crystal, You can have the evoker from the water crystal, but it's way worse than summoner.

Of course!, u can't cast FIRE (black magic) when u r a kight, or a monk, u must have the right job to do your special ability n_n

Though having playing through this game, summons are not the way to go for this game, its nice to have them all but are as useless the scholar.

Odin is below the huge castle land with the 4 towns on the right, underwater.

Leviathan is at the floating continent below the gulgan cave in a isolated lake with a shadowy figure moving around it.

Bahamut is in the mountainous parts of the right side of floating continent.

You need both the enterprise and the...fast moving one that escapes me to get these summons.

6-8: defeat Odin/Leviathan/Bahamut to obtain it or buy it in Eureka.

Leviathan: Invincible required, on lake dohr, the lake on the floating continent with ths shadow in it. Get through the dungeon and battle it.

Bahamut: Invincible required, south east, on one of the mountains you can fly past. Get through the dungeon to battle it.

You buy some, like Ifrit and Shiva, from magic shops. Bahamut and Leviathan are optional bosses.

and you can get the summoning spells for Levithan, Bahamut and Odin in Eureka in Crystal Tower. But be sure to have lots of money.

you can buy most of them in Village of the Ancients and you find Odin, Leviathan, and Bahamut. Right at the end of the game you can buy those too though.

u can summon with evokers but they hv white and black effects. white is always defencive and black's always offencive. however when u choose summon, it will randomly pick whether it uses black or white, u can't choose. but with summoners the espers always hv offensive moves, however they do WAY more damage than if u used an evoker. but u'll only unlock summoners as a job after retrieving the crystal of the earth.

its funny how the attacks are good in this one but how the summons appear is crappy but in 4 for the ds how the appear is longer but the actually attack is crappy prefer this way cause the first few times are good to look at the animation but there comes a stage for me were i just want the effect of the summon to happen quick and take the hp off the enemie

It's a handheld game. It's supposed to go faster than a bigass PS2 experience.

The fights are all a lot faster than in other FFs. It's a different thing, making the coolest looking FFs for a TVscreen, or a fast paced FF for a handheld.

Sorry but your comment gave me few chuckles especially since DS is way more powerful than PS1. So I don't think there would be any real limitations in consoles in these days anymore so I think it has something to do with "trying to be original" though I "as used in to them" would have kinda prefered them to be more cinematic.

oh yeah any1 know that odin gives off a rare drop/steal item. its called gungnir and its a dragoon spear. attk 140 + 10 hp and something else!! enjoy ! only job lvl 70 thief can get:)

it can only be done if u use a summoner. sage and evoker can only use the black and white effect of the summon

I'm not sure, but I think it was due to memory constraints. Square usually puts a lot of effort behind the visual effects of their games.

The animations probably arn't as flashy because you could play the entire game withought the summoner class, so i guess they didn't think it was neceesary to inclide fancy animations if some people wern't going to be using them.

It is worth the money and it is a good game.

There are some really stupid things, like the inability to save in dungeons and before bosses, that will cause moderate to high frustration.

If you're a natural lover of the FF series you should love it.

Get a geomancer job lvl 40 and if you're lucky your geomancer will use shadow flare and probably hit 9000+. my team for fighting Odin was 2 warriors and 2 geomancers

Get the two Horns of Ice by getting into Toad form at the back of Dwarven Hollow and diving in. Once inside, cure yourself of Toad. You'll have to fight Gutsco at the end...

My whole party was level 35 O_o I must've been lucky. I faced him 3 times, the last time he didn't use it xD You should at least try to get last jobs before fighting him, though. Devout has 14 level 6 MP at job level 1, meaning you can curaga every turn if you want, or wait until the near end.

DShikigami, what level should you be, before taking on Odin, all my guys are 37 37 38 41, I can whoop his ponys' ass until July, its just that his Zantetsuken hits my team for 1000-1200, and I try to recover, but immediately the next turn, he uses it again, giving my guys no time to heal, so, I'm stuck on him, please please reply

my people were lvl 48 i think, but i have my team as ninja, blackbelt devout, and sage. In the players guide it says dont face him until you are at least his lvl, which is 40. i always make my sage and devout use curaga and curaja on everybody and let the rest do the fighting. i hope this helps...
