If you check out the desert in the Middle-east, its not only "western civilization" that is unsustainable. As a woman, I feel burning women to death when widowed(Indian civilization-suttee), binding their feet(China) or mutilating their vaginas so they scar shut& have to be cut open for marriage (Africa-infibulation) were all traditions from traditional societies that we are well off without.

I read the article. Black rhino numbers have fallen by 95% in the last three decades to just about 3000, which seems like a very precarious number to me.

And on the same internet page, there was an ad for the a pearl necklace, "the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe".

Its so disturbing, the news is reported, (or so often, NOT) and then everyone just goes on doing what they do.

But what are we doing to change our own lives? Couldn't hear your video, no sound on this computer.
