Dave does it make a big difference where the engine is.You have it just in front of the stabilizers, Ive seen jet with the engine slightly back about even with the middle of the stabilizers...Im sure this effects the CG.What is the best way?.Thank you in advance

Nice work Dave. That is a very nice and scale looking F-22 for sure. The Added rudder-ons =) seem to be a little overkill, as they likely rob much of the surface air from the elevons, but it is a great theory to test regardless. Merry Christmas!

The issue is people's appetite for new content is voracious. Dave only has limited time to produce new videos. The new planes are more technical. On another note, Dave's and scott's attitude leave a lot to be desired lately. Posting a video on a medium such as youtube, when the subject matter includes technical theory that some viewers have experience on, theres going to be discussions. IE rudder flex X-31 video, a lot of attitude that wasnt needed in responding to comments.
@digitaldissent patience becomes a limited thing when dealing with thousands of people that are consistently "voracious, selfish, and rude". After 4 years of video production.. the first comment that was on this video was "we dont care about your personal life, we want more videos"/ THAT WARRANTS the attitude in my books. People are getting more rude and disrespectful with time, and I for one find it to be boorish. I have no problem speaking out against people arrogant and PIG like meanness.
Great job, keep them coming. I am sure you already know this, but don't let others effect how you feel. I see a negative rant on the page, I am sure it is just someone having a bad day.
@NuttyPro67 im a second year aerospace engineering student and iv been flying/around model/actual aircraft for about 14years... and i know that if you increase your angle of attack it will increase the induced drag (and paracitic drag as well probably) which will slow you down which with the high angle of attack will induce seperation. also if you are using spoilers as well the drag is increased even more= manuvering + stall. and why are you talking about my goverment...? bit odd dont you think?
@Vrael1022 Great, so it's taken you TWO YEARS to figure out what we did in just a few test flights. Spoilerons lift the nose up and put the aircraft at the perfect attitude for a landing. Yes, it causes drag, yes it causes loss of altitude and yes all of those effects are desirable when your wing loading is so low. The wing CAN stall, thats fine. The spoilerons keep the AILERONS from stalling, which is all you need for landing.

@Aircraftfreak155 If you had any idea what you were talking about, I'm pretty sure you'd realise there's nothing wrong with their flying. Dave uses gyros and modifications because a) they can, b) its a bit of fun, c) its more relaxing to fly a stable plane.

I'm not hating on you, I think there's something to it. But don't forget they are prototyping many of their ideas, which is why they crash. Its not about not being able to fly and gyros really simply assist, they do not fly for you.

That my friend is not an excuse, First off, both on PC and MAC it spell checks your entries in any box weather is be email or word document. Second, Dyslexia is about the pronunciation and misconstruing of words. In either speaking reading or hearing. As for Capitalization and inappropriate spacing of your words, I would attribute that to laziness. Great work Dave!

These people work long hours to build and test planes for us, as well as making a video.
To be honest with you where would we be now without all our modern technology in planes. If im correct this is a scale model of the F-22 Raptor and if you havent noticed on the F-22 the thrusters are moveable (don't know the correct term) so they move up and down as and when the pilot wants them to.
@Aircraftfreak155 well pal using gyro's is called innovation .....if the US military thinks like u i guess the United states would have the funniest military in the wold....us fighter planes would be bi-planes and wielding single shot rifle and sabers...being top of your engineering class doesn't means ur better than the others...if ur best in ur class and u dont dare try new innovations like gyro then ur just a glorified repair man not an engineer top or not

As someone who deals with this type of disrespect everyday on youtube and the internet - most of the ungrateful people - and kids alike need to see that this will not be tolerated. you an I will have to agree to disagree. I have held my text back for the last 2 years.. and that seems to be the problem. no one says whats right and wrong anymore.

I was saying they need to learn to fly rather than using gyros and crashing there planes constatly As for my spelling iam severly dislexic so no need to callme un educate iam on the top in my enginering class for macanical drawlings an iam rciveing a full paid 4 year scholersip to the university of Arizona for it. i would be afinded by our rudness and incondiit actions but iam all to used to having it happen constaly

@Aircraftfreak155 If you had any idea what you were talking about, I'm pretty sure you'd realise there's nothing wrong with their flying. Dave uses gyros and modifications because a) they can, b) its a bit of fun, c) its more relaxing to fly a stable plane.

@Aircraftfreak155 So whatever happened to proof-reading your comments then? Dyslexia makes you mix up letters inside syllabels in the wrong order, but not screw up entire texts as if you don't know the actual words or didn't make time to properly write them down.
I'm not hating on you, I think there's something to it. But don't forget they are prototyping many of their ideas, which is why they crash. Its not about not being able to fly and gyros really simply assist, they do not fly for you.

@Aircraftfreak155 Ok I am dyslexic as well but for the fact of not using spell check and not spacing in the correct places online. That my friend is not an excuse, First off, both on PC and MAC it spell checks your entries in any box weather is be email or word document. Second, Dyslexia is about the pronunciation and misconstruing of words. In either speaking reading or hearing. As for Capitalization and inappropriate spacing of your words, I would attribute that to laziness. Great work Dave!

@Aircraftfreak155 hello, the whole point of all this is that they are experimenting with what works best.
These people work long hours to build and test planes for us, as well as making a video.
To be honest with you where would we be now without all our modern technology in planes. If im correct this is a scale model of the F-22 Raptor and if you havent noticed on the F-22 the thrusters are moveable (don't know the correct term) so they move up and down as and when the pilot wants them to.

@Aircraftfreak155 well pal using gyro's is called innovation .....if the US military thinks like u i guess the United states would have the funniest military in the wold....us fighter planes would be bi-planes and wielding single shot rifle and sabers...being top of your engineering class doesn't means ur better than the others...if ur best in ur class and u dont dare try new innovations like gyro then ur just a glorified repair man not an engineer top or not

And do you realize that you are disrespecting to a YOUTUBE RC GOD here?? Dave is one of the best rc flyer/designer on youtube. You cannot even make a plane close to Dave's planes.
So in conclusion, you need to learn to fly and learn about rc.
