Iodine and iodide are not the same thing. IodiDe is what is in your seafood, seaweed etc. IodiNe that is added to table salt (poison) is also not good for you.
@guitarlovenjc You can't know that they are, but can't know that they aren't. I don't know how it is in Canada, but in the US, MSG can be listed under things like 'natural flavor', 'spices' and some other things.
I never thought I would test the detox properties of eggplant so soon (see my comment 4 weeks ago). I ate something that made me very sick for 4 days and on the 4th day I ate eggplant and it cured me immediately! This is truly a powerful vegetable medicine that may have saved my life!
Really... I did not know that the nightshade eggplant could suck out toxins from the body. Great theme for addressing the poison in our water... My favorite salt is Kala Namak. (Himalayan Black Sulfur Salt), which is therapeutic.. I use chorella and cilantro juice for pulling heavy metals out of the cells.
Hey Sonia, I guess you are downtown, you can get some raw cheese from Mourelatos (st Catherine and guy) I get mine from there, the brand is called: "fromagerie l'ancetre" it's a bit more expensive but for the quality it's totally worth it! Thanks for the videos I'll give these burritos a try!
@Kaede069 Really? Wow that would make it a lot easier for me. I usually have to go to St Laurent or Atwater market to get it. So I don't go very often.
Given that people are cooking less at home and buying either restaurant or processed foods, iodine intakes in the U.S. have declined from about 250 μg/day to 157 micrograms/day. Public health authorities recommend 150 μg or more and the need is particularly acute for expectant mothers. Daily Iodine intakes of 1,000 - 1,100 μg are safe for adults and children over 4 years of age.
In the United States, this began to be recognized during the First World War This led to a widespread movement to add iodine to salt. Some salt producers were initially reluctant, but by the mid-1920s, iodized salt was extremely common in many American markets. Given the success of American iodized salt, other nations began to include the additive in their salt as well, protecting their populations from fully preventable conditions caused by iodine deficiency.
Many things are natural sources of iodine. Saltwater fish and sea vegetables, for example, both contain abundant amounts of iodine. The material can also be found in plants grown on soil which is rich in oceanic materials, and in animals grazed on such soils. In some regions of the world, however, access to iodine is limited, and conditions like goiter are epidemic.
odine appears to have an important impact on the health of the thyroid gland. unhealthy thyroid can lead to a number of conditions, including goiter A condition called cretinism, characterized by developmental and mental delays, is also caused by iodine deficiency. The role of iodine intake in both of these conditions was recognized in the 20th century, and since they are fully preventable through diet, public health advocates hope to entirely eliminate them at some point.
sorry but Iodine salt is the best choice! for salt it was added in the 1950's north America has always had Iodine defiant soil. a necessary nutrient . and will aid in reducing Cancer from all types of Radiation Exposure !! the people that tell you sea salt is better for have been deceived. so unless you live near the ocean an can get seaweed regularly in your diet your cancer rate is 10x hire ! do some research on Iodine. wost country's have enough Iodine in there soil we do not !
Spices in the ingredients list doesn't automatically mean it's MSG. Also most people are very deficient in iodine. It used to be in our bread but they replaced it with something that actually depletes iodine. In Japan where they eat 50 times more iodine than us by eating seaweed they have the lowest rated of things like breast cancer while we in north america who ingest the least iodine have the highest rates.
@jackson32 i agree Iodine was added back when we had a real Government of the People! now they are spreeding lies to get people to eat sea salt with out the Iodine! that will raise the Cancer risk 10x

The nutritional components in grape seed oil provide a variety of healthy benefits, one of the most important being their ability to slow down and reverse free radical damage and reduce the risk of disease – especially heart disease – and slow skin aging. Grape seed oil is a powerful antioxidant, 50 times more potent than Vitamin E and 20 times more effective than Vitamin C in destroying these free radicals, harmful molecules that roam the body and damage cells.
Other studies show that certain components in grape seed oil can help protect the body from sun damage, improve vision, improve flexibility in joints, arteries and body tissue, improve blood circulation and reduce allergic and asthmatic symptoms by inhibiting the formation of histamines.

I always like to fry my tortillas a little on a flat skillet before I fold n roll. Just a flip so they blister a little. That is a good recipe, I like:)
Grass fed beef is good but you can only get if you live by Amish, fortunately a lot of them live in Ohio...Millet is a great source of natural folic acid.
I commend you on your brave cooking. However why are you using a plastic implement meant to slide under flat things like omelets and crepes, instead of a wooden spatula? Also a better cooking pot is cast iron because it conducts the heat more uniformly so you can simmer on low heatr and your mess never burns.
Another thing, why are you using onion powdetr and later add raw onion?
Anyway I learned about eggplant detox properties, thanks for the info.
It's so easy to make your own bouillon. You throw in a bunch of vegetables in a food processor- celery root, leeks, shallots, parsley, carrot, etc with some salt. It doesn't solidify so it'll last forever in the freezer.
If you google 'Homemade Bouillon' you'll find a bunch of recipes.
wow cool Im gonna start eating eggplant. Ya know when I first learned about gmos even before I noticed the flavor is totally gone from tomatoes and bannanas. We had so many strawberries and raspberries this year and when I ate a strawberry from the store it was huge but, it had almost a tastless fake taste to it. But the ones from the yard you could almost taste the acid in it and it was so much better. Now we have a garden of our own. ur food looks so good!
Also canned stuff has plastic lining on the inside of the can and with acidic canned veggies like tomatoes it sucks out a lot of the BPA that is in the can lining. So even organic canned tomatoes...will kill you.
I tried vegetarianism for 3 months and was always tired and listless...it's not for everyone. If I don't eat grass fed meat at least three times a week, I'm a boat without a sail...otherwise, I say it's good for a good portion of the population
@mike6459 Same here if I don't have meat I lose energy and I even look pale and unhealthy. But I live in a part of the country that raises a lot of beef and I see the cattle roaming around grazing and stuff so I know that the meat I eat around here isn't gonna be that bad for me
Great dish! Add some homemade guacamole, lime or cilantro for a zesty twist! Love the Funky Jazz Intro...it adds to the ambiance of the cooking experience...LOL

MSG is glutamate. perhaps its a flavor enhancer because our bodies crave it .
