  • Are you aloud to do show jumping and switch to western because I really want to become an instructor and teach kids western and English

  • @Ilovemodelhorses You can take as many seat styles as youd like (of the 4). I highly suggest a semester in each.

  • @WarmbloodJumper Thank you for responding and giving me some input! I've had trouble getting feedback from people who have attended or graduated WWU. Would you recommend any other equestrian colleges that may better suit my goals? I was really looking into going to Meredith Manor like my instructors daughter did, but its far too expensive for me.

  • @Equestrian08 Shoot me an email at KaylaEQS@gmail.com and I can explain any questions in greater detail ;) These reply boxes dont leave me enough room :)

  • I am heavily considering attending WWU for their equestrian studies, but I really would like to get some input from riders who have attended the school, or who are currently attending the school. I wish to become a trainer and riding instructor with my main focus being in dressage and jumping. I have no show experience other than the occasional small open schooling shows in my area. Do you think WWU would be right for me, and give me the knowledge and experience I need to start my career?

  • @Equestrian08 In my experience, you will not become a trainer or instructor coming out of a 4 year program like this. You will be improved upon and learn a lot of great riding skills, but of all the people I know who left there from the program, I know about 5 with jobs. WWU is a great school with great horses and for me personally, it was a wonderful fit. If you attend this school, be prepared to work for many people before becoming a trainer yourself. I think this is true for ANY 4 year...

  • @WarmbloodJumper At WWU do they have horses for you to ride or do you bring your own?

  • @animallover12698 These are all school horses. You will ride theirs :)

  • @WarmbloodJumper ok I didnt know if they required you to have your own horse! thank you! :)

  • Bucky!!! I love her, she was so fun to ride.

  • I am actually interested in going there this fall, but I don't know if I can afford it either. Did you apply for Financial Aid or Scholarships?

  • @Cbishop007 Ohhh, yes. But for my middle class family and average HS grades it just didnt help me enough :/ Im glad I went though

  • How is the school? I really wnat to go there

  • I'm thinking about going to this school, and doing saddle seat! How do you like it?

  • I actually dont go anymore. I could no longer afford it, but I loved it there. (:

  • Go Val and Pete!!

  • @TymeRyde I loveee Pete (:

  • I'm a Val fan, we'll have to make team t-shirts. :)

  • Can't stand saddle seat. but i'm interested in taking a jumping class @ the camp...do you know when's the soonest we can send in apps.?

  • When I went to the Woods we dressed and groomed the horses for on campus shows...

  • i might go there for college
