  • Sweet sounds.....:>)

  • Very Cool. I'm impressed! I really like the sound. Although the name of the organ is inspired by the G F Handel piece the real name of the musical piece is "Gökvalsen" which is swedish for "The Cuckoo Walz ". It was written in 1913 by a swedish composer by the name of Emanuel Jonasson.

  • that thing is a work of art in itself, good work.

  • This is the John Smith busker organ

  • great video and real nice song, thanks for the upload. amellov65

  • I'm stunned by how gorgeous this is. Amazing.

  • Why can't I view this video? :´-(

  • @landsfadern Disregard my latest comment. The builder of this organ is a genius!

  • love the sound and quality great job done building it too , well done ...

  • How do you build a crank organ? Very cool!

  • Do an internet search for "John Smith Organs". You will be amazed by what amateur organ builders are creating in their home workshops! You will also find sources for plans, kits, and parts.

  • That organ is adorable. I love the song too. XD

  • I am building a 20 note john smith organ with my dad! I hope it sounds as good as this!

  • Allways like that cuckoo tune , i have it in my cuckoo clock here, thanks for posting it !

  • That has to be one of my favorites. The monkey one is my favorite.

I'm just now working to order the universal 26 plans, but I may also order the 20 to possibly do a similar organ to yours.

  • fantastic facade

  • that sounds great!

  • What a impressive street organ. Unfortunately i am not so practical-"I have the the thumb in the middle of my hand." Have you built this yourself? You must have had a big A in craftmanship in school.

  • Oh WOW!! Thanks for letting me know the piece.

  • When I saw "Cuckoo and Nightingale" I was expecting to hear the Handel Organ Concerto with that name. It was written for a keyboard organ with a specification similar to this one.

  • I do have a couple of classical music arrangements, 'Water Music' and 'Harmonious Blacksmith' that sound very nice even with the limited scope of this instrument.

The Handel concerto was, in fact, the inspiration for the name of the organ.

  • I just don't know where I can get myself a small street organ like that, but this organ and the song is great!

  • You can build one yourself from scratch using plans, you can build one from a kit, and there are manufacturers you can order from if you're not into building. (See video info) The song "Cuckoo Waltz" is available from suppliers of music rolls for 20 note organs.

    The Cuckoo wals

  • Very,Very nice. Are these something you make to sell? I'd love to know more.

  • As one who enjoys building things in my home workshop, I have been inspired to become an "amateur organ builder" by the clever designs of Mr. John Smith in England. These designs have allowed hundreds of people the world over to construct their own hand crank organs from locally available materials.

  • beautiful, you build treasures, and it sounds wonderful

  • Thank you so much for posting these little organs for all to see. you are truly a craftsman, and your antimated facades are delightful! Wonderful Job !!!!!!

  • Nice to hear one of my arrangements on this beautiful organ! Well done!

  • This is a very delightful organ. I love the annimation of the figures on the front. Good job!

  • Delizioso!
